Review: I brought in my late mother's emerald and diamond ring to be sized in August of 2012. Within a day, I received a phone message, which I still have on my cell phone from the clerk who took my ring for sizing. Her name was [redacted] (not sure of spelling). She rambled on and on about how my ring was a total mess and had to be repaired. When I brought the ring in to be sized, it was in perfect condition. I quickly went to the store and picked up my ring and could not believe how they had destroyed it!! I could not believe what was done to my rcently departed mother's prize possession!! There was glue all over the setting and the emerald had a crack that had not been there or it would have been noted on the claim check. I just took the ring and left the store without even a copy of any paperwork. I had to take the ring to [redacted] Jewelers on [redacted], to restore it and this cost me about $800 but they did a very good job and did note the chip in the emerald. in really was too upset to write until now, but I feel this should be reported so this does not happen to anyone else. I would like the owner to be notified and a note made on file against this store for the problems and also the money this cost me to correct their horrible and destructive work on my precious ring. I have the receipt from [redacted] Jewelers for the work they had to do to restore my ring.Desired Settlement: I want, as stated above, the owner notified of this issue and would like to have a complaint issued against this jewerly store for its utter horrible destruction of my ring, and in addition the $800 this cost me to repair their damage.
