Review: We went to Dr. Socarras (Arzije Coma and Medi Coma) as a recommendation through a friend; the friend knows that we live off of social security and do not have much money; and said that this doctor would work with us to finish Arzije's teeth. We made an appointment and went to Dr. Socarras office where we discussed what we wanted done to Arzije's teeth. To pull them out and to have implants put in that will not move. Dr. Socarras said that this would not be a problem, and he would be able to do this. He would start with the top six implants and then do the bottom. The whole process of the implants top and bottom would take a frame time of six months to finish. Then we talked about money and what would be owed for this work. Dr. Socarras, Arzije, and I agreed on a price of six thousand dollars for the work and implants, and that the insurance would take care of the price of the teeth. When we discussed how and what would happen, and the process we were never told that she would be put to sleep when the implants would be put in. This worried us because Arzije is diabetic and does not feel well when put to sleep. But we agreed to do this because at the time we trusted this doctor. So the day came and we started with the removal of the teeth and once that was finished the inserting of the implants. Each time the implants were put in she was put to sleep and did not feel good for a few days after, she would be in so much pain she could not eat, sleep, and barely drink. Then when it came time to put other implants in we would go to our appointment and he said that she has not heeled and that he had to wait to put the implants, this happened with every implant over and over again. In the meantime though the doctor was getting paid, and got paid in full. He was paid in advance the full amount of six thousand; but little did we know that through out the process he would ask us for more money making the total eight thousand dollars. On March 20 we paid the last amount that was owed, which was two thousand dollars. It came time for us to go overseas and still the implants were not finished (even though during the agreement it was said that they would be done); so he made us temporary dentures. The dentures did not fit her mouth, she could not even close her mouth let alone eat and talk with the dentures. While we were overseas Arzije's dentures were giving her a lot of pain and she could not keep them in her mouth. So we went to the dentist overseas and had another pair made there that would be more comfortable and would not hurt. When we came back to America we went to him on Friday October 2nd to hopefully finally finish with these implants that have caused us so much stress and pain this last year. We showed the doctor the dentures from overseas and said that we had these made because the other ones were just to uncomfortable. We showed him the dentures he made us and he said that she had eaten the metal on the inside of the dentures and that it was dangerous and could cause cancer. This terrified us all, especially since I myself had cancer. We wondered why he would put metal that was dangerous in our dentures and how this was even legal, and also how it was possible for her to eat the metal. So we knew for sure that we did not want to use these dentures and that we wanted to use the dentures we had made overseas instead and if he can put the metal rods that go in them to hold the dentures in place(not the dangerous metal), which the doctor agreed to. He also told us that he would put caps on the implants to make them stronger, we agreed to this and he said that this can not be done today because he needs to call the technician to have them glued together. So we waited and waited again and then decided to call him and see what was going on. He would not answer or return our calls. At this point we were completely fed up, all we wanted was to finally have this all behind us and have the teeth finished so that she can finally eat, and drink with out being in pain. On November 5th we went back to him to see what was going on and to tell him we were fed up, and he told us hes getting a lawyer and we can do what ever we want to. This man was paid in full and did not do the job he agreed to do. Instead he took advantage of us left her in pain and took our money. At this point all we want is to have our money back so that we can try to fix this problem somewhere else.

We went Saturday November 7 to another dentist to see what we can do and try and finish these implants. We were told by the dentist that these implants are no longer being made. The new dentist told us that there is no way to repair or fix this job, the material does not exist, and that the implants are completely useless. So know we are down eight thousand dollars, still in pain, with no way of fixing this.Desired Settlement: finish the job or refund me the money!
