The issue was that MrRoof cut the trim back too far and left a bad jagged uneven edge which was very noticeable on the garage and the houseMrRoof did come out and repair it after the complaint was issued not before the complaintWe made the complaint because we were told they were not going to fix the trimWe the owners had to pay for the material (trim) MrRoof did not pay for itThe trim was repaired at our expenseThe worker was very pleasant and understood the complaint he agreed it should not have been left like thatThe Salesman gave us a price that was to be paid by check or chargeThe down payment was received on the credit card with no extra chargeWe were never told there was an extra charge to pay the balance on the credit cardIf we would have been told we would have paid the balance by checkWe are satisfied with the repair of the trim - unfortunately we had to incur the cost for the material to have it fixedThank you for the quick response

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

As previous stated, MrRoof can only warrant roofing areas that we installedAdditionally, no shingle roofing system installed by anyone can prevent water infiltration from ice dams

Again, We apologize if Ms [redacted] believes that she was treated in any manner other than a professional one, however the staff at MrRoof has done everything we can to help her in a frustrating situation not caused by us, and instead educate her on the maintenance that needs to be kept up with on her home and help her in making educated decisions that will work best for her home, her budget and her peace of mind

I have indeed arranged an third party inspection to determine or eliminate potential causes for the water damage sustained over the one year period of time, in which MrRoof failed to diagnose the cause of the mounting water damage to my ceiling, nor did they follow through with the promise and contractual obligation to replace unnecessarily destroyed interior molding and condensation gutters While MrRoof was not contracted to do interior work, MrRoofs contract states they are responsible for interior damage done during the roofing process This damage could have been easily avoided by Mr.Roof and it was a conscious choice at the moment of skylight extraction to destroy molding and condensation gutters despite my timely objections, quelled by their assurance they would replace it.The results of the inspections and the repair work that will follow, will not change MrRoofs responsibility for the replacement of destroyed interior appointments and the cost of repairing cumulative water damage, due to MrRoofs month delay in communicating, they determined condensation is the reason for the damageMy personal decision to double check MrRoofs condensation diagnosis, results from my desire lessen the possibility of damage reoccuring This is the reasoning MrRoof gave me, when they stopped the work started to replace molding and gutters, to continue their discussion regarding cause MrRoof continues to contend they are not obligated to finish work begun or repair damage While MrRoof verbally offered to pay for the second opinion should the cause be something other than condensation, they refused my request to put the offer in writting Fearing further delays may cause more extensive damage to my home during the spring rains, I move forward without cooperation or contribution from MrRoof Shamefully, as of this writting, MrRoof has even refuse to answer my Questions It is perplexing MrRoof has claimed my proactive course of action, as their resolve to my Revdex.com complaint They continue to do nothingvia email, MrRoof was twice invited to today's exterior roof inspection, and did not attend Regards, Denise Weatherford

Our general manager met with the home homeowner and is currently waiting on him to get back to us with a quote so we can resolve issues

I do not want anyone reviewing the business to think it was resolved in an acceptable manner The case can be closed, but this was totally unacceptable and I don't feel they were sincere in their apology I have attached a scan of my handwritten notes from start to finish There are a few images attached as wellI wanted to add many more, but it only allows attachments Regards, [redacted]

I'm very confused as to the complaintThe industry standard for blown off shingles after a storm is a $tarp which insurance company's cover without a questionWhen it comes to repairs, MrRoof like most roofing company's follows standardized established insurance pricing for any storm repairsSo not only did MrRoof not charge a tarping fee, the repair in question is actually below the standardize insurance storm work pricing and was done on the spot for the agreed on lower price It should be noted Michigan just had the largest wind storm in a years and our crews are working days a week trying to accommodate homeowners that are missing shingles and having leaksSo knowing that every roofing company in the state is overwhelmed with work and the fact we charged below established pricing shows the homeowner was not taken advantage ofTo reiterate, paying money out of your own pocket is never a pleasant thing but this homeowner was treated fairly and this claim should be removed

