Prime Skin Canada Reviews (%countItem)

. You order a sample for a minimal fee of around $10 charged to your credit card for shipping and handling but once you do this, without your clear understanding (the fine print) you are actually becoming a member and then your cc gets billed over a hundred dollars each month for face cream and again for eye cream. The credit card companies do not treat this as ***, which it clearly is, very very misleading, and explain to their customers what the procedure is to stop being considered a member of Prime Skin. The banks are very aware of this activity so you have to ask why they have not stopped this kind of *** and made an effort protect their clients. ***.

. I've canceled and they keep sending more products and charging my CC . I cannot use the products and they don't care

Prime Skin Canada Response • Jul 26, 2019

Thank you for sharing this information and experience. On 11/25/18 Lyn P. placed an order online for our trial offer of PrimeSkin Cream and Eye Revitalizer. On 2/12/18 Lyn emailed into customer care to cancel her monthly renewal of the products. We cancelled both products at this time. She was last billed on 2/09/19 and 2/11/19 prior to cancelling. On 2/19/19 Lyn called into customer service to confirm her order was cancelled. Then on 7/03/19 Lyn again contacted customer care stating she was still receiving products and being billed. We explained at that time the last products were billed and shipped out on 2/9/19 and 2/11/19. It would appear from Lyn's feedback that she has an order with another company. You can refer to the products being received for contact information for the company shipping and billing them to you. We are sorry we cannot assist you further and wish you the best of luck in getting this issue resolved.

I first saw these skin care products advertised on my *** feed. The initial advertisement was associated to *** dropping out of the music business. I clicked on it to find out why? Once I clicked it the reason was to pursue her own skin care line. It said I qualified, as a Canadian, to a trial offer of the products if I merely paid the shipping. I read nothing with regards to it being a limited offer, where the product had to be returned if I wasn't happy with it. Subsequently my credit card was charged for the 2 products - over $200 dollars. Once I noticed the charge I contacted them and they cancelled my subscription but had already sent out another set of products. I don't agree that they were transparent in their advertising of this product and they have not responded to my request to at least send back the two unopened products in return for a credit to my card.

Desired Outcome

I would, at the very least, be refunded for the two unopened skin products I received after I contacted them. In addition, I think they need to adjust how they advertise these products so people know what they are getting themselves into.

Prime Skin Canada Response • Feb 19, 2019

The customer has been refunded on the packages that they requested. however we need to make it clear that we have never claimed to have any affiliation to *** in any of our marketing materials.

Same story. Ordered a "free sample" based on an ad saying the product had impressed the *** judges. I agreed to pas s&h but nothing else. A month later my credit card was charged and then again and again. I never gave authorization for this and had to contact my bank to report ***. ***. ***.

Wow from Don't send any money just pay shipping I have 471.60 short in my bank acct They get your credit card # for the shipping and then here I am short this amount and I don't recall being informed of any agreement. I thought Id receive a small trial container of cream for shipping cost only .I contacted my bank who knew right away what I was talking about before I even mentioned the name because of all the calls there getting .*** I thought shipping cost was affordable for me but this really hurts..I cancelled other wise Id owe another 235.80 on top of the other charges .They certainly didn't go to any extent of informing the buyers so suttle .I cant believe how hard they are to contact its a real run around .Sharon S

Offered sample of 2 products for skin care on internet which I purchased online Nov. 25/18 for $3.95 and $4.95. These were purchased and payed for with no indication on the promotion of any contract obligation clearly stated or obviously indicating the requirement to cancel further product purchase commitment within 14days.I received the samples one week later. Was billed on my *** on Dec 9 and 11 for the two products of the same size and quantity as the samples initially purchased for $119.95 and $115.95 respectively.I then received the second batch of two skin products on Jan15/19 when I then became aware of this ***.I contacted Prime Skin and they refunded only %35 of the Dec billings and fully refunded the billing that had occurred again in Jan/19 .
***. I am contacting *** to contest the withholding of full reimbursement due to *** business practice and dishonesty of Prime Skin

