Priority 1 Electric Reviews (4)

Review: Priority 1 electric sent someone over 2 guys in a big hurry with no licence proof and no proof of identity who they were. The big guy came in with no name stated they will be back to my home to do the job Thursday. I asked them for the price and they said they will contact me the next day. No call no price the next day. I contacted the office no call back with the price. Thursday no show no call on this date 1-16-14. I left several messages a rude lady name [redacted] stated so they were out of town. So we are still going to charge you I asked for their license and [redacted]. Told Me no....I am filling a complaint called several times and she keeps hanging up on me.Priority 1 electric [redacted] said she will charge me any way for no job done. I have proof from [redacted] she sent me a invoice without the business license on it. She keepshanging up on me I contacted the office and left several messages for the owner. She stated he doesn't want to talk to me. Very bad business..Desired Settlement: I would like for her to stop sending me nasty letters and to not charge me for a job not done.Which was $47.50.

Please see the attached documents. We have tried many times to correspond with Ms. [redacted] and each time we speak to her, she has a different story. I noticed her complaint to you states nothing about the complaints she was calling us about other than not wanting to pay her bill.

I live in Elk Grove and I called out this company to install an exhaust fan in my master bathroom and figure out why my outdoor lights were not working properly. This company came out the same day I called them and the electrician that came to my house was very helpful and really new what he was doing. He fixed all my problems and now I am a happy camper!! If you are looking for an electrician in the Sacramento area, call these guys - you won't regret it.

Review: I contacted Priority 1 electric through a referral from [redacted]. I was contacted by them for an appointment. At no time when I spoke with the person did she mention a $47.50 payment just for an assessment of the work to be completed. I also was writing her on email and I made the statement that it sounds like a plan in response to her verifying my 11:00 appt. requested. I made that statement at 9:50 a.m.. I did not return to my email after that time frame.Apparently the office manager sent another email with the information hidden in the third paragraph stating that you had to pay for them to come out. I did not see it.See copy, this was at 10:33 am. I was shocked when the electrician told me I owed him $47.50 , especially when he was quoting me $1300.00 to install six recess lights .I selected another contractor that charged me $545.00 and installation was completed in one hour or less. I received a threatening invoice, Oct. 1 from Priority with their selection of emails put in the order they chose to validate their case. They neglected to look at the entry times. My complaint is. Not everyone sits in front of their home computer and once I spoke with the person in the office their pay process should have been confirmed and not assumed. I don't know anyone that pays for nothing these days. I did pay the $47.50, but still feel this is a terrible rip off way to do business and their lack of business processes should be addressed to protect the consumer, not to mention that they assume when they send the notification email that it doesn't go to spam or is not read. I await your reply.Desired Settlement: I would like my $47.50 returned. I only paid because I am an honest person and do not want to be viewed as not paying my debtors. This company came in way too high for the project and I feel that being guaranteed payment does not encourage competitive bidding and I was not properly notified.

This complaint is invalid

[redacted] contacted us via email to schedule her appointment. She had responded from an email I sent her at 7:33 AM. Original email attached. You will notice that there are NO HIDDEN fees in the email. It clearly states that we charge a travel and diagnostic fee of $47.50.

Ms. [redacted] NEVER called our office as stated in her complaint, she only used email. If she had called our office, she would have been told exactly the same as what was emailed to her.

She also sent you a copy of an email sent to her at 10:33 AM. This email was sent by me but I did not send it through our email system. It was sent through [redacted] email. When a customer contacts our company, I send our standard email as I did for Ms [redacted] at 7:33 AM. For [redacted] leads, I also send the same email through their email system which was done at 10:33 AM. Again, the email sent through [redacted] being the same as the one sent at 7:33 AM clearly states there is a fee of $47.50 to send out an electrician.

I have made screen prints of all email correspondences sent to Ms. [redacted]. Each email that was sent shows time of correspondence along with her response. Also note each time I responded to her email the original email sent at 7:33 AM explaining charges was in the email chain.

It is not our fault she didn’t call our office or read her emails before scheduling. We cannot be held responsible for incompetency.

I have known Don K[redacted] for over 35 years and, for a number of years, actually worked for him as a project estimator. Don has a lot of good points he has integrated into his business, but to keep this comment unbiased I will simply list the negatives:
1. Don is, and has always insisted that his employees be honest. Each of them, from the senior electrician to the person who sweeps the floor is a reflection of Priority-1 and of Don personally. This honesty manifests itself in the quality of materials used, the work performed, and right to the final invoice.
2. I repeatedly "caught" Don in his office reading magazines (before email). He had a habit of keeping current with new products, new ideas and new innovative ways of doing things.
3. I have known Don to decline to meet prices quoted by other electricians because it would require using cheap or shoddy lighting and materials, or by cutting corners on code requirements. There are many ways to use duct tape and bailing wire, but the electrical system in your home or business is NOT the place to use it. Using the best electrician when you have a need is the best investment you can make.
Neither Don K[redacted] nor any other Priority-1 employee Knows I have submitted this review and these comments. As a matter of fact Don and I haven't had an opportunity to speak in many years. I saw his name and that of his business, have both worked for him and have had work done BY his people, and felt I needed to comment, particularly a 20 year old service business that has has ONLY 2 complaints to the Revdex.com.
If a homeowner, property management company or ANY business wants to do business with an HONEST and top-quality electrician then call Don K[redacted] at
Priority-1 Electrical.
