I have attached a copy of [redacted] 's contract and Paragraph is clear on terms and times to discontinue service without penaltyAgain, I could have not offered anything and pursued Contractual obligationSo, again, the client unilaterally breached the contract because of a change in his communications system to my central station and wants me to be penalized for his actionsThat is not fair and legally indefensibleThank you, Bob H [redacted] , GM

The complaint mentioned above arrived while I was out of state on vacationWhile I was away I asked my staff members to reach out to the ***’sThey did contact the customer and the system upgrade was explained, scheduled and then performed last Friday to the ***’s satisfactionI feel the need to mention that at No time were they in any more danger after my letter to them informing them of the impending actions to be taken by the FCC in than before the letterMy only fault was not personally calling them back in a timeframe acceptable to themSo, I would respectfully ask you to, please close this complaint as the ***’s have settled into a good relationship with my staffThank you,ALTRONICS SECURITY SYSTEMS Bob H [redacted] , GM

I am rejecting this response because:
I called and spoke to Jean K*** at Altronics about cancellingShe instructed me to email her and request a refund of my prepaid balanceAt no time did any cancellation charges come up in conversationWhen questioned about the small refund, MsK*** deferred to MrH***, who declined to answer my direct emails (2) to him regarding a reason for the small refundI am aware of no contractI had Altronics for years, paid each year in advance and annually received nothing but a simple invoice with no contractAltronics equipment was purchased outrightIt was maintained at my expenseI have all invoices to prove sameThere was no subsidy of any kind typical in an alarm monitoring contract with others offering such subsidyShow me the contractYou should have done this or offered to during my initial call asking how to terminate

*** *** chose to change phone service in his homeHe should have confirmed with the phone service provider that his alarm system would function on the new phone systemApparently he did notInstead he wants to place the blame on Altronics and terminated his alarm monitoring serviceThe
Altronics standard contract which he signed when the system was installed has specific terms and termination language as well as an auto renewalAuto renewal is kept in place to protect against liability insurance and terminated contracts*** *** was in the three year renewal period when he terminatedI did not have to issue a refund, in fact, I could have pushed for contractual obligation and cost him even more money for unilaterally breaching the contractInstead I issued a courtesy amount of $130.00.
