I am rejecting this response because: The response to our complaint against Primrose School of Reynoldsburg is not only disappointing but very upsetting I thank God my daughter is no longer at Primrose School of Reynoldsburg The owner was right, this was not the school for herBefore Primrose our daughter spent two weeks at a childcare facility and NEVER once complained of being bullied We decided to pull her from the school because they offered play based learning and we felt our daughter was bored and a structured curriculum would help her transition into a facility and help with her socialization skills The previous facility can validate this information, not once did we have any issues with bullying We never told Primrose we had issues with bullying at another facility, that is a lie! We informed the assistant director we were looking for more of a curriculum based school for our daughterWe also were up front and informed her our daughter is the only child and very shy and needed help with her socialization skills This did not have to be observed inside the classroom, this was informed upfront from day one I'm just glad our daughter is out of the schoolNo dollar amount equates to her safety

In response to the customer complaint, the Primrose School of Reynoldsburg has met its obligations to
the needs of the children and the SchoolThe complainant came to us from another center where they
felt like their child was being bulliedWe welcomed them with open arms into our
Primrose family and
made sure that the Primrose policies and procedures were discussed at the time of enrollmentThere
were many instances beginning in April that the complainant brought to our attention regarding specific
complaints from their childEach one was investigated by the director and the teachers and none of the
allegations were substantiatedSome instances such as the one from May 7,were described with
children that were nowhere near the complainant's child or even in the same classroomIt is important to
this school that we remain in constant communication with our families and that we discuss every
situationsAlthough none of the described occurrences were ever substantiated, we continued to look
into all complaints
Observations were completed by the director and curriculum coordinator on the classroom, teachers and
specific studentNothing abwas witnessed with the exception that complainant's child was a little
more reserved than the other children Our findings were reported back to the complainant after every
observation and every investigation In any school setting, particularly as children are younger they are
learning to interact with other children It is our job as teachers to help them and guide them in a positive
way We ask for our children to use their words and to voice when another child is bothering them We
make them feel safe and discuss appropriate behaviors each morningAt Primrose positive guidance is
our primary method of managing behavior By using positive acknowledgement of specific behaviors,
positive instruction, redirection, proper choices, talk it out or conflict resolution, allowing children to voice
their frustration, we help children to cope with their feelings and make better choices If a child is seen
hurting another child or themselves they may be removed from the group for a period of time It is very
important to us at the Primrose School of Reynoldsburg that children are not hurting any of their friends
and that we communicate negative behaviors with both children's parents as to what happened and how
we addressed the situation
The meeting with the owner was to further discuss how we handle discipline and behavior concerns at the
schoolThe philosophy and policies described above were discussed and it was suggested that the family
reflect on whether this school was the best fit for their familyThe school and management felt that we
have done the best to address every concern and at this time if they do not feel that the
Primrose positive way of discipline was appropriate then we may not be the right fitWe welcome every
family but some find that we are not able to meet their needsIt was that day that the parent called the
director to inform her that they had made decision together to no longer return to Primrose We
accepted their decision and waived the contractual week notice as a courtesyIt was the complainant's
decision and was never forced
The desired settlement is not accepted as the school has done everything to possible support the family
including waiving a contractual week notice

proper notice. As it describes in our parent handbook,” If you find it necessary to withdraw your child for any reason, you must submit a written notice two full weeks prior to withdrawing to the school Leadership Team prior to the withdrawal date. No partial weeks are recognized for notices. The written notice must include the following information, date of submission of the notice, last date child will attend, reason for withdrawal. Please note: All tuition and related classroom fees are due and payable for the notice period.” The complainant did have a copy of these statements and did sign off that she understood and had received the handbooks. The notice as needed above was never submitted nor was there further communication in regards to the complainant leaving. The complainant’s son last attended day was 11/23/16. Upon receiving her phone call on 11/30/16 questioning why she was billed for the current week, we described that we had not received proper documentation. She later sent an e-mail that she would like to retroactively receive the two week notice. While we could not do that, the owner did waive one week for her and left her responsible to pay the week of 11/30/16. The school and management felt that we have done the best to address every concern that she had during her son’s enrollment here. The desired settlement is not accepted as the school has done everything to possible support the family including waiving a contractual 2 week notice. The Primrose School of Reynoldsburg

I am rejecting this response because: The response to our complaint against Primrose School of
Reynoldsburg is not only disappointing but very upsetting.  I thank God my daughter is no longer at
Primrose School of Reynoldsburg.  The
owner was right, this was not the school for her.
Before Primrose our daughter spent two weeks at a childcare
facility and NEVER once complained of being bullied.  We decided to pull her from the school
because they offered play based learning and we felt our daughter was bored and
a structured curriculum would help her transition into a facility and help with
her socialization skills.  The previous
facility can validate this information, not once did we have any issues with
bullying.  We never told Primrose we had
issues with bullying at another facility, that is a lie!
We informed the assistant director we were looking for more
of a curriculum based school for our daughter. We also were up front and
informed her our daughter is the only child and very shy and needed help with
her socialization skills.  This did not
have to be observed inside the classroom, this was informed upfront from day
one.
I'm just glad our daughter is out of the school. No dollar
amount equates to her safety.
