Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:They did not give us good customer service nor was it pleasant like [redacted] is stating. They simple do not care about their customers. They didn't want to deal with us and avoided us. I called numerous times as I stated before to their work place from my land line [redacted] Every time we drove by thought out the day no one was there. They were avoiding us and that is not good customer service. The last time I talked to [redacted] on her personal phone I told her the problem with the car about the cylinder and that we could not afford to replace it so our mechanic found a used one which I paid $565 (receipt is attached). I spoke with [redacted] and told her what we had to do to get the car running, she said her husband would call me and discuss reimbursement. I never received a call from them they ignored us but were very quick to take my mothers money. How can that be good quality customer service? Then they close the business and go on vacation. We could not make contact with them until they got back. There was no false accusations about switching tires they know exactly what they did but will not admit it. That is their way of luring people in to make a purchase. My mother was the first customer. Before my mother bought the car she call me and said she found a Toyota Camry with new Michelin tires that is what caught her attention. I told her that's good we won't have to replace them for awhile. She bought the car and right away nothing but problems. The car has been at the mechanic shops more than we have had it. The last diagnostic check was that it needs a new engine but we can not afford that it will cost more than what my mom purchased the car for but I still had to pay $98 for diagnose test (receipt attached). If you read the previous statement right I stated my mom called the cops for ADVICE because she felt intimidated by the 3 men but she didn't tell the police who or where she simply wanted ADVICE on what to do. The vehicle was actual bought and signed for on the 28th but [redacted] had paper ready from the 27th. Attached are receipts and I have highlighted the description on the problems. Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The information *** *** *as stated and given is false. I have attached a written statement from my mother *** *** and I have also attached phone records showing we did try and did contact *** on her personal cell phone I also made numerous phone calls to the work place on my landline which no one ever answered the business phone. The last time I talked to *** on the phone she was suppose to have her husband call me regarding car issues we were having, they never returned my phone call. That is when we decided to take some action and move forward. That is very unprofessional, they are young and inexperienced. The car was rigged up running only on cylinder which is suppose to be a cylinder and now the motor. They knew exactly what they were selling and once my mother and I caught on we kept contacting them and driving by the business. No one was ever there the business was always closed. I told *** they were never there and she said we close at 5pm which is because my mother and I drove by unexpected numerous times throughout the days and the business was always closed. What kind of business are they running? They are very unprofessional I had to call *** on Friday April 20, to get paperwork I signed. Any professional business would have given signed paper work that same day. For all I know they tweaked and forge information I didn't sign. The pictures of car *** attached was right before we picked up the car with the shinny tires they detailed it for us that is after tires were switched. They think my mother doesn't know any better because she is an older woman but my mother and I have a lot of knowledge about vehicles and many other things. They never offered to refund my mother if so why didn't they do so they procrastinated, by going to Vegas and never being there and not returning our calls. They refunded *** her money because her car turned out to be junk too. No one was trying to scam *** and her family business for tires they knew exactly what they were doing and once we complained they close the business. Now they are nowhere to be found. Another thing I want to bring to your attention the purchase was made on March 28, on a Wednesday *** put March 27, on all paperwork I signed which is not correct. I'm not sure why she put that date. My mother was not trying to scam anyone out of tires she wanted what she paid for but that is how they lure people in making it look nice and flashy. The only reason she called the police was for advice because men where making her feel stupid and intimidated which at this time *** was inside with a customer so she has no idea what happened outside she never gave the name of business just simply asking for advice until they refused to give her a refund. We are honest and hardworking people. What they are doing to customers is not right.

Hello Sherri Brauer this is a response to complaint ID [redacted].On March 27, 2018 the complainant [redacted] and her Mother [redacted] came in to buy a Toyota Camry from us. They signed all paperwork and as they were leaving they ran into another customer outside, which is the woman they...

