We replaced the roof for [redacted] July 2015, This replacement was due to Hail damage a few months priorThe roof was replaced in strict accordance with the insurance adjusters findings claim Number 032058298-Liberty MutualWe spoke to the homeonwer that the adjusters estimate did NOT include any counter flashing along the siding walls of the roofIt is completely untrue that we did not replace ANY flashingsThe only flashings that were NOT replaced were what was NOT on the adjusters paper work"SEE ATTACHED PHOTO OF INSURANCE COMPANY'S DETAILED LINE ITEMS"However we did advise her that the counter flashings were currently opened up and that is when she informed us of the current leaks in the house which made sense that they were leakingMrs [redacted] did not want to pay her deductible on her claim and asked what we could do for her and how she could possibly have some money left over She was informed we could seal the wall flashings as best as possible but if she wanted us to replace them it would add to the estimate which was advised to do She chose not to do so, so our estimate was written without themBefore doing ANY work on the house [redacted] explained to her in DETAIL as we do every customer the protocol for a roof replacement, from shingle delivery to end of constructionThis is a very dirty and noisy processShe was asked to please bear with us while construction is underwayAt the end of the day we do a clean up of the driveways and walkways and sweep with a magnet for nails which we did all three days we were there at the end of the day! After the first rain a bit later it did leak as expectedShe has NEVER called and will NOT return any phone calls but did text and we dispatched the lead roofer on the crew to investigate and we found not only was it coming in the wall flashings, that she should have paid to replaceit was also coming in damaged and dilapidated stucco and siding of the house that probably should have been replaced/fixed years agoShe asked us why didn't we tell her about it when we did the roof and it was explained to her that stucco and siding are out of our scope of work and we were contracted to do the roofThese are two separate tradesWe do not make these repairsShe was obviously angry but not only do we NOT do those repairs we are not licensed or insured for THOSE repairsAt a later date the customer informed us she called her insurance company out to look at the roofWhat they found was the same as I statedStucco repairs were needed and siding wall flashingThe roof itself is NOT leaking which she acknowledgedAt a later date she called us back and she forwarded the papers to us, and after speaking to her she acknowledged the Insurance company was at fault for not catching these line items on her original claimNow that the insurance company is giving her the run around and will not pay her for the needed repairs she is trying to say its our fault by making things up and making other things sound way worse that than they are/wereWe have sent out our team numerous times to try to help Mrs [redacted] We have sealed the siding as best as possible without completely replacing the counter wall flashingShe has been a very difficult customer to work for from the startShe was emailing and texting every minutes about something or anotherAs for any plants damaged this is the FIRST we have heard about any of itAfter the adjuster came back to the house with his suggested ideas for repairs she asked us to write a quote to fix themWe declined to perform any further work on her property due to the difficulty in even getting paid for the work to begin with as she did not pay until the middle of AUGUST, which in itself we almost had to file suit to get her to pay, but did let her know we will stand behind the warranty on the roof for the repairs that have already been completedSince we declined to perform any new work she has gone to the Revdex.comWhen she threatened us to do the work or she would go to the Revdex.com that is when [redacted] told her it wouldn't do her any good as we are not accepting any more contract work from her

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The damage has not been repaired yet The company sent a person out with no advance call no ID that he worked for the company on the vehicle The contract called for CT Winterguard to be installed The cut tiles and mount where removed and new ones put over the old tar paper roofing materialThe interior damage has not been addressed yet Damage to two walls, probably the insulation in the roof and wall since the drywall is soft and the ceiling contains mold Although they did send someone out to clean up a second time, pieces continued to be found and nails, staples and pieces of the old roof where still being found on the back deck in May Billy Craft was given what fell after the one days rain when he came to inspect the work done on the roof The clean up was not done the first time or the second timeThe matter of the satellite mount being a misunderstanding is also falseI had to have [redacted] come back out and reset the satelliteThere was a credit given for the work done by [redacted] to realign and questionable parts found on the back deck prior to [redacted] coming out where turned in to the office of Prime Regards, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] The subcontractor they hired came into the house, stated that the ceiling , wall panels and insulation needed to be replaced and he would submit the bid to Prime since they stated they would be paying for the repairsHe also said that the cabinets would need to be removed before he could do the work since they over lapped the panel The mount was not moved and new shingles placed below itThe shingles where cut to go around the mount The adjuster from Foremost Insurance Group Rico Carpenter inspected the damage to the ceiling , walls and floor and denied the claim since it is not hail or wind damage He showed me the pictures of the shingles which where cut around the mount The statement of knowing if they had or hadn't removed the tar paper has to do with the pieces of roofing board , one with a perfect circle being left on the back deck by the person they sent to fix the cut shingles along with other pieces that were left on the deck The pieces of roofing material would not have been on the deck if the tar paper was already replaced because it would have been under the paper In regards to the clean up they had the first time when the work was done and clean up was supposed to be part of the bid The second time when they came out to reclean , the third time when they sent the person to replace the cut tiles My wife had handed Billy Craft a handful of debris which I had picked up when he came to inspect the mount and the company had been made aware of the debris several timesIt was not "little rocks " it was pieces of old shingle pieces , pieces of paper the shingles came wrapped in , nails, orange plastic pieces that are used to attach either nails or screws and staples

