The customer contacted us on 5/2/about purchasing a firearm and had questions about the firearm that they wish to purchaseDuring that interaction, our salesperson noted that it appeared that the customer was purchasing the firearm for a 3rd party which is considered a Straw Purchase by the ATF and is a FelonyAs a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer we are required to take steps to prevent illegal activities such as this, if we knowingly allow a straw purchase to go through we can be held accountable, lose our license, and be chargedThe customer proceeded to place an order on 5/12/for a firearm over our websiteWe reviewed the order and noticed the previous communication with this individual and determined that the order appeared likely to be a straw purchaseThe order was cancelled and the customer was issued a full refundThe customer was informed during a subsequent phone call that the order had been cancelled and we had issued a full refund for the purchaseWhen the customer was informed about the cancellation, they became verbally abusive and accusatory over the phone that they were discriminated againstWe have had thousands of satisfied female and male customers alike and we never like or intend to cancel orders; however, we are legally obligated to prevent a sale if we believe that the transaction is illicit in natureIf there are any questions as to the definition of a straw purchase it is located in ATF Publication "Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide, Section on page which discusses the legality of Straw Purchases

Customer was issued a full refund on this and can provide the receipt showing the time-stamp that it was issuedCustomer has the receipt as wellWe can include the receipt if requested however we generally only submit this to the customer due to privacy concerns. The customer threatened to chargeback us and proceeded to make further demands to us with threats being issued towards us and our businessOn the phone call with both the customer service representative and subsequently the general manager, the customer proceeded to swear frequently at both employees and stated that we should be fired (because he was not getting his way).I strongly dispute that we were hostile on the phone with him as we never swore at the customer onceHe just kept trying to talk over us on the phone anytime we tried to speak with himWe simply told him that we needed to refund in full due to his demeanor and threats.Due to the fact the customer was issuing threats (and the package was being shipped to a different name than the billing name thus highly increasing the chargeback threat), we decided to issue a full refund and not do business with the customerWe always want to do our best to rectify any situation however with this customer, however there is no way that we feel that we can do business without the looming threat of a chargeback by him

I am rejecting this response because: They not knowingly accused me of a STRAW purchase I am a CWP Holder who is entitled to purchase ANY weapon I choose to do their accusations was wrong. Also they have not issued a full refund because I still haven't received my money back as I stated before the reps was rude, dishonest and also showed discrimination towards me and should be held accountable. They were wrong and this shouldn't be tolerated

I am rejecting this response because:
I was only allotted characters to respondI tried submitting as detailed information as I could but have reached limitations, thus I had to whittle down the information to fit the Revdex.com criteriaI am not going to list other businesses names that have no reason being plastered on the Revdex.com complaint against this incompetent companyI provided the specific retailers and prices when on the phone on the 2nd of AprilNo objections where made then, not mention of me breaching your MAPThis company's primary goal since first contacting the Revdex.com was to discredit me as a source of credible information despite their non transparency and providing evidence that actually supports some of the information they refuted. If the person in charge of PrepperGunShop had any confidence in their claims they would have contacted me via phone and attempt to resolve this like a mature adultInstead they are going to hide behind the computer screen and lie about the interaction between myself and their companyThis is hands down the most blatant used car salesman tactics I've ever been subjected toIt's clear that this company just doesn't care to honor their own policy and has a severely compromised sense of moral and ethical codeWhy would they ever treat a customer like they were a liar before gathering up all the information and maybe calling that individual backI'm sure this company gets away with a lot of swindling and backpedalingFortunately, this is only one format of many in which to address this issueThanks for your timewatch your reviews ;)

The first time that we heard about this "Price Match" was on Monday when he called our customer service team and was questioning about itThere is no way that anyone here would have ever offered him $off that package as that is significantly below our buy costs on the items and we would be
losing a lot of money on the orderI have attached a screen shot showing our contacts with the customer (saying order processed and shipped with tracking number and the phone call on Monday). I also have included our email thread with him showing when tracking was sent to him that items over $would have a signature*** made no contact with us about that being an issue and we feel that it is good business practice to have higher dollar value items go with a signature to ensure the customer gets the package. In our terms and conditions on price matches, we specifically state that we will not price match if we will lose money on the order and that is what would have occurredI spoke with our customer service team and sales team this morning on this and they all stated that they had not talked to Mr*** about a price match on that (these are also in demand items currently)I just looked and added up the cheapest prices on the internet on each items (from different companies) and if ordered from each separately with no shipping would be less than $less than he paid before any additional shipping and other costs so I am not sure where this $he claims comes from. I have also attached our customer service representative's notes from the phone call showing she informed him that there was no record of this and he stated he may have called the wrong gun storeThe last we heard was him saying he may be mistaken and will call us back but we never heard from him after that phone conversation until today

