Prescott Valley Automotive Reviews (6)

To Whom it May Concern, First and foremost I personally did not own Prescott Valley Automotive at the time of this repair I do however, have an old invoice and parts receipts proving the purchase of all parts on the work order and work being performed Past that I don't know what else to say other than another repair facility claiming that internal engine parts(timing chain, timing chain tensioner, and timing chain guides) that have been in an engine for almost four years and over 10,miles were not replaced at the time of the repair is nothing more than an opinion Our warranty is months 12,milesAlso when a head gasket repair is done on that particular 22re [redacted] motor a timing chain replacement would be recommendation Once again I can fully assure you that the repair and parts were replaced Sincerely, Owner Operator [redacted]

and work being performed.  Past that I don't know what else to say other than another repair facility claiming that internal engine parts(timing chain, timing chain tensioner, and timing chain guides) that have been in an engine for almost four years and over 10,000 miles were not replaced at the time of the repair is nothing more than an opinion.  Our warranty is 12 months 12,000 miles. Also when a head gasket repair is done on that particular 22re [redacted] motor a timing chain replacement would be normal recommendation.  Once again I can fully assure you that the repair and parts were replaced.  Sincerely, Owner Operator[redacted]

I am [redacted] owner of Prescott Valley Automotive.  I was at a business meeting in [redacted] when it was brought to my attention that a customer who had picked up a vehicle earlier that day had...

called using Very blue language towards my wife/secretary that something wasn't right on her vehicle.  The customers name was [redacted].  I personally and immediately drove into [redacted] where she had said was able to get the car on a side street.  Once I arrived [redacted] was waiting in a doctors office.  I looked at the vehicle a [redacted] and determined that the vehicle was unsafe and needed to be towed back to the shop. I then explained to [redacted] that our shop (our technician) had been negligent in tightening a bolt I regret to say. I then drove her back to the shop where she picked up her other vehicle that was to be worked on.  Upon inspection of the [redacted] I found that the left front brake caliper bolts were to tightened properly.  Virtually the only damage, which I am very very very grateful there was no one hurt, not to play down the severity of what happened was the brake rotor backing plate was bent.  I reinstalled the brake caliper and bent the backing plate and test drove the [redacted]. Upon return [redacted] the test drive I double and triple checked everything that we serviced on the vehicle. I then called [redacted] letting her know that we had checked everything and I personally drove the vehicle 10 miles and checked it again doing my best to assure her that her vehicle was safe. I understand that after this incident that it must be difficult for her to install her trust on our work, I would probably feel the same. She then explained that that was not good enough. She stated that it was going to take a lot for her to feel safe in her vehicle. I then explained that even though I know the vehicle is safe at this point to drive that I will find the backing plate and have it replaced, which by the way is a discontinued part that took me all day Friday to hunt down.  I ordered the part and as soon as it gets to the shop I will personally install and assure that the work is done properly. Also I have not deposited the check she gave us for our services at this time due to this incident. On another note I have had a serious discussion with my employee about this incident and have taken disciplinary actions and put him on probation. We are still discussing his future with our shop. Bottom line is I understand [redacted]'s frustration and I cannot project the amount of disappointment I have on our establishment for letting this happen and will do whatever I can do in my power to make [redacted] feel safe in her automobile again.
 Sincerely,
