In response to *** ***s complaint.shortly after *** hired me to do the work at his house I was diagnosed with a serious heart conditionThis prevented me from doing physical laborI had explained all of this to *** and he understoodDuring this time I had done everything possible to sub
contract the work out to a few different contractors but unfortunately I couldn't count on anyone and had a difficult time getting any of them to show up to do the work.During this time I was able to do some minor plumbing in the basement which was part of the bathroom project.In addition my electrician had come over to do some wiring and other electrical work in the bathroom which was part of the contract between *** and IWhen my electrician came over he had noticed ***s service panel in the basement was out dated and needed to be upgraded in order to complete the work that was requested by *** in his bathroom.*** agreed to have this work done and we agreed on a price of $This was in addition to the work which I had quoted him for his bathroom remodelSo when *** states "that I came to him and asked him for more money, this was the reason whyIt was a separate issue and was not part of the bathroom project.At this time my electrician had explained to *** that his meter and outside service also needed to be updated for everything to be done right because everything outside was outdated as well*** stated he did not want to do this at the time because of financesMy electrician gave him a figure on doing the outside repairs and told *** to get in touch with him when he was ready to have the work completed.Shortly after this, *** had a complaint that he had another electrician come look at the work and stated that my electrician did not do the work properlyMy electrician had made several phone calls to *** to discuss the matter with him but *** never returned any of his calls*** was well aware that he was calling him and that he was more than willing to come over and discuss the situation but *** neglected to speak with him.*** had texted me a quote that was given by his new electrician and 90% of the work on his quote was doing the repair and labor that needed done on the outside to upgrade and have his service done properly*** continually kept making a point that my electrician had not done the work properly but yet ***would not let my electrician come over and discuss the matter to correct it.*** stated he was blowing breakers etc and had to turn his power off for safety reasonsMy electrician had told me it was because his outside electric needed replaced because it was over loading and I left a message with *** explaining thatAgain NO RESPONSE FROM ***.When *** states he couldn't get a hold of me and I wouldn't return his calls, that is so far from trueHe wouldn't answer his phone or return my calls to discuss any of it.He had already made up his mind that he wanted a full refund from meI did not have a problem giving *** a refund but I did deduct from his original deposit of $1400.00, the plumbing work and the electrical work that was done in the bathroomMy electrician charged me $for the work he had done in the bathroom so that was deducted out of the $*** had given me*** expected a full refund but why would he expect me to pay the $of work that was completed already.In addition ***s roommate began leaving me threatening and harassing messages on my phone as well as text messagesAll in which I have saved and recordedThere was no reason for any of thisAfter several days of me not replying to his inappropriate messages he texted me apologizing for his behavior stating he has a *** disorder and cant control himself.In addition *** has one of my expensive power tools valued at $that he will not return to meHis roommate texted me and said he was going to throw it off of a cliff.*** has no valued or legitimate complaint against me and I consider this to be settled beside I want my power tool returned.Thank you, *** ***/dba Premier Painting and property maintenance