It is our due diligence to refuse any purchases that we suspect could be a straw purchaseWhen our salesman noted from the first interaction that the customer sounded like they were inquiring about the firearm for someone else, that gave us cause to not proceed with the saleDue to the fact that we make sales online, we must make our decisions based on the interactions with the customer on the phoneIt was the initial call and the subsequent calls while we were closed (leaving a voicemail declaring she was leaving the voicemail during operating hours, which was not the case, for example) that led us to the determination to cancel the sale and fully refundThe customer was fully refunded the amount and was given notice that it would appear back into her account within 3-business daysWe can provide a receipt showing the date that it was put back into her account as wellWe consider this matter to be closed due to the fact that we took the proper steps in relation to the information that had been provided as per ATF regulations

ATF and is a Felony. As a Federally Licensed Firearms Dealer we are required to take steps to prevent illegal activities such as this, if we knowingly allow a straw purchase to go through we can be held accountable, lose our license, and be charged. The customer proceeded to place an order on 5/12/2017 for a firearm over our website. We reviewed the order and noticed the previous communication with this individual and determined that the order appeared likely to be a straw purchase. The order was cancelled and the customer was issued a full refund. The customer was informed during a subsequent phone call that the order had been cancelled and we had issued a full refund for the purchase. When the customer was informed about the cancellation, they became verbally abusive and accusatory over the phone that they were discriminated against. We have had thousands of satisfied female and male customers alike and we never like or intend to cancel orders; however, we are legally obligated to prevent a sale if we believe that the transaction is illicit in nature. If there are any questions as to the definition of a straw purchase it is located in ATF Publication 5300.4 "Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide, Section 15 on page 165 which discusses the legality of Straw Purchases.

Customer was issued a full refund on this and can provide the receipt showing the time-stamp that it was issued. Customer has the receipt as well. We can include the receipt if requested however we generally only submit this to the customer due to privacy concerns. The customer threatened to...

chargeback us and proceeded to make further demands to us with threats being issued towards us and our business. On the phone call with both the customer service representative and  subsequently the general manager, the customer proceeded to swear frequently at both employees and stated that we should be fired (because he was not getting his way).I strongly dispute that we were hostile on the phone with him as we never swore at the customer once. He just kept trying to talk over us on the phone anytime we tried to speak with him. We simply told him that we needed to refund in full due to his demeanor and threats.Due to the fact the customer was issuing threats (and the package was being shipped to a different name than the billing name thus highly increasing the chargeback threat), we decided to issue a full refund and not do business with the customer. I have showed all the contacts we had from the customer at your phone number/email address that was used for the order. The customer service rep was told (via their notes which you have seen) that the customer would contact back with the number that they may have used for any additional contact and we would have reviewed. We would still review if we can show any contact showing corroboration to what Mr [redacted] is stating. The item that Mr. [redacted] is stating was being offered for $343 plus 10% was never shown as proof to me. When in his response to the rejection he says "one retailer" but never says who it is so I have no verifiable information from that.  onto the price of the trigger, that has MAP (Minimum Advertised Price at 386.99). Our price match policy in addition says that we would price match items we do not lose money on plus it must be in stock for that price. We would not know about any special deals that the customer had negotiated with any other retailer so by our own policy we would not have matched that.Mr. [redacted] stated that there was a Magpul D60 on sale for $40 is a lower cost than I have ever seen. I have included a screenshot that shows (Via UPC) all competitors pricing on the Magazine and the first one at $92.99 is out of stock so there is no way that would have been selling for $40.If the customer can show us the phone number he used to contact us to make the purchase and I can listen to the phone call, I can listen to exactly what was said but the pricing that Mr. [redacted] is trying to state is just wrong and makes no sense. He stated in the call on April 9th that he has spotty service and couldn't remember due to being at the end of spring term. If he can provide the phone number or email address used, we will gladly research this further. I spoke with all of our sales associates as well and they all stated they would not have quoted that pricing.