Desired Outcome

full reimbursement of all charges to my *** account save the cost of the original sample products purchased Nov25/18

I came across the "free sample ad for Prime Skin and requested a "sample" for my wife to try. After ordering, she immediately told me it was ***. Today, in the mail, another unsolicited package arrived from Prime Skin containing Prime Skin Revitalizing Moisturizing Cream and a small bottle of PPrime Skin ageless eye revitalizer. I did not order it. when I tried to contact the company that initially advertised it on behalf of Prime Skin they disavowed any association with Prime Skin and said they could not help contact the company in any way. well, neither can anyone else because there is no way to contact them except through my credit card company.

Prime Skin facecream was falsely advertised on ***. The advertisement said that *** was quitting her job as a TV news anchor and starting a skin care business. She was offering a free trial. I clicked that I would like a sample and it clearly said "free" beside it. There was a minimal postage charge and I had to give my credit card info to pay for that. It gave me an option for eye cream too but I didn't take that option.A few days later my cream arrived and there was also eye cream. Since the postage was just about $2 extra I didn't do anything about it.I was expecting to be asked later if I would want to buy some after the trial. I didn't receive any offer; however on Jan. 8 I received a package in the mail with another face cream and another eye cream. I immediately called my credit card company and discovered I was charged for the first creams as well as the second ones. I was charged 119.95 twice for the eye cream and 115.95 twice for the face cream which amounts to $471.80. My credit card company gave me a phone number for *** (eye cream) X-XXX-XXX-XXXX and another one for *** ( face cream) X-XXX-XXX-XXXX. I called about the face cream and was told that I signed up for a subscription to monthly face cream and that I clicked in the box to accept terms and conditions. However in looking back there was no box or no link to terms and conditions on the offer form. He told me all he could do was refund me 20%. After I bargained with him, he offered 35% which he gave me but it was only 35% of the second creams. I asked twice about sending back the creams for a refund but he said you can't return them. He canceled my subscription. That night I studied the terms and conditions and saw instructions for returning the product. So I called back and the next person (***) looked at the terms and conditions and agreed that it says you can return the creams but told me that since my account was canceled he couldn't do anything more. I called the other phone number thinking it was a different company but it was the same company and the next person (***) offered me 15% more refund. When I told him I wanted a complete refund, he gave me a supervisor, *** who offered to refund me for the second creams just received.(without sending them back) $115.95 plus $119.95 = 235.90. She said she can't do anything about the first creams. I told each agent that they need to change their advertising and make it clear what people are signing up for when they accept the free trial. I just found an email from them in my junk box which had been sent after I ordered the free trial and on the very bottom in fine print you could click on terms and conditions and it gave the info that after 14 days you would be charged if you didn't call to cancel your subscription. The terms and conditions were definitely hidden. ***. Each agent listened politely but didn't make any promises.I just checked and the offer is still on *** but is not connected to ***. ***. It is obvious they are trying to be deceptive *** people into paying before they know it. The agents were very polite and well trained *** and tell you they can't do anything. Then later they offer something. On the third call, they offered to refund the second skin creams. I haven't seen the complete refund yet but am hoping it's coming.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like them to stop their *** advertising which causes people to ***. I would also like them to refund me $235.90 since it was not clear that I would be charged for the "free trials". It clearly said "free" on the order form.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I thank Primeskin very much for reimbursing me. However I would like them to change their advertising on ***. The free offer for a sample says it is no longer available. However iwhen I searched for Primeskin advertisements on ***, I found this site and when you click on the offer it brings up the same type of offer that I clicked on and the container of face cream looks the same but the name is ***. Primeskin no longer has an ad with *** but now it seems that an identical product is being advertised using her endorsement but now called ***. https://***.com/***/index3.php?hit=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXThis exact same advertisement was connected with Primeskin before. It has the same offer for a free sample that I clicked on. When you click on the free sample offer, they should say it is a free trial for 14 days and if not canceled by then, you will be charged 115.96 to your credit card. They don't offer that information until you've already given out your credit card info and they send you an email. Even then it's not clear and so I would call this very deceptive. Thankfully Primeakin has been very nice to me and has reimbursed me for my expense that was a mistake. Everyone I talked to when I called was very professional and polite. However on *** I saw that a lot of people have lost money by accepting the same free offer I did, not realizing their credit card will be charged. Here is a link to ***'s warning regarding skin products.being endorsed by her falsely. https://***.com/***/index3.php?hit=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXSo I would ask that this company which seems to keep changing names and websites to please make your offer clear and stop trying to deceive people or scam them.

