Our contract to this customer was to construct a 36’ x 74’ attached residential garage and carportThe concrete aspect of this project consisted of forming and pouring concrete slab over foam insulation, installing vapor barrier, in-floor tubing for future heat with floor drain openingsThe
building portion was constructed with wood framed walls, wood trusses, windows and doors, siding and a metal roof including re-roofing the existing structure to match the new portionResidential floor drain openings are allowed to assist the home owner with channeling water outside of the building that occurs when a vehicle is parked inside a garage that has been driven in the rain or has been parked inside with a reasonable amount of snow from seasonal weather which will melt indoorsThis building was constructed for residential use and it’s primary purpose is to keep water outside and protect the contents of the structure from the elementsWhen asked by the home owner if a larger area around the drains could be ground, we consulted with our concrete supplier and were told that concrete grinding could be doneWith that, we hired a professional concrete grinding company to accomplish the requested workThis work has been completed by the sub contractorSteps to accommodate the home owner’s request have been takenThis building was constructed for residential use and not for commercial useCommercial use of water inside a building such as this would require a drainage collection and containment system that was never part of the original designIn addition, had this been intended for commercial use, the lower portions of the walls would have been concrete or masonry to protect from water damage and to prevent the wood structure from rotting over timeThe use of water inside this structure will compromise the warranty that currently existsThis concrete slab has no structural defects of any kind and, in our opinion, it would be unwarranted to remove this slab and replace itPhotos of this slab have been taken throughout the building process and are available upon requestSincerely, Edward A *** Price Construction Company, LLC

Also attached is a letter from Greg Pripps who looked at entire building project for us. As you can see I have not manufactured my complaints. There is a lot more problems than I thought with this project that was done by Ed [redacted] of Price Construction Company, LLC.  I have been told by three different contractors that I need to have a building inspector come and see the project. The contractors all have said there are building and code violations with this project.  We have hired a building inspector to come and look at said project. The building inspector will be there the week of February 5th to inspect project. After that I will get estimate to fix all problems with project and send it to Revdex.com. We also attached photos of some of the problems with project. Also I have video upon request of how water does not go down drains.                          John and Barb [redacted]