state on their claim, [redacted]  They spoke for a few minutes as [redacted] recognized her from the bakery she worked at.  They left and [redacted] came in. Not long after they came back,  my husband and brother were outside, [redacted] told them someone here at the car lot had switched the tires out on the vehicle she had just bought and that she wanted for us to put the new set of Michelin tires that it had back on. My husband told her the vehicle did not have Michelin tires she insisted it did. He told her if she was not happy with the vehicle we could refund her money back but she said no what she wanted were the new set of Michelin tires it had and if she didn't get them she would call the cops and left.  I was not present when this happened as I was still with [redacted] inside but my husband informed me of it.  The following morning I called [redacted] and asked her what was going on so I could hear what she had to say. She told me the same thing someone here at the car lot had switched the tires on the car she bought and that she wanted the Michelin tires she claims were on it back if not she would call the cops.  I informed her, as well, that the vehicle did not have Michelin tires, I also offered to refund their money back if they were not happy because I did not want any other problems to arise.  She declined, said they liked the vehicle and wanted to keep it for us to just give them the new set of Michelin tires and hung up. That afternoon I had a gentleman that bought a vehicle from us as well ask if we could get his license plates and registration sticker as soon as possible. So I went down to the registration and title office as soon as he left and decided to take the paperwork for the vehicle [redacted] and [redacted] had bought as well since they'd stated they wanted to keep the car.  On March 29, [redacted], again the same woman they are stating in their claim, came in to buy the vehicle she had looked at a couple of days before and informed me that [redacted] had gone to her job and told her that we had switched the tires out on the vehicle she bought and that we had also switched out the tires on the vehicle she, [redacted], was going to buy.  I told her it was untrue and if she wanted to take a look at the vehicle again before purchasing she was more than welcome to or if she was not comfortable purchasing it she did not have to.  She said, she still wanted to purchase the vehicle and only wanted to inform me of what [redacted] told her.  A couple of days later, March 31st, I spoke with [redacted] on the phone again and again asked if we were going to give her a new set of Michelin tires.  I told her we were not able to do that because the car she bought did not have the brand of tires she claims.  She said, ok I guess I'm going to have to call the cops to which I responded that was her choice and we hung up.  At this point I felt like they were trying to scam us out of a new set of Michelin tires as we were a new business and she was one of our very first customers and she knew that.  I felt like she thought that by threatening to call the cops she'd get what she wanted from us. The vehicle she bought did not have the Michelin tires she claims, I have photos that I took of the vehicle that we used to post online for sale once it was washed vacuumed and tires were shined, which I have attached.  I did not hear from them again until April 9th at around 7pm, I had just sat down to have dinner with my family so I did not answer the phone call but [redacted] left a message stating that the check engine light had turned on and to give her a call back. The following day, before I could return her call, she dropped by the office.  She stated that the check engine light had turned on and that we needed to take a look at why and fix it.  I did not feel comfortable with anyone at the car lot taking a look at the vehicle since she was already accusing us of switching out her tires who's to say should wouldn't accuse us of switching something else out on the vehicle if we did try and fix it.  We told her she should try taking it to an auto parts store since they have a computer they can put on the vehicle that tells you why the check engine light is on at no charge. She was upset and said she was going to call the cops because we didn't fix it and left.  Even though all paperwork customers sign state that the vehicle does not have any warranty and any maintenance or repairs that occurs after the sale are the buyers responsibility, in most cases if a customer is having a problem with their vehicle and asks us to take a look at it or fix it we always try to help them but in a case like this when someone is falsely accusing you or your business and threatening to call the cops every time something doesn't go their way it makes it very difficult to try and help them.  [redacted] called a few times after that once on April 19th she wanted some paperwork on the car which I went and dropped off at her house because by the time she gets out of work we are closed.  The last call I got from them was April 27th I missed the call so [redacted] left a message, she was upset that she signed an airbag disclosure form.  I had explained it to her and all other paperwork before she signed and she had no questions or concerns regarding it.  As far as [redacted]'s situation goes she did call us and said she was having an issue with her car and asked if we would be able to take a look at it for her which we gladly obliged as she had not falsely accused us or threaten us in any way.  We attempted to fix it and when we were unsuccessful we offered her money back to which she said yes so we refunded the money to her. The entire situation could have been dealt with fairly easy but like I said when someone is threatening and falsely accusing you of things it makes it difficult to try and help them. Also for our customers convenience all our signs and business cards that we give to our customers are mine and my husbands personal cellphone numbers so they can call us any time even on the days were are closed.  I have attached some of the paperwork signed as well as some photos of the vehicle you have to zoom into the tires but it shows the tires are not Michelin.  Also I have a voicemail from [redacted] that she left on April 9th stating only that the check engine turned on if needed I can provide just wasn't sure how to upload them to here. Thank You, [redacted]

Customer service is our priority. We strive to fulfill our customers’ needs by providing quality used vehicles at an affordable price. All our used vehicles are sold on as-is basis but we always try to help our customers have a pleasant experience during the buying process as well as after. We encourage the customer to thoroughly inspect the vehicle before purchasing, they can even bring their own mechanic if they wish to do so. The vehicle we sold to [redacted] and [redacted] was in good working condition. It was not running on 1 cylinder if it were the vehicle would not have turned on and if it had upon driving it, one would have immediately known something was wrong with it regardless of whether you do or do not know anything about vehicles.  They claim the vehicle broke down on March 31st and that they were unable to notify us until April 10th because the business was closed everyday between those dates.  Even though our office phone is not used often, as most of our business calls are made with our personal phones, I have attached our office call log that shows we made a few phone calls proving we were not closed on a few of the dates in question.  Also they state they called us numerous times during that time frame but their own call logs prove that to be incorrect. I received one phone call from [redacted] between those dates on April 9th.  When she came in on April 10th the only problem with the vehicle was that the check engine light was on. The only reason we did not look into that for her was because of the initial false claim regarding the tires being switched. We could not trust that they would not falsely accuse us of anything else, which is why we just advised them to take it to an auto parts store as we knew that they would be able to tell them why the check engine light was on at no charge. Their statements are inconsistent and contradicting.  [redacted] writes on her first statement that we offered her mother a refund, then goes on to write that we did not offer her mother a refund on the second statement.  [redacted] then goes on to say on her own statement that we did offer her a refund.  A full refund was initially offered to [redacted] the same day they purchased the vehicle as well as the following day.  The only reason she did not receive it was because she declined both times and was only interested in a new set of Michelin tires.   Also [redacted] states that she did not say she was going to call the cops when she spoke to my husband and brother but [redacted] states her mother did call the cops because she felt intimidated by them.  I have attached the title form for the vehicle they bought the highlighted area was filled out, signed and dated by [redacted]. The vehicle was bought on March 27th.We are sorry that we could not come to a mutual and reasonable understanding. Sometimes in business and in life there are situations where no matter what you do people will not be satisfied. This will be our final response, as reasonable effort has been made to remedy the situation.  Moving forward, this has been a learning opportunity that we as a business will grow from.
