Fell for the same scam
Just like everyone else, I fell for the only pay shipping, then was charge $49.99. Of course I don't have the original packaging so I can't send it back.

Complete scam! I received a pop-up message on my phone offering a FREE gift for answering a survey about my Amazon experience.

I took the survey and was offered several products for FREE, I was only obligated to pay to ship of $9.95.

I went through several pages of additional offers before I reached the final page where I was again shown my FREE gift. I am always suspicious of any free offers and never reply to the text's I get but this time for some reason I responded. I scanned each page carefully for the "catch", but found none.

My bank card was charged $9.95 and the product I chose, a Tactical Flashlight, arrived in about three days.

About two weeks later I noticed a charge on my bank card for $49.99. I discovered that it came from Primitive Survivors.

I called my bank and they gave me their numbers for Customer Support. I called them to ask why my card was charged and I was informed that it was a 15-day trial and since I did not send them back I was charged the two charges $49.99 and $34.95.

I told them it was shady marketing and I wanted a refund.

They told me I needed an AMR # and to send it back with the original packaging. And to have the RMA# on the outer packaging.

But they did say I had to pay a re-stock fee, and do not pay for any return shipping.

BEWARE OF THIS UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS! 5 NEGATIVE STARS FOR THEM!

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I DID unsubscribe to this company, in fact I NEVER signed up for their website I appreciate the fact that they unsubscribed me, but are dishonest in their response Sincerely, [redacted]

To Whom it Concerns, After careful review of [redacted] ***'s history we were able to identify that he took advantage of the Free flashlight, only pay shipping and handling promotion He complete this promotion on 5/20/at 7:18am PSTUpon the purchase, he selected the flashlight bundle which costs the user $shipping and handling He also paid for the warranty of the flashlight that he purchased on 5/20/ On 6/1/his product was submitted into our return department As the terms and conditions clearly state, shipping and handling fees are non refundable as well as warranty fees are non refundable items [redacted] had returned the flashlights, with no RMA # so he was never in contact with either phone support or email support to issue the return back [redacted] opened the package and submitted the package to be returned. On 6/1/there was a $refund initiated back to [redacted] out of courtesy By by terms and conditions which he agreed upon when claiming the promotion, refunds with no RMA are subject to a no refund, as well as shipping and handling and warranty purchases The flashlights were in great condition when returned, so the rep was courteous enough to refund 80% of the shipping and handling fee This was done so against company policy and against the terms that [redacted] had agreed to; however, since the flashlights were in good condition a partial refund was given

Complete scam! I received a pop-up message on my phone offering a FREE gift for answering a survey about my Amazon experience. I took the survey and was offered several products for FREE, I was only obligated to pay shipping of $5.99. I went through several pages of additional offers before I reached the final page where I was again shown my FREE gift. I am always suspicious of any free offers so I scanned each page carefully for the "catch", but found none.
My bank card was charged $5.99 and the product I chose, a HL201 Tactical Headlamp, arrived in about three days.
About two weeks later I noticed a charge on my bank card for $49.99. I discovered that it came from Primitive Survivors. Before I called them I looked for similar lamps and discovered many on Amazon for sale at average prices of $18.00.
I called PS to return the product for a refund. I was informed that they do not give full refunds. They give only partial refunds, charge a re-stock fee, and do not pay for any return shipping. After much arguing they finally agreed to refund $24.99. This is still $7.00 more than Amazon sells similar products for, and would have given free shipping had I exceeded a $25 order. Basically I could have gotten two headlamps for slightly more than one lamp cost through this scam. I ended up keeping the headlamp, as it didn't make sense pay to return, pay to re-stock, and receive only part of a refund, not including the $5.99 I'd already paid for shipping this FREE $50 piece of Chinese made trash. I ended up paying $25, plus $5.99 shipping, or $30.99 for what I believe is an $18 product.
Even customer service reps are aware of the scam, as they are well rehearsed in the speech they give upon hearing complaints. BEWARE OF THIS UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS! 5 NEGATIVE STARS FOR THEM!

they tried to fk me too! thank goodness for my bank detecting $49.00 charge on a sunday night. they rejected cfharge and cancelled my debit card immediately! This company Sucks

Primitive survivor.com. are scammers. I purchased a flashlight from them and a one time purchase and find out 9 months later that they have been withdrawing 34 dollars every month since! I never authorized that. I call my bank, they get primitive survivor on a 3 way call with me. All they are offering me oh s a 50% refund on my last month that they charged me. I kept complaining telling them that this was predatory of them to trick me into a subscription. Then they offer me a refund for the last 2 months!, but they've been billing me for the last nine months so it's really hardly nothing compared to what I've lost in money. I continued to complain and tell them that I was tricked and I will let everybody know about this then she put me on hold and told me that she was going to file a report to upper management to see if they can get me a refund, I know it's not going to happen. Be careful with these people there scammers

These people are thieves and should be criminally prosecuted. I was trying to help Amazon and completed their survey(never again on any surveys). I was offered a "free gift" for my participation and chose the flashlight only agreeing to pay S &H or $4.95. I received two flashlights and my M/C was billed for two $4.95. They are excellent flashlights so I said so be it let it go. Then in reviewing my next M/C statement, in addition to the two $4.95 charges there were two additional charges of $34.95 and $49.99 from this company for some unknown and not explained "services or merchandise" which I never agreed to. Apparently this whole "free flashlight" deal was a ruse to get my credit card number. M/C asked me the routine question had I contacted the merchant. Of course I responded I had not and do not intend to, nor did I intend to pay them this mystery amounts. I asked did they not have a fraud dept and they answered that they did but the only way that this person said that she could involve them was to cancel my card and issue me a new card, different number etc. I said "do it!" since they had no authorization from me to charge my card for anything other than the S & H on the flashlights, and that constitutes fraud. Hopefully the only thing that this cost me is the frustration of having to issue a new card. Reviews of these people are all very similar. Why they are allowed to continue to operate is a mystery.