First off we apologize for the debris that was left behind, Roofing is a very dirty job and there is a lot of debris and trash that comes off of the roofAs stated we did return for a second cleaningThere was obviously a mis communication with the satellite mounts whether to leave them or
to remove themAt this point it doesn't matter and we will make it right for youToday we removed the mounts and replaced the shingles in this areaWe will also be willing to fix the sheet rock damage that occurredConstruction is not a perfect science sometimes and mistakes get madeWe acknowledge the mistake and will make it rightThat is what sets us apart from other roofersAgain very sorry for the inconvenience.*** *** Prime Seamless Gutters & Roofing, LLC

Yes we did send out a sub contractor to as the damages [redacted] claims are from our installation of the new roof, A courtesy call was given however no one answered the phone. His truck is unmarked because he does not work for us. We do roofing and gutters not drywall and interior repairs so we hired a sub to inspect the damages. I am not sure why it is an issue his truck did not have our decal on it. Yes the contract does call for 36 Feet of  CT winter guard in the VALLEY areas which is exactly what was installed  and felt underlay goes on the rest of the decking as per code requirements. Yes we removed the mounts and installed new shingles not tiles, The tar paper or felt as she describes was replaced at time of new roof install. The only way to see if any tar paper was remaining or new paper was actually installed would be take off the brand new shingles herself or had another contractor take them off which in that case would void her workmanship warranty anyway. The reason the interior damage has not been addressed yet and or fixed is after our investigating we found [redacted] installed another mount after the roof was installed in the same area where the roof is "was" leaking, It is installed DIRECTLY through the tops of the shingles and was not sealed at all, However we did seal it for her at no charge. As for the clean up we are sorry for the debris that was created and we would be happy to clean again! Cleanliness is something that is easily fixed and a lot faster and less effort than filing a complaint. A simple phone call is all it takes. Every roof after the first rain sheds a TON or granuals "the little rocks" that are coated on shingles. They add an abundance to them during the manufacturing process and is completely normal to see this after the first rain. I am sorry if this was not explained to your properly but we would have been happy to come out and sweep off your deck at no charge as well. If you have any questions please feel free to call at your convenience.   [redacted]

The subcontractor they hired came into the house, stated that the ceiling , 2 wall panels and insulation needed to be replaced and he would submit the bid to Prime since they stated they would be paying for the repairs. He also said that the cabinets would need to be removed before he could do the work since they over lapped the panel .  The mount was not moved and new shingles placed below it. The shingles where cut to go around the mount . The adjuster from Foremost Insurance Group  Rico Carpenter inspected the damage to the ceiling , walls and floor and denied the claim since  it is not hail or wind damage.  He showed me the pictures of the shingles which where cut around the mount.  The statement of knowing if they had or hadn't removed the tar paper  has to do with the pieces  of roofing board  , one with a perfect circle being left on the back deck by the person they sent to fix the cut shingles along with other pieces  that    were left on the deck  The pieces of roofing material would not have been on the deck if the tar paper was already replaced because it would have been under the paper  . In regards to the clean up they had the first time when the work was done and clean up was supposed to be part of the  bid.  The second time when they came out to  reclean , the third time when they sent the person to replace the cut tiles .   My wife  had handed Billy Craft a handful of debris which I had picked up when he came to inspect the mount  and the company had been made aware of the debris several times. It was not "little rocks " it was pieces of old shingle pieces  , pieces of paper the shingles came wrapped in  , nails, orange plastic pieces that are used to attach either nails or screws   and staples .

Attached you will see a copy of a text message thread showing Mrs [redacted] asking us to quote her to fix her flashing after the roof was completed. She also acknowledges the insurance company will not accept responsibility as they  left off the flashing in the original estimate. The roof is installed in accordance with CT shingle applicators manual. If Mrs [redacted] chooses to slander our name via local news and or legal action we will pursue legal action of our own for slander. We have had our crew to her house every time she called within an hour to try to re seal the counter flashing. We have communicated what we found from the start to the end of the process. Now that more work needs to be done in addition to her insurance claim she wants it done for free.  There was no damage done to her property during the roof process. If she can show some before and after pictures we would be happy to pay for any damages caused. However this is the first time she has made allegations that property was damaged.

