I am making a response to the consumer's complaint # ***1) The consumer is correct and justified in his complaint that I did not get his house done this yearEven so, I would like to give my explanation of my reasons; in which the
customer touched upon.1)While working on other exterior projects we ran into major carpentry work that needed to be done before we could paint.Such as rotted windows,siding,decks, and even walls and chimney'sMy company does not only prepand paint exterior's, we also restore areas that need fixing so that the paint job will last.This year was particularly bad for need of restoration.i.e one $13,bid turned into $33,job and a $bid turned into a $21,jobThis is the major reason why I did not honor the contractThat said, I did tell the customer we would do his exterior the Spring do to the Cold weather setting in.I told him in my estimation his cedar house would not be adversely affected if it sat through the winterHe refused my offer and said he would get a person in St.Peter who had bid it earlier to do the jobI apologized and that was the end of our conversationIn hindsight, I should have communicated more often on the status of his project
