Thank you for your letter dated June 23, 2015. Hope [redacted] purchased 2 rings from us with order number. See Attached document [redacted].
We received an email from the customer on 5/19/2015 Please see "Confidential...

Notes" green highlighted. He mentioned that the rings are beautiful except the size. He took them to a local jeweler and sized them and payed $130.00.; where clearly it says in our Company Warranty Policy "if another jeweler other than WeddingBands.com alters the rings then we cannot guarantee the workmanship. Please see the link http://www.weddingbands.com/Guarantee.asp 4th and 5th paragraphs. The Company Policy also is attached as a document. See attachment "Our Guarantee"
Customer asked to be reimbursed for the $130.00 that he paid to his jeweler. He provided us an invoice and he was credited for that amount on 6/3/2015. Please see the transactions records attached as jpg image named Credit[redacted].jpg, Credit[redacted]Detail-1.jpg and Credit[redacted]Detail-2.jpg.
On 6/2/2015 we changed our Credit Card Processor Company from Elavon to PayPal Processor. That probably caused some delay in processing Mr. [redacted]'s credit; even though customer was credited by our company on 6/3/2015. There is a possibility that the credit was not processed on time by the Credit Card Company and/or Card Processing Company.
As far as WeddingBands.com we did everything possible to help and make our customer (Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]) happy.
We will be glad to extend our lifetime warranty to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] wedding bands even though they were altered by another jeweler. The reason of voiding the warranty when a third party alters the rings is we cannot be responsible for a work that is done by another jeweler without our recommendation and knowledge. That principal is also for the protection of our customers.
I believe you also will agree with us not to take wedding rings that have been altered by another jeweler back; especially after we agreed and credited $130.00 to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] for a sizing that was not done by WeddingBands.com and was not recommended by WeddingBands.com.
We also cannot credit more money than we took ($1072.00-$130.00=$942.00).

I finally received the $130 credit today 7/1. It took 6 weeks, multiple emails and opening this case to receive this promised credit. I had to continually contact them and they provided no follow up at all.
While I may have been initially happy with the way the items looked, I am certainly not happy with the company, their processes and their follow through on written promises.
Although I have finally received the $130 credit, I would still like to return these items and be credited the remaining $942 of my purchase price. I simply have no faith in this company.
