Pride Heating & Air Conditioning Reviews (4)

I am writing this review today b/c I have come across an issue currently, and I also had an issue in the past with PrideThe first issue I had at time of install (2009) was regarding my rebatePride installed my new split A/C unit in 7/and I was supposed to receive my rebate directly from the company to meAfter several months of asking Pride why I had not received my rebate, they informed me that the rebate came to them and they would pay me insteadWell instead of giving me the full amount of the rebate (as they had gotten paid by Coleman), they paid me in separate checks (for 1/of the amount each time) at different times with the final payment given to me in January 2010)At no time should they have taken my rebate check and if they did, they should have paid me the rebate in full at the time they received it My second issue is a current one I am facingI have had several problems with my compressor not blowing cold airI have come to a place where I needed to see what was covered under the warrantyI checked my invoice provided by Pride where it states I have a year compressor warrantySo being a new homeowner at the time of install and never having purchased an A/C unit before, I did not know that in order for my warranty to be effective for the full years, I had to register my unit with the companyWhen Pride installed my unit, they did not provide me with any paperwork for the unit outside of my invoice for the job itselfI did not know the unit had to be registeredSo I called Coleman today and they said there was only a year warranty on the unit, not (which expired in 2014) and if I had registered it within the first days it would have increased it to yearsSince Pride had written on my invoice "year warranty on compressor" I assumed it was covered for yearsThis was misleading on the part of Pride and since I was provided no additional paperwork, I did not know otherwiseSo now I will be facing additional out of pocket expenses for something that would have otherwise been covered by a year warranty had Pride provided me with the correct information and paperwork

I am writing this review today b/c I have come across an issue currently, and I also had an issue in the past with Pride. The first issue I had at time of install (2009) was regarding my rebate. Pride installed my new split A/C unit in 7/2009 and I was supposed to receive my rebate directly from the company to me. After several months of asking Pride why I had not received my rebate, they informed me that the rebate came to them and they would pay me instead. Well instead of giving me the full amount of the rebate (as they had gotten paid by Coleman), they paid me in 3 separate checks (for 1/3 of the amount each time) at 3 different times with the final payment given to me in January 2010). At no time should they have taken my rebate check and if they did, they should have paid me the rebate in full at the time they received it.
My second issue is a current one I am facing. I have had several problems with my compressor not blowing cold air. I have come to a place where I needed to see what was covered under the warranty. I checked my invoice provided by Pride where it states I have a 10 year compressor warranty. So being a new homeowner at the time of install and never having purchased an A/C unit before, I did not know that in order for my warranty to be effective for the full 10 years, I had to register my unit with the company. When Pride installed my unit, they did not provide me with any paperwork for the unit outside of my invoice for the job itself. I did not know the unit had to be registered. So I called Coleman today and they said there was only a 5 year warranty on the unit, not 10 (which expired in 2014) and if I had registered it within the first 90 days it would have increased it to 10 years. Since Pride had written on my invoice "10 year warranty on compressor" I assumed it was covered for 10 years. This was misleading on the part of Pride and since I was provided no additional paperwork, I did not know otherwise. So now I will be facing additional out of pocket expenses for something that would have otherwise been covered by a 10 year warranty had Pride provided me with the correct information and paperwork.

Review: The [redacted] of this company [redacted] came to fix my heating system because it was blowing cold air at this time he informed us that I needed a whole new unit because the computer boards in the system were no longer any good. My husband and I were also told if we put in the new efficiency unit we would also be receiving a $600.00 rebate thru [redacted].After the new unit was installed the EXACT PROBLEM was still happening.....COLD AIR WAS STILL BLOWING when we notified the [redacted] he came back and found out it was a thermostat issue from the beginging. After the new thermo was installed it was fine. Evidently we NEVER needed the new unit or the cost of a couple of thousand dollars. On top of this deception the workers installing the unit BURNT a hole in my fairly new perfect carpet with their soldering gun then proceeded to stick a piece of cardboard in it to Cover it up.That was 11-**-13 to date I have not received my REBATE AND MY CARPET STILL HAS THE HOLE IN IT. We have made countless phone calls to no avail. When I called [redacted] directly about the rebate I was told NO REQUEST WAS EVER SUBMITTED. My husband and I are very reasonable people....we did NOT make an issue about the problem at hand ONLY needing a new thermostat we just accepted it and figured " oh well we got a new unit" but now he has lied and told us THE REBATES WERE BACK LOGGED AT [redacted] and He is STILL TRYING TO FIND A CARPET REPAIR MAN. 11/**/14 will be a YEAR. I'm SO UPSET BY THIS MAN'S LACK OF HONESTY AND UNWILLINGNESS to just DO THE RIGHT THING....GET MY REBATE....FIX MY CARPET. We paid him at the time of service without any hesitation I STRONGLY FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND HUGELY DISRESPECTED AS A CUSTOMER.Desired Settlement: My carpet must be repaired to MY satisfaction and I want my [redacted] rebate.
