Presque Isle Passage

Review: This business is now known as Presque Isle Passage. And its website address has changed. I stayed here last week in two of their facilities. Both reservations were made over the phone. My husband checked in after hours by getting a key from the after hours box. It had been placed there by a clerk who spoke to me on the phone. During none of these interactions were either of us made aware of the policies providing for card numbers being kept on file, a deposit being withheld, or cleaning fees being assessed from customer who do not comply with a very strict cleaning inspection. We were also not provided with a way to report any damage that was there prior to check in. When we checked in to our new room on day two, we were informed of the cleaning policy. I complied with it upon checkout, using all of the tools provided. Regardless of this, I was charged a fee that was taken from my bank account unbeknownst to me. When I questioned the office about it via phone from my home, I was informed I was being charged for not cleaning the first room the right way, and for having put up a broken remote control that they then "had trouble finding." The remote control was not the only thing in the camper that was damaged prior to my arrival. It is my opinion that these fees are being assessed from campers who cannot adhere to the strict policies and that money is being taken from people's accounts without their authorization.Desired Settlement: I would like my fee back, and I would like this business examined for arbitrary fee collections and policy designed to ensnare consumers. I would also like to be refunded a portion of my money, due to the fact that this man's rude behavior humiliated me in front of his staff and my camper was poorly furnished and dirty.
