Presti's Auction Sales

In may of this year .I hired Mr.Presti to pick up and sell my belongings at his auction .Items such as tractors ,mowers,a complete wood shop ,chain saws ,blowers,generarators Etc.He sold almost everything within days.he managed to send me 5000.00 on what he sold he still owes thousands .He has not stayed in touch with me .I have hired a law firm and am in the middle of filing suit.This man is a thief and has no conscience .I have a signed contract by him .This means breech of contract .along with theft .This is now almost October .

Two weeks ago I had my local police department contact Presti. Presti's answer was that the entire consignment has not yet been disposed of but when it is, the matter will be resolved.

Review: On October **, 2013 Presti's took 8 gold rings with stones and a cameo with stones on consignment; I have a contract/receipt with a lot#. I never heard back from them. After a a month or two I tried contacting Presti's Auction several times and was told they would get back to me. Finally in January 2014 spoke with someone who indicated my items were sold and that I would receive a check. The check never came. Now called again at the end of the month and they said they need to get back to me. I have been more than patient, this really constitutes theft. I fear that now if I do receive money there will not be any way to verify if it is the correct amount.Desired Settlement: I want the money owed me and written receipt specifying the lot# that was sold and for what amount.

Review: Contracted Presti's to do a clean out prior to a house sale. They agreed to take and auction what they removed from home. We paid them the agreed $1800- for removal and in turn they were to auction everything removed from home and we would receive 75% back on our items. (i.e. furniture, tvs knick knacks, pot pans kitchen items etc) I contacted them 5 months after clean out to see if there was anything on the account since they didn't automatically send check as they said they would. They stated a few hundred on account but were still auctioning our belongings and would send check soon. I left a message on voice mail for [redacted] several times with no return call. After 11 months I called [redacted] and he said he would send check. No check rec'd I emailed him 3 more times again no check rec'd. Spoke with [redacted] end of July 2014 who said [redacted] didn't work there anymore and he apologized he would get a check to me asap. As of today 9-*-14 still no check and I'm unable to contact anyone at the phone # listed. I think I have been scammed. There is no way they only auctioned a few hundred dollars. The home they cleaned out was a mother/daughter home with 2 dining rm sets 2 living sets 2 curio cabinets etc they packed a 26 foot truck with items from the home and only sold a few hundred??!!Desired Settlement: I am hoping to received the funds that are due us as we paid them for their services. Most importantly let the public be aware of this dishonest company.

Review: On 8/**/2015 I contracted with this company to clean out the contents of my house preparatory to selling it. The contents were to be sold at Presti's Auction Sales and I was to receive the proceeds less a small commission. the contents included many valuable items such as artwork, a harpsichord, etc.Presti's cleaned out the house and I requested, after a reasonable time, an accounting of the sales.

Eventually I was sent one, showing sales of pennies on the dollar. I received no payment. After several months I again requested an accounting and a check for the outstanding balance. I have received no reply on this matter.

Please look into this and get me the accounting and the check.Desired Settlement: Accounting of sales and payment for items sold as well as accounting of any future sales and payments.

Review: We contacted them to clean out my late mother's home in [redacted]. They change you $1800.00 to pack up and take everything from the house. They than auction the goods off and receive a 20% commission.

This all took place on 10/*/2014. As of today we receive NO money or return calls. I THINK I WAS TAKEN!

Review: This company goes by so many different names, I now found out: PRESTI'S AUCTION SALES, PRESTI'S NY-NJ ESTATE & AUCTION SERVICES, Auction,Zip Auctioneer ID # [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] IS THE [redacted].A few days after my husband passed away at our business location in NJ On June 2014, I contacted the [redacted] to help me sell what can be sold from the buildings on our premises. [redacted] and a lady came to our location and after looking around, [redacted] told me that he will arrange to have the items that, he feels, he can sell, picked up. He said he will use one 26 ft truck and the transport fee of $1800 per truck plus a 25% commission taken off from the total proceeds of the sale. I told him at that time that the transport fee seemed awfully expensive. He said that he will give me a break on the cost. At the time, still distraught from my husband's death, I willingly signed the Consignment Agreement.It's been 2 months now, and I still have not received any proceeds from the sale.I have repeatedly called, emailed and texted [redacted] to get updates on the sale. But he has been very evasive and certainly dragging his feet to give me the proceeds of the sale.I still have not heard from him about the LATEST actual amount of the proceeds - the last email I received from him, he said that there is nothing left to sell and he promised to email me a report of the total sale the very next day. Never received that final report. I have been asking him to let me know what I expect to receive from the sale of 2 1/2 trucks worth of items he picked up and to date, he has not returned my email, texts or phone calls.As a widow on limited financial resources, I relied on the proceeds from the sale to help pay for my husbands funeral cost.I would appreciate it if someone could help me get what is due to me from this company. It has been very upsetting that they would take advantage of someone who had just lost a loved one.Desired Settlement: Yes, I would like for the company/companies listed above and its [redacted], [redacted] to pay me for the proceeds of the sale of our properties. and also to warn potential clients not to trust this company because they do not honor what they said they would do.
