We confirmed that the loan was paid off as described in the customer's response. We will take her recommendation about communication training under advisement. From our perspective, the case was closed satisfactorily for the customer and the complaint was without meritAs stated in our first response, if the member still wants to stop doing business with PrimeWay, she merely needs to come to a branch and the remaining amounts in her account will be given to her as soon as all the checks she has written have cleared. Mr. [redacted] has been contacted in regards to his complaint. PrimeWay's bill payment processor at this time does not have the system capability to process Mr. [redacted]'s payment as he would like. Several other options have been offered to Mr. [redacted], however he does not wish to use these options. This process...

has been discussed with Mr. [redacted] in the past. His credit card has been credited with the $2.59 interest refund.The credit union is reviewing the option that Mr. [redacted] would like with another processor at this time. The results will be analyzed to see if the option can be implemented at a later date.

dates were July 9 and August 9 in the amount of $64.84 per month. The customer made no payments by the dates required and consequently the loan was delinquent for both months. Our collection group took the appropriate action permitted under the agreement and brought the loan up to date by transferring $127.90 on August 29 from the customer’s checking account to the loan. The customer stated that the she was told that PrimeWay had exercised the right of offset and money was taken from the checking account without her permission. The customer is incorrect in this statement. Both the membership agreement and the loan disclosure documents expressly provide for the right of offset should a customer fail to make a timely payment on their loan. PrimeWay had the legal right to transfer the funds, and it appears that the customer did not completely read the disclosure provided to her at the time of loan closing. As for the payment made by the customer on August 30, this amount was applied to the payment due September 9 and the customer will not be required to make another loan payment until October 9. We are sorry that the customer was confused as to how the funds were applied to her loan, but PrimeWay acted well within its rights in order to protect the assets of its membership and insure the collectability of the loan. If the member still wishes to close her PrimeWay account, she merely needs to come to a branch, pay off the loan balance, and the remaining amounts in her account (after all checks have cleared) will be given to her.