MrRoof regrets the misunderstandingThe algae that is now growing on the year algae resistant shingle is spread from airborne spores Airborne gloeocapse spores can travel as far as miles, any much further depending on the temperature and weather patternsThe aerial enclosed photo shows the small forest behind the homeThis proximity of vegetation, the numerous amount of neighbors in the subdivision with similar issues, the shade patterns of the home, and the eastern united states weather patterns have all contributed to this concern In an effort to eliminate any ill will and make the homeowner feel more comfortableMrRoof offers the following resolutionIf a reputable third party algae company isn’t able to remove the algae and finds that the customer is right and there is a material issueMrRoof will double the money spent to hire this company and replace any defective shinglesIf Mr Roof is correct and the algae comes off, the customer will alert the B.B.B that the accusations were incorrect and to please remove their complaint

First and foremost, thanks for reaching out to us and being an Able customer There was a time during the process of completing your job in which Able was short material This was a bit unforeseen since we used twice the amount of material on the fascia boardThe fascia board needed to be a two piece approach to complete correctly due to the design of the fascia and exceeding the expectations for our customer Therefore additional material needed to be ordered to finish the rake metal wrap and unfortunately the special color of the material needed to be ordered – not available as an in stock item Since we had to order a non-stock item more time had passed to complete your job than anticipated At the start of every job our customers are assigned a project manager and each job is managed by this person along with providing a quality control inspection at the completion of the job Although the project manager tries to keep each and every customer updated by phone, by text, or e-mail, the communication could have been better and we apologize To date it is my understanding that the extra material was received and the job is complete Please let us know if there is anything else we can help resolve and thank you again for choosing Able Roofing

We are working diligently to take care of this customers needs

We reviewed the request and documentation from our customer immediately upon receiving itWe are always empathetic when a homeowner has interior damage and we always honor our warranty which was years in this instanceHidden and unforeseen situations beyond our work unfortunately cause damages sometimes and this was the situation hereWe made our decision as to the cause of the damage from the photos provided to us from a third party contractor after their work was performedBased on those photos it was very clear that the water that damaged the floor was coming from the patio door and siding that had been installed without a vapor barrier, Tyvek tape and proper flashingsOur roof was not the cause of the leak and has been protecting this home for 7+ years Note: Attached is a letter sent to our customer in August from our GM

It was unfortunate that this customer originally sent an email to the wrong email address of our national customer service manager; therefore it was not received in a timely manner for us to look into the matter regarding a break in the connection of electricity to her ceiling fanIn addition she also did not allow enough time for our project manager to get with his supervisor to discuss the issue and schedule a fix before filing this complaintWe have now been in contact with our customer and will be arranging for a certified electrician to go out to her home to fix the issue to restore power to her ceiling fanThe customer stated to our general manager that she will correct her response with the Revdex.com to indicate that she had “overstepped herself” in prematurely filing a Revdex.com complaint before allowing us ample time to take care of her issue regarding the loss of power to her ceiling fan We at MrRoof are dedicated to providing the best products and service to our customers and we stand behind our work and our warranties

MrRoof understands the frustrations of the customer, but we have to assume the house is designed and engineered properly and cannot be held responsible for the design of the homeReplacing the old roof and old skylight would be considered by any standardsMr Roof's scope of work is to tear-off and replace the old roofing system, we were not contracted to make any architectural alterations nor do we offer this serviceThe new roofing system and skylight provided by the homeowner that we installed does not allow water to penetrate it and remains under warrantyWe have come out several times to inspect what the customer believed to be roofing leaks and found that the moisture in the home is condensation and this only happens in the winter, not during the rainPlease understand MrRoof did not design the home and has no control over the humidity level in the homeWe have suggested having third parties reinspect our work, adding ceiling fans, hiring architects, and other ideas to get the heat down from the high ceilingUnfortunately none of these ideas were acceptable to the homeowner

MrRoof's policy is to never hold our customers to a contract even after their cancelation period has past and to return their deposit money within daysWe promptly cancelled Mr [redacted] ’s job at his verbal request, communicated and processed his credit per our policyHis comments that we are “thieves” is very slanderous and absolutely not true

Enclosed is evidence of water leaks since roof was installed by MrRoof in Also evidence where I was told by Chris J [redacted] , contractor for MrRoof that work done would stop the leaks, but it was nothing but statements[redacted] ***MrRoof has destroyed my house

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] I am still waiting for them to complete work, repairing the leaking room It looks like we have another leaking in different room I am still waiting for them to reschedule the time, they are supposed to come here today but I don't know what time and will they show up???

