To whom it may concern:On August 8, *** *** came and spoke to me the owner regarding the issue with her *** *** ***She proceeded to explain to me what happened with her car and I told her I would have my mechanic look into the issueWhen my mechanic inspected the ***
he realized the fans for the radiator were no staying onIf he tapped on it, it would go on but proceed to shut offWhen her car was initially worked on the fans were working percentWhenever my mechanics do a water pump they always make sure that the fans operate before we call the customer and let them know the car is doneIf the fans do not operate then all the work the mechanic does gets ruinedTherefore we would not let the car leave until everything is working properly*** picked up her car we even made her wait an extra hour to make sure everything was okay with the fan and car and made sure the antifreeze levels were filiiTherefore, her *** was in working condition, fans running and allI proceeded to tell *** that the issue with her car is not the water pump, but with her fan, which we have no control over her fan is an electrical fan and can go out at any timeI do not believe that the car was hardly driven as she stated*** refused to believe that the water pump we installed was the issue with her *** to begin withThe radiator fan is ran by a sensor and is an electric motor, the fan then cools down the radiator which keeps the engine coolThe water pump circulates the water in the motor so it can circulate the antifreeze in the motorThe fan went out and it happens***s initial complaint about her *** was that she was not able to drive it more than a mile without it overheatingShe had the car for more than nine days in which I am sure she drove more than one mileWhich would mean that we fixed the initial issueIf the water pump was not the issue she would not have been able to drive away from my business without the *** overheatingI did not charge her to diagnose her car once she brought it in on the 8th or when she brought it in the first time and I told her that if she bought the fan I would have my mechanic put it on for her for freeAs a good faith gesture I wanted to help her out So I did not want to charge her to put the part onI cannot control when another part in a car fails so that is why I told *** she would have to pay for the partI would not be making any money out of the job nor would my mechanicI am not in the business to rip my customers of *** clearly Stated in her complaint that I did not offer her anything to help with her issue, which is completely falseI am willing to fix the new issue which is her fan with no labor costs to her, but she has to pay for the new partIf it was parts we installed, we would have replaced everything for free no questions asked, but it is a completely different part that failedA part that my mechanic nevereven touchedHe just made sure the fan was working before we let her take the ***On the initial repair I gave her a day warranty on our work but in this case it is something else that failed, not the water pumpIf decided to return, she will have to pay for the part.Orbando D

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I [redacted] am writing in response to the statement that Orlando D[redacted] has submitted to Revdex.com in regards to my complaint against Primos Auto Repair I am extremely upset and unsatisfied with the level of service provided by Primos Auto Repair. My vehicle was taken in on 7/29/2016, it was returned to me 7/30/2016 with what I believe to have been a misdiagnosis, resulting in $300 worth of unnecessary repairs. The cause of the vehicle overheating was the Radiator fan, it had nothing to do with the water pump, thermostat, or any of the parts I was billed for. My argument is simple, I took my vehicle to him with an overheating issue, my vehicle was returned to me with the same overheating issue, it was never fixed! Orlando D[redacted] states that I had the vehicle for more than 9 days after he made repairs to it, this is not accurate, I picked up my car from him on 7/30/2016,  not counting the days when the business was closed 7/31/2016 and 7/07/2016 it was actually only 7 days. Furthermore, I did not discover the vehicle was still overheating because during that week I honestly did not drive my vehicle for more than a mile until Sunday 8/07/2016. He stated that he did not believe that the car was hardly driven during that time, I have no reason to be dishonest. I currently am employed by [redacted], who is willing to attest that I do not and did not drive my vehicle to work during the entire week of 08/01/2016 thru 08/05/2016 as I do carpool with a co worker [redacted] who is also willing to vouch that fact as well. They may be reached at [redacted] New Holland PA [redacted] telephone number ; ###-###-#### shall any questions arise.Orlando also claims that the fan was was a part that his mechanic never even touched. I am no mechanic but I would think that the cooling fan is a major component to the radiator system and is something that would be considered when diagnosing an overheating issue. I would have not known after taking my vehicle from his repair shop on 7/30/2016 that it was still overheating, at that time I drove out of Primos Auto Repair on [redacted] Lancaster Pa, directly to my residence at [redacted] Lancaster Pa which is not a very far distance at all It may . He claims the fan was working at the time when I picked up my vehicle , but there was no way of me telling the vehicle would overheat until I actually sought out to take a trip the following Sunday 8/07/2016, I drove from my residence to [redacted], Lancaster Pa, approximately 7.0 miles at that time I had to pull over because the car began to smoke, when I opened the hood I noticed there was no fluid in the reservoir for antifreeze. I had no choice but to take it back to Primos auto the following business day which was Monday the 8th of August, causing me to miss a full work day.in addition I  would like to clarify that Orlando did indeed offer to put the fan on with no labor cost but that I would be responsible to pay for the part, as he claims he offered that in good faith, I declined the offer as I refused to pay him one more dollar. I feel as that he should have honored any additional repairs/parts at that point, his shop was the last place my vehicle was worked on.I feel very disappointed, and I do feel like I was charged for repairs my vehicle did not need. I am a single working parent and I work very hard to make ends meet, $300 dollars are not easy for me to come by and as a "good faith" gesture I feel Orlando should have repaired the issue at no cost to me, he has no idea how much grief that caused me. Fortunately, with the help of a family member who provided the labor  I was able to replace the fan on 8/12/2016,  Unfortunately it cost me an additional $108.00In conclusion, I am still seeking a partial refund, as I will never conduct any business with Primos Auto Repair and or any affiliates. I will not defame him as an individual or his business but I will share my experience openly with anyone inquiring or considering to take their business to his establishment.  Regards,
