[redacted]Feb 16 (5 days ago)to me Dear [redacted]In response to your email of a complaint filled[redacted] on 02/10/2017 Prestige Jewels Inc. return policy is that there is No Cash, Check or Credit Card Refunds issued upon a return or exchange of any item....

Prestige Jewels only offers a due bill for in store credit to be used at a later date with no expiration.  We have had this policy in place for thirty years.  We have a clear sign posted at the register upon check out and it is noted clearly on the bottom of the customers receipt.  In response to this specific incident, He came into our store looking at the watches.  He spoke with me personally.  He asked questions about several different watches, asked to see several models and asked if we had a Prospex Radio Sync Solar watch he could look at.  We do not have this item in stock, it is a specialty item that is ordered with a partial payment applied by the customer because it is not an item that we wish to carry for the reason that it is not likely to sell due to its high price.  I told him, we did not have those in stock, we do not carry them on hand, however he could order one.  He then abruptly left our store. He returned about ten minutes later.  He asked to see a catalog for the Prospex Radio Sync Solar.  I showed him the watch, in the catalog.  I explained in detail how it worked- running off of the radio signals and towers throughout the world.  He asked me for a price, I told him $895.00 + tax.  He said that was to expensive.  He was not looking to spend that kind of money.  He then asked about battery watches versus solar watches.  I told him that the solar, work off the energy from the sun and that a battery is not needed to maintain its function.  He then left the store for a second time.He returned again for a third time, ten minutes later, this time with his wife.  He asked to see the watch I had talked about that wouldn't require a battery.   I showed him once again the watch he was looking at the first time, that was solar.  He asked for the price, it was $450.00 He agreed to purchase the watch.  We spoke about the maintenance of the solar power and keeping it charged.  He showed his wife, they talked about it, she said he would take it and she paid for it with a credit card.  The following day he called the store, saying he did not want the watch.  I told him he could come in and exchange it.  He came in and said he wanted to exchange it for the Prospex Radio Sync Solar because we mislead him.  He wanted an even exchange for that watch.  I explained there was a $450.00 price difference, that he would have to pay the difference and we would have to special order that watch.   Then he got very angry and started yelling at me saying he was sold the wrong watch. He said he thought he was buying the Prospex Radio Sync Solar watch and he wanted a refund.  I explained that we do not offer refunds, we offer in store credit.  I said he could apply the credit towards the Prospex Radio Sync Solar.  He refused, he said he was keeping the watch he had already purchased and left.  I then tried calling him, I certainly do not want someone to be unhappy.  His wife answered and said did you give him his money back?  I explained our policy, she said [redacted] You! We aren't paying you, we are putting a stop on that credit card and hung up on me.  Here at Prestige Jewels Inc, we are very proud of the work that we do and the hundreds of happy patrons we have serviced over thirty years.  We would never out right mislead anyone.  This is just an angry individual who did not get his way and is trying to damage our reputation.
