On June 12, 2015 Michael P[redacted] DBA Prime Construction quoted me a price of $1,800.00 to pour a concrete patio. He asked for a $ 600.00 deposit that I paid. Today is August 8, 2015 & my backyard looks like a concrete explosion that some kids created. My frame was put down in about 3 days. It stayed there for for a very long time. Finally 2 men showed up to dig out the area, but they had no shovels & asked to borrow mine. They began to pile up the dirt & grass that they dug out of the frame into my grass. I asked them about the pile & they said they would take care of it. Currently, the pile is still there & of course my grass is dead. On July 22nd after many phone calls some men showed up & asked if they could borrow a wheelbarrow and stated that the concrete truck was coming to deliver the cement. They tore out my back porch & poured some concrete. They left a wooden board attached to the house with nails & sharp edges sticking out. They did not frame for the steps nor did they build them, We were left with about a 2 foot drop off out of my back door. They ran out of concrete & shortened my patio area about 2 feet along the side. All of the concrete was not smoothed out but they said they were tired & would come back the next day. They left 2 wheelbarrows in the yard with concrete in them that dried. Splotches of concrete are in my grass by my gate & out by the curb. Concrete was splattered all over the back of my house. I didn't hear from anyone for 8 days when Mike came by to say he had been sick & was there anything he could do to straighten things out. He took the 2 wheelbarrows & had someone clean the concrete splatters of of the siding on the back of the house. I was out of town & had left a check with my daughter to pay Mike when the job was finished. I told my family to pay all but $ 200.00 not knowing what a mess was left there. I stopped payment on the check for $1,060.00. My bank refused to honor the check later but Mike had cashed it earlier @ a check cashing place & now the check cashing store said I am responsible to pay them $ 1,060.00 even though Mike signed an agreement to be responsible for his transaction. The company that is coming out to repair & clean up Mike's damage took pictures & said they had never seen anything like it.
