I spoke to Mr*** today about his tire issue. He is going to bring the tire receipt into me so I can make another attempt to get him reimbursed through the Ford warranty. If we are unable to do so we spoke of another option to take care of his concern. We are currently waiting on parts to take care of his other concerns under warranty. I feel the fact that I have not been contacted to resolve any of my issues other than the efforts I have made to get the vehicle into the service department is highly unprofessionalI have been a service manager and warranty administrator at a local Ford dealerI currently operate five automotive repair facilities in the Cleveland areaAs far as bringing my vehicle to this service department for maintenance, I will never bring it there for maintenanceI change my oil using Mobil full synthetic oil and a *** filter every 5,milesFord calls for the oil change to be done every 7,and only using synthetic blend 5woilIf anything I exceed the maintenance requirements that Ford recommendsI rotate my tires at every oil change, using the cross rotate pattern and properly torque all lug nuts to specification. I also check my alignment every other oil change or 10,milesSo for the tires on this vehicle to be worn out at such low mileage is clearly a defect in the productThis dealership could offer assistance from Ford, but they CHOOSE not toAs far as the other issues I have had (with a $50,vehicle) yes they are working on fixing themIt appears to me that I am not being treated fairly because I choose to not spend additional money in there service departmentI say what's right is right, if there are issues and Ford could take care of it then they shouldI am not asking for a lot when it comes to the tires, I had new 20" tires put on the vehicle for $If I would have done the tires in the dealership, even with the "prorated price" it would have cost me far more than thatFurther more the service writer I was talking with on the tire issue claimed that only of the tires would have qualified for replacement, due to the one tire being replaced under the wheel and tire coverage that I purchased from the finance department when I purchased the vehicleThe result of only changing the tires would have caused damage to the vehicle drive trainThis is an all wheel drive vehicle and the tires need to be within 1/inch circumference at all four corners or else it can cause damage to the transmission and or transfer caseI did what was proper for this vehicle by replacing all the tiresI also upgraded the tire to one with a higher speed rating and a heavy load side wall, which performs better on this particular vehicleIf I was your average consumer I may except this situation for what it isI am not your average automotive consumer and I am very well educated on matters pertaining to vehicle repair and maintenanceMy main concern at this point is the issue with my tiresI was just in the service department and was told they threw out the old tires that they could have gotten credit from Ford forI will continue to take the vehicle in for warranty service as I am entitled to and in accordance with Ford warrantyAll I am asking for is someone to do the right thing

While we strive to keep all of our customers completely satisfied with their vehicle during the entire ownership experience, some things are out of our control.  Mr. [redacted] has brought his vehicle into AutoNation Ford Amherst 2 times in the 1 year and 10 months that he...

has owned it.  The first visit was May 02, 2016 when he had run over something and blew out the left rear tire, we replaced the tire under his warranty at no charge.  At that time the vehicle had 10,313 miles and the other tires were in good condition.  The next visit was April 19th, 2017, with 24,707 miles, we looked at a corrosion concern on the front edge of the hood.  At that time we repaired the concern under Ford warranty at no charge.  When the vehicle was completed in body shop it our service department where we looked at a concern on his power mirrors when they fold in and out as well as a humming noise that he was experiencing around 80 mph.  At that time we found no issues with the mirrors but there was a concern with the front cowl so we ordered parts to fix the issue under Ford warranty.  We made several attempts to contact the customer to come in to get the part replaced.  In between Mr. [redacted]'s warranty visits he brought in worn tires that we were told were taken off his vehicle and requested that we cover them under warranty.  Since the tires had been removed from the vehicle by an outside shop there was no way to get them covered under Ford warranty.  The fog lamps on the 2016 [redacted] Sport came standard with halogen bulbs, the LED's were a $150.00 factory option, which Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle did not come equipped with.  Mr. [redacted] has done none of the scheduled maintenance on his vehicle through this dealership.  Since the time the complaint was filed Mr. [redacted] has brought his vehicle in for us to look at the air conditioned seat and the power mirrors, we are also installing the plastic cowl that was ordered several months ago.  I spoke to my service manager and was informed that we would be fixing the air conditioned seat under Ford warranty and that Ford has recently released a Technical Service Bulletin advising us what to do in order to address Mr. [redacted]'s concern on the noise the mirrors make when they fold in and out.
