To whom it may concern,I have made an implant supported denture for *** about years ago that she was very happy withUnfortunately due to the lack of bone support and poor oral hygiene, she has lost some of her implants, she got some other implants and came to me for a new
denture.After explaining to her the options with the risks and benefits, she agreed to have a hybrid appliance on the upper.The procedure started and I worked with a very prominent lab and everything was fineOn the sportion of her teeth, she was very picky and was not happy with the set up and we tried at least 6-different set-ups.Because both of us were frustrated with the lab, I explained to *** that if you want the exact set up, I will send the case to the lab whom made the first denture and she agreedI talked with another lab, that is very well known too, and they agreed to finish it up.Again she was not happy with the teeth set up (she wanted the same teeth as her daughter's natural teeth)I drove with her all the way to the lab in neighboring state and finally she was happy with the teeth set upAfter the case was finished, she said she does not like the denture and I did not want to continue with herShe said she saw another dentist and they promised her a better dentureI told her O.K, you can go and I will give you the money that you paid me.She came back and insisted that, because she is happy with the last denture, I put abutments on the implants and retrofit the denture.I did not want to do that but she was begging and she said she can not get a job because of her teeth and she wanted me to help her.I ordered the necessary components and before I could do the job, I asked her four times if she is sure about doing this, and she said yes.I inserted the abutments and retrofit her denture and she left very happy.I returned the money that she paid me for the new dentureI just charged her for the abutments and not for my time for retrofitting.After few weeks, she called me and said , she is going with the other dentist and wants me to pay back her moneyI explained to her that she agreed for the abutments and that is what I charged her for,I have spent more than $10,on the impression copings, abutments, and lab fees on this case, plus at least hours of my and my employees time.Anyway I talked to her and I paid some more money back to her and she left happy.Please let me know if any other information is neededThanks Dr*** ***
