Our billing manager has contacted the individual who filed the complaint and resolved the matter

payment made by the patient. The only payment is by the Insurance Carrier. The patient was sent to our Collection Agency due to non-payment, but had received several statements for several months. The patient had ample opportunity to dispute the charges or produce proof of payment if it was not recorded. Review: I had an agreement with this company to pay under a sliding fee scale. I made it clear to the person ordering the services that I had no money for extra services. The services were completed Dec 5. I subsequently had to seek services from another facility outside this network which made me have to cancel a future appointment. I did that on Jan 15. I had not received a bill yet for services on Dec 5. I finally received the bill on Jan 22. The date of billing was Jan 15. the day I called and cancelled future contact with this company! What company bills 6 weeks after services are rendered?! They were not going to bill me for these services! That's my first issue! Second, the name on the bill is not the person who ordered the services. I never saw the person listed on the bill! Apparently the person who ordered the services didn't even have authority to do so! I was never told of that! I have many issues with this company and I clearly outlined them and sent a letter Feb 15. I have never gotten a response! The bill says no where that it is for services outside the sliding fee scale. I paid according to that scale agreement! I continued to get a bill for additional money every month since. I have repeatedly explained I do not owe the balance. I've never gotten an explanation just bills. Yesterday I received a collection notice. Still no explanation just threats! I called and yes, I was mad! But the person did not listen to me or try to diffuse the situation. Instead, he escalated it, threatened me and then hung up on me! Just another in a long line of inept people within this company! They do not treat their customers respectfully or even give them due consideration. For many reasons, I do not owe this company anymore money. In fact, my statement and check said paid in full and they received it! I am sending the balance due under protest/contesting the charges because he told me he was turning me over to collections.Desired Settlement: I want an apology for the horrible treatment I've received from every person involved! I want my $35 dollars refunded me and my credit record restored! I have never had a problem with a bill in my life! This situation has caused adverse affects on my health - something they are supposed to care about. Maybe that's how they stay in business.