Buyer beware of the Primative Survivors XT808 flashlight marketing scam. The marketing was through Amazon where the flash light was offers for a crazy price of FREE, just pay 4.95 shipping and get another free for the same amount. Unfortunately there is a sucker born every minute and I’m writing about it now.
One month later, I get hit with a whopping 85$ bill for two flashlights that are available at Harbor Freight for around 9 bucks.
I called and complained about this scam and they somehow managed to refund me 20$ just because I was unhappy and they did not want bad publicity. Too bad. Do not buy this product , it’s a complete ripoff and to market it this way shows what kind of company trhis is

+9

Buyer beware this company will rip you off they use deceptive advertisement to send you products for just the shipping and then the next time you get your credit card statement look out. This company PRIMITIVE SURVIORS is a bad company that should be shut down just read some of the reviews they take money from hard working people. William

They rip you off. Free flashlight just pay shipping. Supposedly in Terms and Conditions after 14 days they charge you 34.95 and TacLight another 49.99. They are same company just different phone nos. Pure and simple they are stealing from people.

I have received numerous voice mails from Primitive Survivor concerning a flashlight offer they seem to think I am interested in. I am not. The message states they will keep calling me until I call back and ask to be unsubscribed. I have never heard of this company or this type of annoying marketing approach, which I suspect is illegal. I never subscribed or agreed to them calling me with any offers. The constant calling is very annoying. I am on a do not call list, but I guess disreputable companies don't care about that.

To Whom it Concerns,Upon looking over *** ***'s order it appears that she did take advantage of the Free Flashlight plus shipping and handling promotion we were running As each customer takes advantage of this promo, they are immediately offered a chance to join Survivor Club As
she stated she got the survival bracelet which was a gift that she recieved for joing Survivor Club The $transaction she is referring to is automatically voided when the customer decides they want the gift, so that charge was never reflected into her bank or credit card statement Taking advantage of the survival bracelet gift is an option, not a mandatory thing a customer is forced to buy *** states that the Survivor Club membership is only disclosed in the terms in conditions, but that statement is false It's also listed in the same page that she decided to claim the gift on I have attached a screenshot of the web page where she claimed the survival bracelet gift. She is correct with membership fees They are non refundable items because as a member, each person is eligible to receive a 25% discount off any purchase done on our store front Because it is not an item that is received but a discount, any previous membership fees cannot be refunded However ***'s membership was cancelled on the day she confronted us about the charges

To whom it concerns,We thoroughly reviewed ***'s caseOn 3/*** came on our website to take advantage of our free flashlight + shipping & handling promotion He selected the flashlight bundle which is what explains the bigger charge for the shipping and handling fee
During this period *** also decided to take advantage of the 5-in-survival bracelet gift which is where he became enrolled into Survivor Club All the terms of the monthly membership and billing is clearly listed on the page where *** claimed the gift The monthly terms were not hidden on any other page, but clearly displayed where *** placed his order.*** doesn't contact us until 7/where he calls our toll free customer support to address the monthly charges It appears *** got billed for months for Survivor Club, as the rep clearly explained During this time he was issued a refund for the month that he placed the call to address the charges He never requested previous months to be refunded during the call At this time, we're willing to refund an additional months out of the months that was billed out of courtesy Once we confirmation from the customer that this is okay, we'll issue it immediately

To whom it concerns, The story the customer is telling isn't fully accurate regarding his case and his transactionsCustomer originally placed his order on 4/25/17, where he paid for the shipping and handling charge for free flashlights Upon completing the shipping and handling
purchase, the customer was immediately offered a one time promotion where he could claim a 5-in-Survival Bracelet By claiming the bracelet, the user was enrolled into Survivor Club, which is where the monthly reoccurring charge occurs The page where he claims the bracelet gives a detailed a breakdown as well as explains that users will be billed a monthly fee for Survivor club Survivor club is an active membership that allows users to receive 25% off our entire store front off any purchase All the terms and billing disclosures are clearly listed on the page, NOT only nested in terms and conditions but clearly underneath the Yes order now button.*** had called customer service on 5/7/only to address tracking his package, he never once mentioned the membership fee Fast forward months, *** calls our toll free support on 6/15/at 3:31pm PST, this is the time frame when he confronts our company about the membership charges During this call, the membership fee was cancelled per his request, but the rep denied the refund Due to the nature of the membership, membership fees are non refundable items By being a member they get extreme discounts off our store, so we restrict membership fees from being refundable This was clearly explained to the customer during the call.*** had sufficient information presented to him regarding the monthly membership, also known as Survivor Club He has sufficient time to call in and cancel before any membership fees occurred, but this customer never proceeded to do so

To whom it concerns,We will be issuing refunds for all membership fees, but not issuing refund for the flashlights The customer has had the flashlights for many months and never once called customer support or emailed customer support regarding a return or correcting what the original
quantity of order is We will be issuing $which is the total amount for the months the user paid for a Survivor Club membership
