minimum tow charge rate which has been approved by the State of California When we ran his credit card later at the office, his credit card was DECLINED Since this was a rental car, the rental car company paid the charge Because of these facts, we will not issue a refund. I am rejecting this response because: This was a trap No one was more than a tires-width over the line and it was necessary because of the snow conditions of the roadThe parking lot was closed and all of us parked safely on the sideIn fact, as a passing motorist looking for a nice place to see Lake Tahoe and take some pictures, I slowed at the obvious site of cars near the roadThis was not a hazard, since it was obviousIt is telling that, several weeks later, when I mentioned my ticket to a man on a totally unrelated issue, who happened to mention that he was from South Lake Tahoe, he said that Emerald Bay (where I stopped) was notorious in the community for being a ticket trap for touristsThis practice is reprehensibleAlso, they refused to take credit cards and only take cash ($240!!)The only option is that they will tow your car into South Lake Tahoe (you have to; it is on the back of the flatbed), but they then raise the price to $375!!They do not have a credit card machine (!?the hotdog vendor on the street corner has a c.cmachine) The only reason I got my car down is that I told them I would report it as stolen and that it was not my car anywayHe let me use my credit card, using an antiquated paper method, whose charge I immediately disputedThe cash flow is suspicious, since the State policeman was there directing the car removalThis was possibly a sbetween the police and the towing companyI am correct about my complaint and I reiterate that this practice by California Colors is unethical and, possibly, illegalPlease continue an investigation

Business states that they have been in contact with the Bureau of Automotive Repair(BAR) regarding the matterBAR has informed business that consumer will be bringing the car back in for completion of the pending refinish work with the condition that consumer sign a letter holding the business harmlessIn addition, any further derogatory remarks regarding the business would be withheld by the consumerBusiness would like to state that they apologize for any inconvenience and would like to resolve the matter to the satisfaction of both partiesIt is the businesses' understanding that the consumer will bring the vehicle back in on Feb 1st so the resolution may be finalized

I am rejecting this response because: the work was never completed. after 4 1/2 months they stopped working on my car. they say I never signed the documents, however the documents were in fact signed when I dropped off the car. thats how they were authorized to get paid, which they were paid!  my car was never finished! it still has hail dents and has no primer! at this point my car has been destroyed! please help!

rejecting this response because:  This resolves nothing! I still have no estimated time for my car to be finished! They have been paid...twice by my insurance company...Im reaching out for a resolution...NOT A PHONE CALL! Its time to deliver my car back to me! I want a date of finality...Ive lost enough money talking. All I get is lies from this company! I was told to bring the car in and it would be done in 2 weeks!...Then it was Nov 15th...Now after days and loss of income due to false accusations....still no car! NEED I GO FURTHER WITH THIS!
