The customer called 6/14/17 complaining about paint damage after a new windshield was installed in their vehicle. We requested...

and they complied to send photos of the damage. In the photo there is rust in the area that the paint is missing. On 6/15/2017 I had a meeting with the windshield technician who had preformed the windshield installation in regards to the complaint being raised and he stated that the damage was preexisting and that the rust that is in the area were the paint is missing shows that the damage was preexisting. I requested that [redacted] ask the customer to bring vehicle in so that we can examine the issue with the paint. The customer's husband brought the vehicle in on 6/16/2017 at approximate 3:30 pm and I, [redacted] introduced myself to the customers husband in our parking lot next to the vehicle in question. I observed the issue that was the nature of the complaint and as our installed had noticed prior to the installation that there was rust in the areas where the paint was missing. I attempted to explain this to the customer's husband and he denied that there was rust and asked me to show him where there was rust in the area where the paint was missing. I then pointed to the areas where the rust was and he refused to acknowledge that there was rust, I have attached several picture that were taken by the customer that clearly show the rust in the area in question. This damage was not caused during the replacement of the windshield at our company. Therefore our Presleys Glass, Inc should not be held responsible for any repairs associated with the complaint.
