Review: Pringle & Sons was one of the worst and most frustrating experiences I ever had with a company. When I would call I would be asked to follow up with an email. I actually like to have everything in writing. The problem was I would NEVER get a response. I then had to spend more time following up with phone calls I didn't have time for. Half of my questions were still never answered. My husband called the day before our move, because we hadn't heard from Pringle & Sons, to make sure we were scheduled for the correct time. We weren't. On the day of the move, the movers arrived 2 1/2 hours late. They even told us they hadn't had a job before ours. I was told about the special way they wrap furniture and was shown pictures of wrapped, padded and protected furniture. Nothing of ours was wrapped. I would have supplied materials if I hadn't been told it was part of the deal. Instead, my couch cushions and pillows were drug on the ground and through filth. Fabric was ripped off chairs and there are scratches and gouges all over our furniture. A leg was smashed off one table. The movers showed little concern. In fact, one mover asked if the leg might have been loose, ignoring it was clearly busted. Things happen during moves, but friends (most of whom have used movers many times) were surprised by the state of our furniture after Pringle & Sons got done with it. Dollies were piled high and toppled over. Even after we asked them not to, our heaviest boxes and belongings were piled on our non-weight-bearing pieces of furniture. One of our movers admitted he didn't look at the job sheet before he came and didn't have the correct materials. The inventory list I was asked for was never looked at. That was obvious by the fact that the movers couldn't move our TVs and other belongings since they didn't have materials. The move took forever. It didn't help that one of the movers was on his phone most of the time he was on our job. The initial bill rate was more than the quoted rate. It took more than 3 weeks and several attempts to get a response about our experience. [redacted] Pringle told me other customers had similar experiences at about the same time. He gave me the name of an employee who had been fired (who was not on our job) and other sensitive company info, but he tried to blame me. [redacted] couldn't even figure out who was on our job, nor did he have a record of what we paid. Over the course of a couple months, I continued to contact [redacted] and would wait for replies that took weeks. We came to an agreement and I thought things were ending amicably. [redacted] Pringle and Pringle & Sons did not live up to that agreement and they discontinued contact.Desired Settlement: We had agreed on a refund of $255, much less than what we paid. I would still be willing to settle for what we agreed upon.
