This is a fraud complaint. This company scammed me. On 2/25/2020 I was called and told I was due a refund for a service purchased many months before. I was told that they could not refund my credit card because it had been longer than 90 days. A person named Alex stated he would clean up my computer and would also provide me with a refund of $300. While trying to credit my online account with $200 ( he said the other $100 would come later) he put in $2000 instead of $200. Then it became an issue of trying to correct the "mistake." Alex gave me the name of Richard C G ('sp) at *** as the owner of the company. I was also given the name of Nick S (858-287-7899 - in San Diego) as the contact person.

I either called or texted Nick multiple times over the next four days 2/25 - 2/28) because they had remote access to my computer and I felt they were holding me and my computer hostage during those four days. Each time I called, I was told "give me a couple more hours" or "it will be fixed by morning" ; neither of those things were true. (Ten text messages from me and fifteen telephone calls to Nick over a period of four days. ) Nick kept telling me they were "fixing your computer" and stating that they were not doing anything "wrong." Early in this process I was convinced this was all a scam but they were in my computer and I needed them to be out of it so I kept contacting them.

The end result is that they transferred the $2000 out of my credit union account and I was charged $1332.94 on my VISA account for an Apple product I will never receive. I have contacted my credit card company and informed them of the fraud. I wrote a letter to Richard C G (if he really, indeed exists) and I will be contacting the local law enforcement office on Monday, 3/2/20 to report the fraud.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a refund of the charge they placed on my credit card; although I realize that that may not happen. I would like the individuals involved with this company charged with fraud and put out of business. Obviously I will need to take my computer to a reliable technician to assure that they did not leave anything nefarious in the system. Thank you for anything assist you can provide.
