Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,
*** ***

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/30) */
In response to *** *** complaint
Premiere Home Improvement is a for profit businessWe charge a reasonable cost of 30% over and above the cost we pay for servicesThis amount pays for insuring and warranting the services or
subcontracts that we useThe contract has always included the 30% additional charge as that is how we make our moneyThe estimate that we gave to the *** was for $10,then they added the glass doors which was intentionally excluded from the original estimate because they had a $10k budgetThe intention was for them to use a shower curtain until they could afford a glass doorOnce the project began they had knowledge of the budgeted cost for Materials and services which include mark upThey under spent on their plumbing component budget and cabinet budgetThey were given credit for the unused portion of those purchasesThey selected a frameless glass door which is nearly twice the cost of a framed door enclosureTheir existing door was framedThis is why we use budgets so that the consumer is able to select the product of their choice fully understanding the cost will increase or decrease based on their selectionActual cost of the services were given as soon as we received the field estimate from our vendors which is reflective of the size, scope, and the selections that the client makesThe *** not only selected a more expensive door but they also selected glass shelves for the shower and a new mirror to go over their vanity cabinetThese items were not in the original estimate of framed doorsThe *** also selected their shower wall treatment which was budgeted as a level cost due to them wanting to keep their budget within the estimated costThey selected a level material and a shower caddy treatment which greatly added to the costs of the shower wall treatmentI have been in business for years and never have had clients with an original budget (that was intentionally low to meet their expected cost)go so far over that estimated costThey are upset that we charged them for the materials and services that they selected knowing that the cost was increasing dramaticallyThey did not stick to their original budgetsRegarding the trellis: Prior to this complaintThe trellis has been corrected to the satisfaction of the homeowners(Saturday 6/27)The home owners agreed to an equitable settlement on the trellis of allowing the remaining materials to be used to repair the failed design that they providedWe provided materials to make the repairs at no additional cost to the homeownerWe have fulfilled the contract to the homeowners satisfaction on the bathroom and trellisThe *** currently owe $1,to complete the payment as agreed to on Monday 6/Our only recourse as a contractor is to file an intent to lien their propertyWhen *** *** refused to make that payment on Saturday 6/after the repairs to the trellis had been completed she was informed that we would lien her propertyThe subcontractors are under a paid when paid agreementI can understand why one of the subcontractors was upset when finding out that they would not get fully paid for this project until the *** paid Premiere

We also look forward to completing this project

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I am requesting that this complain remain open until the project is completed. My complaint was with regard to the timely completion of our Master Bathroom renovation by requesting attention to remaining tasks without the need for further rework or delay. Since demolition of our existing Master Bath on August 1st, the project still remains incomplete.  There has been some progress toward completion and at this time a commitment for reinstallation and rework of remaining cabinetry issues. We look forward to learning the schedule for remaining rework items and remain hopeful that Premiere will soon finish our project and earn our satisfaction.Sincerely,
[redacted]
