I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Here is my response to Primeway Movers reply to my Revdex.com complaint, which was received last week after waiting months: PM: We apologize for the miscommunicationOur office staff is only able to waive the fee for flight of stairs***: My contract says that fee for stairs was waivedPM violated their contractPM: As far as the additional charges: reclining sofas and loveseats always carry a Bulky Item chargeThey may not have been accurately described to the sales representative assisting you, but we’ve taken steps to ensure our representatives are able to clarify things of this nature in the future***: I described the two reclining sofas very clearly and the office rep chose to reflect them on the contract as “sofa beds”, which, I would think, are also “bulky items”, so the price included in the estimate should not have been increased by the movers, on site, on moving dayPM: As far as the office staff being unreachable while the crew was on-site, we understand your frustrationDuring the peak of season, which is when your move occurred, the office staff is typically overwhelmed with callsThey do try their best to answer and/or return every call***: The coordination and communication, (texting), between the movers and the office, on moving day, is a well-orchestrated scam to jack up the price when they know that the customer is committed to the moveThe office rep conveniently answered the phone after we agreed, under duress, to pay the extra chargesI have witnesses that will support this claimThe Binding Moving Estimate, which was emailed to and electronically signed by you, stating you read and agreed to the terms, lays out what is considered an additional charge***: I will be filing a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General’s Office and requesting that they investigate this company’s unethical business practices, as detailed in my original complaint.

Movers cancelled the move by leaving our apartment without moving anything after we did not immediately accept an unreasonably higher price than previously agreedThey have abruptly left without an explanation and without moving anything from our apartmentWe can not cancel a service if there is no intent to provide it in the first placeTherefore, the company's response to our complaint doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to process a refund. Mrs. [redacted] called the office and cancelled the move while the foreman was waiting to see if the charges were accepted, or if you all would leave the items causing the additional charges. The Binding Moving Estimate, which was...

emailed to and electronically signed by you, stating you read and agreed to the terms, also advised of this. Because Mrs. [redacted] cancelled the services, after reading and electronically signing that she knew she would be unable to receive a refund if she cancelled, the deposit will not be refunded.Respectfully,PrimeWay Movers Customer Satisfaction Dept
