Review: I had a heater (boiler) installed by this company a year ago and have experienced issuesA certified letter was sent requesting reimbursement of funds needed to correct the issues caused by their installation, however, have gone unansweredThe best description of the issues are outlined in the letter which I have sent to Priority Comfort copied below...Dear [redacted]:As previously advised on our phone conversation on February 14, 2014; we experienced an incident in the early morning hours on that date in which our carbon monoxide detector went offThe fire department responded and confirmed the high levels and confirmed the boiler was the sourceWe were unfortunately unable to reach you at that time or later that morning and were therefore forced to call another company for emergency service.Upon servicing and inspecting the unit, it was found the boiler was plugged with soot and that several issues were present which were not up to code and some of which may have precipitated the CO issue, and others that may cause issues in operation, servicing or safety in the futureThe following is a summary of issues with the installation provided by your compahole was present in the flue pipe which confirms a draft test was never performed at time of installation-issue of proper draft may have precipitated the soot collection or identified if system was properly set up so adjustments could be made-Electrodes not adjusted at time of install-still factory set and not gaped properly for proper burn-Expansion tank located directly in front on boiler making it difficult to service and is not properly secured-only held up by two wire ties attached to the systems copper piping-Pressure/temperature blow off valve not piped down to the floit sits nowthe water would shoot directly to the front of the unit-Interior of enclosure not fully wrapped with sheet metal-not up to [redacted] Twp code-Permit not pulled according to [redacted] Twp record which would have brought these issues to light upon inspection -Copper piping installed just inches from the top lid of the boiler-new company had to cut the lid in order to remove for proper cleaningPiping also installed across the boiler front plate making it impossible to service through that access-Shut off switch at the unit is not present-Low water cut off installed in improper locatiair vents present on boiler-Original oil fuel filter assembly present-not changed at time of new unit installDespite the potential of harm in which our family was faced with and continue to be faced with during continued operation as a result of improper installation, we are willing to not seek further action if your company covers the cost of the service already performed to temporarily correct the issue so our family had heat for the rest of this winter and the cost of correcting the other issues to bring everything up to code.Previous service total for 2/13/and 2/14/14$612Upcoming service to correct remaining issues$2873Total expected upon receipt of this letter$3485Thank you in advance for your quick response so this issue can be immediately correctedPlease direct any communication by mail as phone calls will not be takenDesired Settlement: I am requesting the $needed for service provided and corrections that still need to take place to make our boiler safe for operation and up to code
