I went to this office for a standard wellness screening. It happened to be at the beginning of the COIVD pandemic when I visited. I had not been to a wellness screening in quite some time, which I made known. I did NOT ask for or approve them to do any screening other than the traditional wellness exam. I have now recieved a bill for a full STD screening and a pregnancy test. I have been with my husband for going on 3 years and I did not suggest that I was worried bout STDs or being pregnant.
I called insurance to understand why they did not cover my exam and why the bill was so high, come to find out I was provided with services I did not request and it was now no longer considered wellness.
If you're going to this doctors office, be cautious of them doing unnessary tests to earn an extra buck.
I received a bill 2 months after my visit. When I called to get clarification, they explained that I checked off a box that said 'NOT COVERED BY MEDICARE'.
I stated there was no way I would've checked that box. They then proceeded to send me my signed paperwork....HOWEVER... it seems that box was not only checked AFTER I handed it in...but mysteriously there was also a dollar amount added.
I questioned them as to why, if there was this dollar amount $182.00, was there at my visit they didn't ask me for payment at that time? They did not have an answer.
I questioned their billing code of *** ( which correlates to a full exam) which I DID NOT RECEIVE.
Billing Adjustment I would like them to disregard a bill that not only was altered but was coded in error to begin with. I would like them to send me written confirmation that this was resolved. I have spoken to the office manager 3 times with no explanation or resolution.
We have the appropriate documentation to support this bill.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They forged the information.
I never checked the box they say was checked.
ALSO there was no dollar amount written in the paper I signed.
It miraculously appeared AFTER.
