Review: I brought my 2006 Acura RSX for repair on or about the ** day of May 2013. I paid, CASH in advance, for the parts $1,900.00 and $1,500.00 for the labor. The job was supposed to be completed in three days. While the car was in the parking lot a week and a half later it was damaged by the manager sitting on the car drinking his coffee. The car was promised to be completed on the [redacted] at 3:00 p.m. and finally by the [redacted] of June guaranteed 100%. I received no reply to my inquiries on the [redacted] if the car was completed. Therefore, I decided to pay Prestige Auto Body & Restoration a visit. Upon my arrival, the manager told me the car only needs to be washed. However, upon my inspection the work was way below the industry standards. I pointed out the multiple flaws in body fitment, paint finish etc. and, was told to speak with the boss-[redacted]. However, [redacted], was no where to be found. calls and text messages remained unanswered. Finally, I decided to pull the vehicle out on or about the ** day of June 2013. At that point [redacted] was there and pleaded for me to leave the car and allow them to complete the job. I agreed to return the vehicle in the middle of the week. However, later that afternoon, while performing an oil change on my car, I noticed the unibody frame was sheared. The following morning I returned to Prestige Auto Body & Restoration but found [redacted] was not there. Apparently he went to the mountains and could not be reached. However, the manager admitted that he worked on the vehicle and damaged the chassis. I asked him if he told anybody about it and he said he didn't. So evidently, he [the manager] was willing to deliver the car in that unsafe, compromised condition. Furthermore, I purchased brand new headlight assemblies from Acura (which are very expensive) and let's just say-the old headlamps are in better shape than the new ones. The headlamp assembly was modified by the manger and cannot be adjusted properly. Additionally, fitment is substandard (OEM parts are supposed to fit like a glove with no fitment issues) bolts and clips are missing and, parts that were purchased are no where to be found.Desired Settlement: Compel Prestige Auto Body & Restoration to pay for the damages caused and have the vehicle repaired at another repair facility and, pick up the tab on a car rental while the vehicle is being repaired. Based upon my experiences over the past 23 days, I have no confidence in their ability to return my vehicle to factory standards in a reasonable period of time.
