above-mentioned consumer and...

appreciate the opportunity to respond.
The
consumer selected a non-refundable reservation and requests a refund. The consumer
states:
 “I booked a hotel and car rental for
8/9/14-8/16/14 for a vacation to LA. I recently took a promotion at work that
will make it to where I can't go on our vacation for the original planned time.”
Priceline offers a variety travel service options, including
reservations that permit cancelations.
When selecting a reservation, and prior to purchase, the
consumer is provided with the cancel policy associated with each reservation.
In this case, the consumer selected a reservation that
provided greater savings and less flexibility.
Attached hereto is a copy of the consumer’s initialed contract page
authorizing the non-refundable, non-changeable terms and conditions of the
purchase.

I am rejecting this response because:
This is a reply too the answer from priceline. Case number [redacted].
I was booking a hotel and a rental car from priceline. I booked May 7
2015 to May 9, 2015 for the hotal and May 6, 2015 to May10, 2015 for the rental car.  When I was finish booking the reservation thru priceline I saw that they booked me for [redacted].  I never asked to be booked to VT.  I was booking for [redacted].  I also did not see they had the wrong date too. So there was clearly a problem with the booking because I was not booking for VT. And definitely not in April, for I was picking my daughter up from college in [redacted].  I did not see that not only did they book the wrong state but the wrong date too. I called Price line right away to let them know about their misake.  I told them that I was not going to **.  I did not notice that they had the wrong date too.  Priceline refunded the hotel.  I called Priceline to see when I would be getting the refund back on my credit card so I can re book.  I looked at the rental car reservation and saw that the dates on both reservation were wrong also. I let them know this was not the date I put in.  They told me that I would have to pay for the rental.  I told them I don't know how this happen it must be a computer glitch just like the booking me to **. Priceline said that I would still have to pay for the rental and I should pick up the car Arpil 6. I don't understand why they would not honer the reservation and just change the date for me.  I was not trying not to use them I just needed the right dates in for the reservation'  There is no way I put in the wrong dates it had to be a problem with the computer or something for I know when I was suppose to pick up my daughter.  I asked Priceline to corret the dates. They told me they could'not. That I would have to pay for this computer mistake. I feel this is very unfair.  How do you charge someone for a service that they never use. I also had to book hotal and rental car thru another company.  So they think that it is fare to have the consumer pay twice for the same trip. And I really don't understand  why they  refused to refunded rental put they did refund the hotel.  And I let them know about this probem right away.  And I do not recall putting my initials on anything.  Thank you for looking in to this matter for me.

I am rejecting this response because: I never initialed a contract!  This reservation was made over the phone.   I was told on the phone about the fee, but I thought it was a one time fee for both rooms the way it was explained to me.  The person I spoke with did not go into detail about this fee.  I never got a confirming email right away, and had to call to get one.  The confirming email does not detail this fee, it did not come up until I saw complaints about it on [redacted] web site. All I'm asking for is a different Hotel without fees!!

Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices. We understand that you
are asking to cancel the reservation for a full refund because you received a
hotel brand that was listed as a one-star hotel example.
 
The hotel chain examples listed on our site are provided
to illustrate what you might expect when choosing a certain Star Level from
Priceline.com. We do indicate that the brands shown are only examples and may
not be part of the priceline program. Also, every hotel is different and not
all hotels within a certain chain will have the same star level rating. We are
very careful to rate each hotel on its own merits and quality and not just on

I am rejecting this response because:
 
Priceline.com didn't provide the service I requested: change the date of my travel.
They instead sold me another ticket, liquidated my existing ticket, and charged me fines for the ticket exchange and their services (These charges I was aware of, and these were the only charges I was aware of, not the whole cost of a new ticket.)
Essentially, I could have kept my original ticket and used it later, since I travel between [redacted]. and [redacted], [redacted] frequently on business, and bought myself another 2 way ticket for the earlier date, and cheaper, should I have gotten adequate explanation about what proceline.com was doing instead of just changing the travel date, as they were asked to do.
 
A nice touch also is thanking me for my time: trying to sort this out, I spent more than 6 hours on the phone waiting and talking to agents at priceline.com, repeating over and over again my questions to different people I was being transferred to who were unaware of who and why transferred me to them.

It stated that the hotel has a Resort Fee of $25 per room
per night.
Also, a credit card is required upon check-in. The credit
card is required for the mandatory fee or Resort Fee as well as any additional
hotel incidental charges such as parking, phone calls or minibar charges which
are not included in the room rate. We are sorry; however, we are unable to
process a refund of the hotel fees.

requesting a refund for the July 17, 2014 reservation due to a death in the
family. On behalf of the consumer, Priceline contacted [redacted], the General Manger of the [redacted] concerning the consumer’s refund request, and