We replaced the roof for [redacted] July 13 2015, This replacement was due to Hail damage a few months prior. The roof was replaced in strict accordance with the insurance adjusters findings claim Number 032058298-01 Liberty Mutual. We spoke to the homeonwer that the adjusters estimate did NOT...

include any counter flashing along the siding walls of the roof. It is completely untrue that we did not replace ANY flashings. The only flashings that were NOT replaced were what was NOT on the adjusters paper work. "SEE ATTACHED PHOTO OF INSURANCE COMPANY'S DETAILED LINE ITEMS". However we did advise her that the counter flashings were currently opened up and that is when she informed us of the current leaks in the house which made sense that they were leaking. Mrs [redacted] did not want to pay her deductible on her claim and asked what we could do for her and how she could possibly have some money left over.  She was informed we could seal the wall flashings as best as possible but if she wanted us to replace them it would add to the estimate which was advised to do.  She chose not to do so, so our estimate was written without them. Before doing ANY work on the house [redacted] explained to her in DETAIL as we do every customer the protocol for a roof replacement, from shingle delivery to end of construction. This is a very dirty and noisy process. She was asked to please bear with us while construction is underway. At the end of the day we do a clean up of the driveways and walkways and sweep with a magnet for nails which we did all three days we were there at the end of the day! After the first rain a bit later it did leak as expected. She has NEVER called and will NOT return any phone calls but did text  and we dispatched the lead roofer on the crew to investigate and we found not only was it coming in the wall flashings, that she should have paid to replace... it was also coming in damaged and dilapidated stucco and siding of the house that probably should have been replaced/fixed years ago. She asked us why didn't we tell her about it when we did the roof and it was explained to her that stucco and siding are out of our scope of work and we were contracted to do the roof. These are two separate trades. We do not make these repairs. She was obviously angry but not only do we NOT do those repairs we are not licensed or insured for THOSE repairs. At a later date the customer informed us she called her insurance company out to look at the roof. What they found was the same as I stated. Stucco repairs were needed and siding wall flashing. The roof itself is NOT leaking which she acknowledged. At a later date she called us back and she forwarded the papers to us, and after speaking to her she acknowledged the Insurance company was at fault for not catching these line items on her original claim. Now that the insurance company is giving her the run around and will not pay her for the needed repairs she is trying to say its our fault by making things up and making other things sound way worse that than they are/were. We have sent out our team numerous times to try to help Mrs [redacted]. We have sealed the siding as best as possible without completely replacing the counter wall flashing. She has been a very difficult customer to work for from the start. She was emailing and texting every 10 minutes about something or another. As for any plants damaged this is the FIRST we have heard about any of it. After the adjuster came back to the house with his suggested ideas for repairs she asked us to write a quote to fix them. We declined to perform any further work on her property due to the difficulty in even getting paid for the work to begin with as she did not pay until the middle of AUGUST, which in itself we almost had to file suit to get her to pay, but did let her know we will stand behind the warranty on the roof for the repairs that have already been completed. Since we declined to perform any new work she has gone to the Revdex.com. . When she threatened us to do the work or she would go to the Revdex.com that is when [redacted] told her it wouldn't do her any good as we are not accepting any more contract work from her.

I am rejecting this response because:Mr. [redacted] all he's doing is repeating himself, the text he sent, I sent it too , it's not a secret that I tried to get to an agreement  with him n pay for the job. which agrees with my complaint. He's not willing to fix his mess, he just doesn't care. I'm a retired business middle aged woman n [redacted] from Prime seamless gutters n roofing is just trying to settle on his own, n I have to mention that He's a very young , inexperienced and with a bad n short temper. I'm not going to waste my time with He or She say, pictures speak by themselves. the pictures attached show just one hole on my roof not even reported by Prime seamless n just masked with the tar paper n shingles. now its fixed ! not by Prime seamless of course !I got water inside at least three occasions thru there! after the new roof was placed , n thru at least 5 other places in other rooms!  now that explains why.well I tried to not make this issue bigger but all I have to say is, yes I'm going to the Media your threatens don't scare me, is my right and I'm nit slandering you since at least two inspector gave their report of old tar paper wasn't removed n placed New paper on top.  Face your mistake n fix it instead, of arguing back n forward.  We will see each other in Court definitely. If this Company doesn't give me my full  or at least 50-% refund or we settle this issue in another  professional manner.

I had to have [redacted] come back out and reset the satellite. There was a 65.00 credit given for the work done by [redacted] to realign and questionable parts found on the back deck  prior to [redacted] coming out where turned in to the office of Prime .
