Pretty Girls Make Faces

Review: We hired Pretty Girls Make Faces for bridal party makeup and hair. They came in on time and started on everyone's hair and makeup. From the get go, everyone in the party felt that the owner and her husband were very concerned about collecting money thinking we would not pay them. Everyone did pay $70 per service. One of the clients paid $140 for makeup and hair. When her turn came for hair, she was called away to help the bride. She told the hair dresser who was working on her hair that she will be back to finish up. The lady agreed. Once we were done with the bride, we noticed that the hair lady cleaned up and was gone. We asked if anyone knew where they were but no one in the room had noticed them leaving or heard them say they were leaving. Since I had recommended the business to begin with, I emailed the owners and let them know of the incident. At this point all I wanted was them to acknowledge that this was not the right thing to do. I received phone call from the owner's husband who clearly was not interested in listening to my side and pretty much told me that he believes his hairstylist regarding what happened. Then continued to tell me that I don't know how to hold a conversation. Then he proceeded to tell me that we did not pay him fully for their services and both services were in fact $145 not $140 and to go look at the contract. I informed him that I did not make the contract but we have multiple emails with him stating the price is $70 per service. I asked why he did not bring up the fact we were not paying him full amount when he was there and he said he did not want to make a fuss. Then I asked him why is he bring it up now and he said because I am complaining. I did not wish to be yelled at any longer so I asked to speak to his wife whom he refused to put on the phone. I then hung up the phone and sent an email stating that I do not want him to call me again. I have since checked the contract and it states $70 for makeup. Emails from him state $70 for hair.Desired Settlement: I honestly did not want anything but an apology. I still just want them to realize that the way that they went about handling the situation is not right. At this point, I just want them to refund $70 the price that the client paid to get her hair done and it was not completed. I expect they will neither apologies or refund our money.