found over $230 of charges on my December credit card bill. I have sent a complaint and request for refund upon returned product.

I was charged full retail for the 'free trial' whereas I was lead to believe I only would be charged shipping fees. Furthermore the automatic subscription details are hidden in small print which is difficult to read on the web site. I did not see this notice on the pop up ad I regrettably responded to. I was charged in total more that $450.00 before I canceled the subscription. Perhaps if the product was even slightly effective I might not feel ***. I have since found all of the reviews I read before sighing onto a 'free trial' are ***. The product is *** and the service is patronizing at best.

... I had no idea what this company was doing. *** ...I received no invoice and was sent product without my knowledge ...I might have missed the extra fine print but without an invoice I had no until I tried to send the second order back and they would do absolutely nothing to help my situation. Then they told me there was a third on the way as well and I was already charged.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Prime Skin. It is a major negative billing *** and not worth it. *** Wish I was more careful .
I have never experienced such a bad experience in trying a product.

Don't take the trial offer until you read the fine print which by-the-way isn't obvious. My wife ordered the trial. We hadn't received any of the products until after Christmas. In the new year we were billed $300.00 for a membership which we had not authorized. Apparently if you don't go back on line to cancel the membership it automatically signs you up. This was not clear on the web site. We called several times to cancel and were refused. Each call centre person continuously repeated themselves saying we should have read the fine print and would not provide access to a manager to help us resolve the cancellation. We now have to go to the credit card company and lodge a dispute which means we have to cancel the card and is a great inconvenience to me!!

Desired Outcome

Refund of $300.00

The fine print was indeed very fine and not clearly displayed. The 14 day trial period is ***. By the time they process your order and get it in the mail the 14 days have passed. When I pointed this out to the customer service rep, ***, I got a virtual shrug, like it was my problem, not theirs or the postal service disruptions. In our phone call to cancel, he kept referring back to the "contract". I made no progress in getting a refund but felt stymied as to what other course of action I could take.

The endorsement of Wendy M., looked legit, like she had developed the product. A trusted journalist that became very untrustworthy in my opinion. The endorsement of several celebrities that you may like could be bogus as well.

They agree to send you a product, which is dated from the time the order is placed, so does not give one much of a trial period, then they start running the charges through your credit card. No where on their site is information about the cost of the product, which shows up on your credit card.

This company is not reputable in the least! I found extra charges on my credit card and was then informed that I had signed up to get more products and that I had gone past the free trial. They also told me that they had sent me an email telling me that my free trial was over, which was completely untrue.
The product that I received had not even been used and they would not allow me to return it. *** I feel that my credit card company should be allowed to remove those charges.

On Nov. 17, 2018 I was on a website that had a popup ad stating that a certain celebrity journalist of a popular entertainment tv show was quitting the show to work fulltime on her 'beauty product line'. On the side of the article was an ad for Prime Skin Canada that stated you could get a couple of skin products by just paying for the shipping which was charged on my credit card bill for $4.95 and $5.95. Nowhere on the advertisement did I see small print of any kind saying I would be signing up to buy these products every month. I received the 2 products that I had supposedly paid only shipping for within a week. On my current credit car bill online (which I haven't received in the mail yet) I was charged on Dec. 1 for "SPRSUPPMUSCLE.COM" for a charge of $119.95 and Dec. 3 for "SPRSUPPSERUM" at $115.95. Of course I do not want these items and did not order them to my knowledge.

