I received a bill in the mail and was charged for services I did not ask for. I went to this drs office to receive services of a yearly exam. I never received any results on the exam. Then I received two bills. One for the [redacted] the other where it shows I was charged for [redacted] which they never advised me that I would be doing. One I do not do [redacted]. Two I was there for a yearly. It was my first time there and they advised me when I called that there is a sign in their waiting room that says they drug screen every patient that comes in. My niece went with me that same day and did not receive these same charges. I called my insurance and she said she had never seen so many charges for a [redacted]. I'm waiting for a few other things to come in so that I can take this to my lawyer. Desired SettlementI just want these charges taken away for the [redacted] screening because I did not austorize them to do it and there was no need. I will pay for the big [redacted] but not this [redacted]. Business Response As of [redacted] we perform drug screens on all patients. The screen is performed for all medications and illegal drugs that the patient may or may not inform us of. There is a sign in the waiting room that specifically states that ALL patients will receive drug screens. The sign also states that if you have any questions or concerns, you should let the medical staff know. Ms. [redacted] has not contacted the office regarding this matter except through her insurance company in which that person stated that the charges were valid. I had not spoken to Ms. [redacted] prior to that conversation. As far as her niece is concerned, I have no clue who it is, but our policy stands for everyone. Lastly, Ms. [redacted] has not received a bill from our office.