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find the resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

It is completely untrue that this matter is “currently being handled by attorneys through arbitration per the contract signed by both partiesMy previous skylight where completely untampered with and were in their original formThe interior molding was customized, hand milled and stained to match the rest of the extensive molding in my home When I had other windows and door walls in my home replaced, the installers did not indiscriminately rip out the old widows leaving me with an interior mess They removed the interior molding and then put it back in place A skylight is a type of window and MrRoof also sells regular home window installation Do they rip out customers windows from the outside, leaving the customer with an unsightly mess on the interior? Upon, contracting MrRoof to install new skylights I did not know the molding was affixed to the skylights I had no further expectation of interior work, than it would be handled like any other window replacementWhen I saw the roofers attempting to rip out the molding from the outside My sole purpose was to save the hand milled trim from destruction, not to stop the roofing The assertion that all roofing need to come to a stop, is a dramatic over statement I expected the roofers would take the extra few minutes to carefully pull off the interior molding, as is typical of a window installation It was MrE [redacted] who made the determination that MrRoof could easier replace the molding at a later date Later, when E [redacted] examined to situation closely, he worried about replacing the milled and stained molding exactly, and I agreed to a simple stock molding that they could be paint white to match the skylights, if he preferredIt is true MrRoof sent people to examine the problem on occasions Each time leaving without a firm diagnoses or a plan Each time telling me they would discuss their findings with the boss and get back to me with the plan This never happened, as time proceeded; clear drips, turned to dirty drips, and drywall tape pealing and water stains appeared on the ceiling It was one year after reporting the dripping and months after the last inspection, I finally received the diagnosis of” interior condensation” Saying they have completed the work and demanding payment in full MrRoof has completely disregarded the promised interior molding replacement, having only done one of the skylights, left incomplete It is untrue that it doesn’t leak during a rainstorm! The fact that MrRoof has details of the problem entirely wrong is proof; they do not have a grasp of the issue at handIt is only during extended rainstorms that water became visible It was severe and extensive rainstorms for several days after install that originally compelled me to report the problem to MrRoof It does not leak in winter when there is no rain Damage does not increase during every rainstorm and it is impossible for me to determine the severity and wind direction that causes the slowly growing water damage While my layman’s observation leads me to believe the small leaks are between the roof and the skylights, I have always been willing to concede to MrRoofs expert opinion I have no need to combat their opinions, with a third party, I have merely pointed out what I have observed and the ridiculous run around I have been put through to get this job finishedMrRoof needs to professionally replace, and paint (or stain) the molding, as agreed to on install day MrRoof will be paid the remainder, and my warranty will handle future leaks and water damage if they are wrong

The original complaint stated that the shingles we installed years ago are defective and we wouldn’t stand behind themUpon our inspection prior to the complaint and afterwards we explained several times in detail that the shingle were not defective and that they needed to be cleanedThe customer insisted that we were wrong and that wasn’t the problem and still insisted the shingles were defective As a courtesy we offered for them to have the shingles cleaned and if that didn’t correct the problem we would double the money they spent and replace the shingles in questionNow their claiming we lied to them and had them replace a roofing system that just needed to be cleaned(It should be noted that when the customer set the appointment years ago they stated that they had lived in the house years and the shingles were there when they bought the house, but at that time they were in good condition.) MrRoof has taken the extreme high road considering the many slanderous comments made by the homeownerAt some point the homeowner must consider that cleaning an year old roof next to a forest is not covered under the warranty and is considered part of maintenance
