Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/21) */ [redacted] and [redacted] , Attached are documents regarding the 8-6-hail/wind claim for StJohnsLease check the drop down in the attachment line for all the attachmentsattachments sent to the owner and her adjuster The documents are the: Barnhouse and engineers adjusting report the [redacted] building, (not the full plan for all the building or garages and common elements)It is way too many pages to send via emailSo I sent for the building The settlement agreement between the StJohns Association and Chubb(this settlement was signed because of the statute of limitations with the HOloss assessments, they felt they had no other choice) The contract and addendum pages with Barnhouse between StJohns Wood and the contractor The minutes where the board dictated the amount of the loss assessment to be $12,versus over $23,to make up the difference not paid by Chubb A sheet of questions and answers given to the owners at the annual meeting, in here one owner and attorney asked questions to help with owners explanations and answers to a few more important questions A report dictating why insurance delays adjusting claims The loss assessment invoice The York adjusting, third part adjusting firm hired by York and suspect of purchasing the claim from Chubb dictating claim costs and the settlement amount The insurance policy you already have The claim for can also be placed as $2,as the loss assessment deductible part and $7,of Coverage A, building coverage York's supposed adjustment sheets Please be advised, StJohns Wood Association, the Board of Directors, nor Priority One Management delayed this claim, had any right to adjust (beyond the board of Directors hiring and outside engineer and contractor to adjust the claim and submit as appraisal to Chubb)Chubb is the company that assumedly sold the claim to York, York never did a full adjustment of the claimA settlement was the final step chosen to avoid all expenses coming out of owners pockets, due to Hopolicies having a statute of limitationsAs you can see, management's role is close to being the messenger and the middle man between the Board of Directors and York and Chubb Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/09/22) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I have been billed $12,for which I think should not be charged until the insurance company review the new information and makes a decisionI definitely do not think I should be billed and accrued late fees during this period The HOis suppose to pay the deductible (for which the master policy had a deductible of $10,during the time the hail claim was made)From the documentation sent to me yesterday it also looked like the $also included painting and other things that I think the association master policy should be paying because they are responsible for paying the exterior of the houseThere are several other home owners whose HOcompanies are denying their claimWhy can management have an open discussion with these insurance companies regarding why specifically they are looking for Final Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 11, 2015/10/07) */ I previously responded to this, I think I added too many documents and you did not get itThe complainant and her insurance company have everythingIf needed I can forward you the emails I sent to her insurance company and herI am not attaching all the documentation to the reply, so this reply will be received Date of loss: 8-6- Date of loss assessment 6-1- Master carrier: Chubb Adjusting company: York out of Chicago Claim in full: $3,579, Settlement agreement from Chubb after the association hired a contractor and engineer to adjust the claim and submit to Chubb as appraisal, York never finished adjusting$629, Loss assessment is the master policy deductible and a portion of the amount Chubb never paid Work now completed, full roofs, gutters, and roofing metals Work pending, Painting of the buildings Painting is association responsibility during the general paint cycle, this is an insurance claim so it falls on the master policy holder and the HOLoss assessments amount
