I am rejecting this response because: The first person I spoke to at the company acknowledged that I had a legitimate concern and was entitled to some good will compensation, in the form of a 50% reduction in the penalty. When I spoke to the second person, he said I was entitled to nothing. Not only is this a harsh and flagrant act of aggression towards a well-meaning and serious customer (who openly acknowledged and continues to acknowledge making a mistake), it also amounts to breach of contract on the company's part. She and I had an oral agreement, which he violated.

I am rejecting this response because: I made numerous attempts to contact Priceline as advised in a phone message I received. The person did not leave a direct number to reach them. They also did not identify themselves. As I have in the past I spent hours on the phone on hold transferred several times. I was also disconnected and  told to call [redacted]
The company continues to conduct business dishonestly. Just to recap I was told to get trip insurance so I had nothing to lose if I cancelled trip. To this day their employees continue to promote that "nothing to lose"  sales pitch to try to sell insurance.
Who will reimburse me ? Not only for the flight and fraudulent trip insurance but the approx. 100 hours & dollars of lost time at work over the last year trying to recoup these charges.

I am rejecting this response because:
Attached are the screenshots that I have captured regarding my agreement with Priceline.com.
A few things to highlight --
1. The description of 'incidentals' is in the first screenshot.  It's what I would consider as 'buried' in the list with things like parking which I would obviously pay separately for, or potentially decline by parking elsewhere and walking to the hotel, whereas the resort fee was charged to me immediately upon arrival. That's not an 'incidental' charge like stealing towels or drinking the $4 bottle of water.
2. Please compare the 2nd screenshot (from my phone) against the screenshot my wife captured just a few minutes ago when doing a similar search. Notice how in hers, the 'resort fee' is a separate line item and specifically charged by priceline.com. Notice that mine says 'PAID IN FULL" which, to me, implies that I'm all set and no additional charges will come. It also says I saved 48%, which is false when you include the $20 resort fee (30% of my actual assumed price). In my wife's screenshot, it's quite ironic that hers states explicitly 'NO SURPRISES', yet when I booked through the same process I was quite surprised!
3. In another of my screenshots, it shows a nice little breakdown of 'taxes and fees' which again excludes the resort fee. The remaining screenshot says the 'ROOM TOTAL' which is what I really expected to spend on a room. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.
Long story short, your business needs to clarify how it wants to handle this type of charge. If I'm going to be charged an additional $20 at check-in, either Priceline should collect it up from (just like you planned to do in my wife's screenshot) or make it known that the hotel you plan to put me into will charge it, or offer me one that will not have that type of fee.
I came to Priceline looking for a great deal. I'm totally dissatisfied because I feel deceived and paid too much for a mediocre hotel experience.

driver provides a debit card for the security deposit, proof of round trip
airline travel may be required and any funds used for the deposit cannot be

I am rejecting this response because they have not offered to refund the difference in the price of the room. Priceline.com ripped me off!
The bottom line is this, on Wednesday the 23rd of November 2016, I paid in full for a 2 night stay at the [redacted] in [redacted] at a rate of $115 per night. On Friday November 25th, Priceline.com listed the exact same hotel rooms for only $89 per night. I called that night to request a price-match to which they not only refused, but insultingly offered to cancel the reservation for a penalty of the entire purchase price.
Priceline.com has pathetic customer service and are alarmingly deceptive, unapologetic, and have made no effort to resolve this issue in good faith.

concern in our Executive Offices regarding your reservation at the Econo Lodge
Inn & Suites Beach Front Central for Trip Number [redacted].  In your correspondence you state that you were
unable to use the reservation as the road leading to the property, Ocean
Boulevard was closed and you then chose to drive home.
 
“ I drove to [redacted] to [redacted] the road where my
hotel was located to find police in tactical type clothing diverting traffic
off of [redacted] to a side street, I asked the officer if I could go to my
hotel and he said they had an incident and could not allow any one down the
road and he did not know when or if I would be able to get back to the hotel. I
came back 3 hours later and found it was still barricaded. I then made my 4
hour drive home.”

was a road closure in one direction only (Northbound on [redacted]). James
Redling, General Manager of the hotel further advised that all  hotel guests
were able to travel on
Southbound lanes on [redacted] and arrive
at the hotel as booked.
