Price Transport, Inc. Reviews (4)

Ms***'s stance about our negligence is false. We are not going to pay for something that was a natural hazard from road debris. Anyone involved in Construction or Transportation knows this information. We do not want to be badgered about this. Our decision was made final when our insurance company denied the claim. We don't tell our insurance company how to do their job, that is why we pay for their services. If our truck would have been loaded, that would be a completely different situation and we would've reimbursed her already. *** ***Safety Compliance & Human Resources ManagerAdministrative AssistantPRICE Transport, Inc.Ofc (262) 255-7855Fax (262) [email protected]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I am rejecting the claim. In response to the
manager
questioning why I did not contact the company sooner is due to the fact
my vehicle was struck at the bottom of the windshieldAny professional or
persons doing mere research would know that when a crack is in a windshield it
will begin to spread with heatTherefore the crack was not noticed until it
began to spread, which is the reason for the delayed responseIf there had not
been any damage I would not have contacted the company, I do not condone
falsification at any matter.I am also rejecting due to the fact the insurance agent
rejected the claim before he spoke with the driverI called him and was
informed that he had not talked to the driverIf this is the case, how can a
judgement have been made? Being accurate and honest is part of professionalism,
and that has not been displayed with either company and unfortunately I have to
pay for damages out of my controlI am a well-respected person in my profession and community
and am appalled on how this company is handling thisOf course the driver
would not have seen the rock hit my vehicle because it was from the backI am
sure the vision of this company does not reflect the actions that I have
witnessed and companies of this sort should be exposedCitizens need to be aware
of what can possibly happen if their vehicle/property is damaged by this
company, and this companyThis type of conduct is unacceptable and I am sure
if Price Transport has a vision or mission these actions are not adhering to
it.Thank you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My stance on negligence from Price Transport is correct. Unfortunately, when dealing with persons who act unprofessionally there is never a solution to the problem. Incompetence in ones field of work is liable to not be able to render a solution, therefore others are the victim.
I stand on negligence from this company because an investigation was never done, and I do not agree with the outcome. Regards,
[redacted]

On 04/27/15 at 8:51 a.m., I received a phone call from Ms. [redacted] stating a stone came off of one of our Quad Axle dump trucks on Friday 04/24/15.  I questioned Ms. [redacted] as to why she was first contacting us on Monday versus when the incident occurred on Friday 04/24/15.  Ms. [redacted] stated she left a message on Friday but didn't receive a phone call back which is why she was calling again on Monday morning.  I am the manager of Safety Compliance as well as involved in the daily operations of the trucks and the switchboard.  General messages come to my phone whether during or after hours.  In order to verify Ms. [redacted]'s previously left message, I found it was on another phone,  This particular phone can only receive messages by dialing the extension directly or going into the company directory and selecting her name.  This happens to be one of the owners.  As such, I don't access her voicemail.  She didn't come into the office until Mondayafternoon which is when I learned of the location of Ms. [redacted]'s previously left voicemail.  I am in the office, at minimum, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondaythrough Friday.  Ms. [redacted] left her voicemail message on Friday 04/24/15 at 7:06 p.m.  She stated the stone hit her windshield at approximately 4/4:30 p.m. on Friday 04/24/15.  Contact to our company should've been immediate.  Ms. [redacted] had time to take a picture of our truck while driving but failed to contact our office in a timely manner.  After hearing Ms. [redacted]'s explanation of what occurred, I wrote down her name and cell phone number and explained that I would contact her back momentarily.  We have in place as company policy, steps to be taken in the event someone calls in with windshield damage.  I contacted the driver to find out if he remembered seeing a stone fly up and hit a windshield of a motor vehicle around him.  He had not seen this.  Our driver in no way, shape or form denied this, he simply did not see it.  I referenced the time stamps from his load tickets forFriday to find out if the truck was loaded or empty.  If Ms. [redacted] was correct in her time stamp of approximated 4/4:30pm and location of Hwy 45 northbound at Silver Spring Dr., then the driver was empty, already had fueled off of Hwy 45 and Hampton Ave. and was on his way to our shop in Germantown to park for the evening.  Stones or debris kicked up from the roadway is a hazard of driving.  We aren't responsible for road debris.  This is no different than a non commercial motor vehicle with deeper treaded tires kicking up road debris.  The only difference is our name is on the side of the door.  There is a safe following distance advised during Drivers Education.  The advised safe following distance behind a commercial motor vehicle should be extended to a minimum of 500 feet.  There wasn't any dishonesty or unprofessionalism extended to Ms. [redacted] by Price Transport.  As per company policy, these incidents are given to our insurance company who take the incident completely out of our hands following receipt of information I have gathered and then give to the insurance company.  I did due diligence in calling Ms. [redacted] back providing her with the adjustor's name, phone number and claim number.[redacted]Safety Compliance & Human Resources ManagerAdministrative AssistantPRICE Transport, Inc.Ofc (262) 255-7855Fax (262) [email protected]