Desired Outcome

I want the two charges (totalling almost $300.00) previously mentioned in the description of my complaint taken off my credit card bill. The shipping charges I have already paid for and they can stand. I do not want to see any more charges nor do I want any products shipped to me from Prime Skin Canada. I will return any products that may have already been shipped to me.

The product does not deliver what is stated in your online ad. BUYER BEWARE from this company, as is you do not read the fine print carefully you will be billed the full price amount and then for subsequent months, so much for free trial offer where you only pay the shipping cost. Normally an invoice is enclosed with the shipment when you make online purchases, however, this company fails to do so ***. *** 1. it does not do as the ad states, and 2. the disclosure is not clear for the online buyer. I have contacted the company that bills you for the product which has a different name than the product. I will also be contacting the number listed on this product ad. ***

Lynn

It starts with *** ads claiming endorsement of known public figures. I also did what I thought was a product check, obviously not thorough enough. The fake news release I saw initially, is no longer to be found anywhere on line.

Was referred to their product from a *** group. The product website advertised a free trial of a skin care cream, a small sample which was free as long as shipping was paid.

My wife ordered two samples. A few weeks later we were charged $120 x 2.

I called master card as we didn't recognize the retailer, they noted that they have had plenty of calls and complaints about the company and advised I call them.

I called Prime Skin and they noted that it was a subscription model and that by not 'cancelling' we had agreed to 120$/mo per product.

I argued that it was not mentioned or made clear anywhere in the payment process that it was initiating a subscription. They noted that it was all in the 'fine print' at the bottom of their website in the terms and conditions.

I battled with the customer service agent and the supervisor...
We should have gotten an email when the order was placed, but conveniently the email address they sent it to was not correct...
They agreed to cancel the subscription, but are failing to acknowledge the *** and perhaps *** means by which they advertised the cost and product model etc

Desired Outcome

Full refund of the product charges. The sales and advertising practices are *** and ***. The customer is not made clear what it is they are purchasing and even if the terms and conditions at the bottom of the website are read, they are ambiguous as they make reference to a one-time purchase, which is what my wife assumed and believed to be the case

Prime Skin Canada Response • Jan 14, 2019

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and for giving us the opportunity to present our side.We regret to hear that Mr. and his wife have had a bad experience. We would like to learn more about the *** group that they were directed to our product with, as this was not our own and we do not know what was communicated to them there. Our terms are available on our websites and we include them in the emails that customers receive. Emails are sent automatically and we depend on the address being right upon order entry for them to be delivered successfully. We regret to hear that there was confusion with this. Their account has been refunded in on the 3rd of January, we trust the this has satisfied them.

Customer Response • Jan 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)The customer services representatives we dealt with over the phone were pleasant and we are satisfied with the response one the Revdex.com were engaged. We just hope the company updates their business practices to prevent this happening to others.

In the ad. Prime skin canada, Po Box 1238 Toronto ON M3J 0R7 said FREE trial, then I ordered, they showed charged me the shipping fee for the free trial. I agreed with that. After 6 days I got an email to confirm this order. But under all the email they used supper small and fade color word said: within 14 days, if I want to cancel this trial, I may, otherwise need to pay. I didn't find the small words. After 15 days I got the product. Later I got my master card statement. showed me they charged me $235.90 total. What a FREE trail! I phoned they said No FREE. on the bank statement showed: ***.com, and ***.com. They said there were not their company. They also told me their address one is Celebrations,Florida, and another answer said Po Box *** Aurora ILL, but on the web:*** showed: Chadderton, Oldham, UK. The parcel I got showing: Po Box 1238 Toronto. their phone: XXX XXX XXXX, and XXX XXX XXXX. ***. I am sure I am not the only one. They did this ad. on more than 15 websites. I need my money back. Thanks for your time.

Desired Outcome

The company need to stop this *** ad. right now. Refund the money back.
