[redacted] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The project was not completed by the date on the projected date, a reasonable date, & not at all What was done was not stable Had to complete the job and pay for remaining pieces We were charged for items never used.Some of the statements given by [redacted] are not true The fence was moved before we went away I was home the day it was done and no machinery or machine operator was here The materials used were what was here from the existing fence While we were away [redacted] was in contact with my husband and said he would have the few pieces needed and it would be completed by the ***e we got home Sadly, it wasn't We continued to be patient and forgiving, but our patience ran out [redacted] was apologetic until he texted us the evening he promised, yet again, that it would be completed It started, "You guys can hate me as much as you want...." The following week my husband texted him that our deadline for him to be finished with the project was April He never responded The evening of April we had to leave and I sent him a reminder through the Neighbors app stating that I trusted he would be there and it would be completed Yet again, he didn't respond or show up When he stopped responding was when I filed the complaint,someone else completed the job They ordered the parts needed (they were in in days), stabilized everything, leveled ground, concreted posts and spread grass seed This is my final correspondence I will not change my mind A check in the amount of $1,is to be made out to [redacted] I exchanged with [redacted] today that I would like it by June 2, I will extend this until June 15, 2017, but no later He would never have gotten the full amount to begin with, but we thought the project would've been done while we were away & wanted him to be paid upon completion So much for good faithThis has been going on for months! I am writing this letter in response to the complaint assigned number [redacted] which was filed against my project at [redacted] My point of contact through the project was [redacted] He and his wife found me on an online app titled Neighbors. He contacted me...

because the back side of his fence was encroaching on the neighbor's property. The new neighbors were moving into their house within two weeks and had to have the fence relocated before they moved in.The white vinyl fence was originally installed by someone else 2 feet over the property line in the rear and three feet from the property line on the left. I gave [redacted] the option to only move the rear side offence forward two feet or to move that side forward two feet and the left side over three feet to meet their property lines on all sides. The homeowner choose the later option.The homeowners were out of town during the time of Construction. The fence was taken down on the rear and left side using a bobcat to pull the wooden posts out of the ground and they were hauled away. New posts were secured in the ground with concrete, so a machine operator, bobcat, loader truck, 9 4x4 posts, and concrete were used.When the fence was being re-installed, an extra panel of fencing and lattice was needed, which was not charged in the estimate. When these arrived from [redacted], the top railing was a 2x6 rather than a 2x4 and [redacted] said they no longer made the needed piece although it was showing as available on their website. This mis-sized piece of railing holds the lattice to the fence and is shown missing in the enclosed pictures.At this point, the homeowners arrived back from vacation and [redacted] was very happy with the work Completed. We discussed the issue with the missing piece and that it was no longer available from any distributors and [redacted] gave me permission to shave the missized piece, after checking with his wife, [redacted]. That night, [redacted] left a negative review of my work on the App and commented negatively on future inquiries customers left forAfter shaving the piece, I intended to finish the work at the home but had a family emergency related to my father being hospitalized. [redacted] was made aware and was very empathetic.The fence was moved and is up and stable. Shortly before receiving this letter from your company, [redacted] posted to the app saying I needed to have the fence completed that day. reached out to her and her husband about completion and heard no response. Then, received your notification of complaint. I am aware this project's completion has taken a lot longer than expected, but I have been responsive, apologetic, and professional through the process.I have all the materials needed to complete this project. I have the missing piece of fence and estimated topsoil and seed, which was intended to be laid at the completion of this project. The connecting piece of lattice is at the property. also intended to restabilize five of the posts with Concrete. I do not believe the Costumer's request of a $1,150 refund is appropriate. Please let me know the next steps in this process so I can close this project.
