replacedaround the customers in-ground swimming pool along with general landscaping work to be completed.A fifty percent down payment was made per agreement prior to start of services and in confidence thatwe would provide exceptional work for the customer.During the job it had been brought to my attention that the swimming pool liner was in need ofbeing repaired or replaced. Premier Landscaping is an honest company, therefore the issue wasimmediately addressed to the homeowner in order for it to be corrected while it was exposedpreventing the customer from additional cost in the future. A swimming pool company came to the siteand made the repair. It was alter the swimming pool company had come and gone that the customerhad stopped us from our work and stated that she no longer wanted us working on the concrete. Shestated that she had plans along with a quote from someone else to finish it. At this time PremierLandscaping had six days of labor along with heavy machinery cost on the property . The old concretehad been completely broken apart and removed at this point and all that remained was for the newconcrete to be poured. The customer was made aware that the down payment was put toward thesecosts of the heavy machinery rental and labor however she was not satisfied after being made awarethat she could not have this refunded to her. Once again it was advised to the customer that this was afifty percent down payment that was non refundable due to having been on site with laborers and heavymachinery for six days.Let it be known that the customer also contraindicated herself in her statement of complaint tothe Belter Business Bureau. In open she stated that there was a verbal agreement made for the work tobe done and that it would cost the customer a total of $ 10,000. She also stated that she provided the$5,000 down payment and that these figures had been discussed. Whether or not a written estimate ofservices had been produced immediately the customer had verbally agreed to these figures inconfidence having provided us these funds to begin work. If the homeowner was not in agreement tothe cost or questioning the capability of this company to provide quality work for her as stated then itshould have been her responsibility to disallow permission for the work to begin or provide the agreedupon down payment in order to rent the necessary equipment and begin work. It should not have beenafter the majority of the work had been completed that the customer decided that she wanted her moneyback due to lack of trust in the work. As the owner of the company I was completely honest andupfront the entire duration from start to finish and immediately after discovering the need for theswimming pool liner to be repaired. A dishonest company would have continued the work in order tosave time knowing that the customer would be forced to spend more money down the road having thenew concrete torn part.Premier Landscaping did not return to the property to complete landscaping work due to nothaving the confidence that this customer would not attempt to do the same and decide to back out onceagain halfway through the job agreed upon. In line seven of her complaint she had stated questioningme of my experience in concrete and yes, swimming pools are different in comparison to sidewalkshowever we were not completing work on the swimming pool itself which is why 1 had a separatecompany come to the site to repair the liner. Also, if it had been a job that I was not confident inproviding 100% quality work I would have immediately denied the job so that I would not be wastingthe customer nor company's time.Thank You for allowing for my statement of reply and Premier Landscaping provides apologyfor any distress this may have caused the customer.Sincerely,Brian D[redacted]Premier Landscaping and Snow Removal
