In response to the message below from Prestige, I am confused how they have the AUDACITY to argue with me about how many bricks were knocked loose at MY HOUSE, when I live at the residenceFirst off, the dumpster DIDN’T slide into place because if it did, it wouldn’t have slid off the driveway and onto the grass now would it???? Just because I acknowledged to the driver that I understand that it was a LITTLE difficult to put the dumpster on the property does NOT give his drivers the right to damage the property and for *** to say it’s NOT his responsibility to fix itThe driver who knocked the bricks loose advised me that he contacted the company and that they would fix itYes I did tell the driver it could easily be put back in place, but by them since he caused the damageI mean are you people freaking kidding meMy driveway may not have been in perfect condition before, but the fact is is that his drivers when delivering and picking up the dumpster caused damage to my property and I am NOT ok with thatPer the attached message from my phone with *** at Prestige, I had TOLD her then, that it was about bricks that were knocked looseWhen the dumpster slid sideways, it was completely on the grass and all the bricks that are alongside the dumpster are looseThe cement that was holding it together is now all cracked apart and just because you only see bricks on the grass doesn’t mean that is all the damaged
In response to the claim that I filled the yard dumpster, what they “forgot” to mention is that I did not take it upon myself to go ahead and fill the yard dumpster, but was told by the driver who damaged my property that it was ok to fill the whole thingAs regards to ***s claim to rectify this situation, I called him and told him that if he doesn’t fix the damage done, that I would contact the BBAHe was not willing to fix the damageI NEVER settled with ***It’s going to cost more than $to fix the damage causedIt is absolutely disgusting how this company does business and for them to go around and think that because there were obstacles in the way at my house that made putting the dumpster onto the driveway a challenge and use that as EXCUSE as to why this happened is detestable

In response to [redacted]'s complaint, 20 bricks were NOT knocked out on the side of the driveway. Due to the low wires and the incline of the driveway, it was difficult to drop the dumpster.  As it slid into place, the back tire of the dumpster rolled into the side of the driveway kicking out...

about 5 bricks.  As per our driver, he said that [redacted] acknowledged the difficulty involved in setting the dumpster, the poor condition of her driveway and that the bricks could easily be put back. [redacted] contacted the office and the [redacted] requested pictures of the damage done. Attached are the pictures that [redacted] had sent to the [redacted]. As seen in the pictures, it is not 20 bricks kicked out but only 5. As regards to rectifying the damage, [redacted] did order a 10 yard container but we delivered a 20 yard due to a schedule change.  Our driver did explain that she has been given a 20 yard and to only fill it half way. [redacted] paid for only 10 yards the day of delivery. If she wanted to fill the dumpster, it was not a problem, it would just be an extra $200 on pick up. When the driver arrived to pick up the dumpster, it was full.  [redacted], stopped by the property to assess the damage and spoke with the husband. [redacted] told [redacted] he would contact [redacted] in which he did have a conversation with her explaining that the entire driveway was in poor condition and needed to be replaced. He told her to keep the difference of $200 of filling the dumpster for the damage to set 5 bricks back into place. She agreed to this offer and it was settled.

Review: On August **, 2014, I hired Prestige Carting, located at [redacted], to bring a 10 yard dumpster to my house. When the dumpster arrived, the driver told me they had no more 10 yarders left, so they brought a 20 yard instead. He then proceeded to place the dumpster onto my driveway and although my house is located on a slight hill and we have some cable lines that were making it a little bit difficult, he seemed to be doing a good job until the dumpster slipped onto my driveway and slipped sideways knocking about 20 bricks lining the driveway loose. The driver felt bad and told me not to worry about how much we fill the dumpster since we were given a larger one. I then called Prestige to inform them about the incident and she advised me the driver had already called and asked me to take pictures to send to her so she can send it to her boss. I did and advised her that about 20 bricks were knocked loose. She got back to me later that day and informed me that they were going to send a mason guy to my house Monday to fix it. I said ok, thats fine and was pleased that it was that easy. However, on Monday I called Prestige and asked them not to send the mason guy because I was now worried that when the dumpster would be removed, that there might be a possibility that damage could be caused again and I didnt want them to send someone out to my house again to fix something that was just fixed. On August **, 2014, we had scheduled to have the dumpster removed and when the guy showed up at my house, my mom was standing outside waiting and started videotaping it, just in case things didnt go smoothly, which it didnt. This guy ended up knocking more bricks loose in addition to scratching up the driveway and cracking part of it. He also pushed the dumpster so far back on my driveway that it almost got pushed into my garage and there is now a hole on my driveway where the dumpster stopped and two long scratches from the dumpster being pushed. There is also a large crack from the truck at the corner or my driveway. I called Prestige back, spoke to the same girl and advised what had now happened and she said she would tell her boss and that he would come out to my house. I never heard back from anyone at Prestige that day, so I called the next day only to find out that the [redacted] the company went to my house when I wasnt even there to look at the damage. When I called [redacted] to see how we would resolve this issue, he informed me he went to my house and that he wasnt going to fix the damage to my driveway because the whole thing needed to be repaired and that he didnt want to repair the bricks because those needed to be replaced and he doesnt do work like that. He also insisted only 5 bricks were knocked loose and when I told him he was mistaken that it was more like 20, he laughed at me and was very condescending in the way he was speaking to me and said he went to my house the day the damage happened and he saw the damage done. [redacted] was talking to me like I was some kind of it and was arguing with me about how many bricks got knocked loose, insisting it was only 4 or 5 to make me feel better. He was not at my house before the incident so I am confused how he has the audacity to make a remark like that and make me out to be some kind of liar. He also stated that it wasnt his responsibility to fix the damage caused by his drivers. I did not ask [redacted] to replace the bricks, I just wanted the loose bricks cemented back together again and I wanted the damage that was caused by HIS drivers to my driveway to be fixed or to compensate me for it. I was told by [redacted] that because we filled the dumpster more than we should, that there is a $200 difference and he told me not to worry about it due to the damage, however it will cost me more than $200 to fix the damage. I am very upset in the manner that he spoke to me, the fact that he kept laughing when I would speak and that he was not willing to repair the damage caused by his drivers, nor was he willing to negotiate. I told [redacted] that my house is going to be put on the market to be sold and that its not going to look good and that if someone parks their car on my driveway and steps on one of those bricks when stepping out of the car, that they can end up falling and getting hurt. He didnt seem to care and told me that since that is the case, I should just save my money. [redacted] does not have the authority to make that kind of decision regarding someone elses property when it was his drivers who caused the damage. I did not deny that my driveway was not in perfect condition before the incident, but the bricks lining my house were NOT loose. I am appalled that someone who has been in this business for several years would treat a customer in the fashion that he did and think that it is ok to damage someones property and not fix the damage they caused only because the property damaged was not in perfect condition before.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to repair, not replace all the bricks knocked loose by the two drivers which is more than 20 bricks now. I would also like the damage caused by his drivers to my driveway fix, however I realize the entire driveway will have to be repaired and his drivers only caused damage to one side of my driveway, so I will repair the driveway myself to be fair.
