I have had nothing but a good experiance with DEC. My Insurance company not so much but Dec was great after my home was flooded. Everytime I had a problem I got to talk to the person who was overseeing the entire project who acted just like the builder when I was building my house. Did I have to know every sub-contractor that worked on my house NO and why would I want to that was [redacted]'s job and he did it great. Every time I wanted something they made it happen and I didn't have to fight my insurance company who lets face it wanted to pay next to nothing because they were happy to call them. When you go through something horrible the first reaction is to think everyone is out to get you and instead I had people trying to get me back where I was before desaster happened. It is nice to have good people in the world...now if they could just teach insurance companies how to treat people.

Damaged and broke personal belongings in our home. Owner does not have cntrol over his employees. Doesnt know where they are, what they are doing, No overseeing of his workers. Horrible construction, ripped things out and didnt replace, used our garage as storage for molded items that insurance paid them to properly remove. Unacceptable. Our opinion is quite negative of this company.

Stpped work because of our complaints after alm ost 1 month of workâ?¦insisted on a large check because insurance didnt offer enough. DEC signed papers for NO self pay. They lost their copy, we have ours. Insurance was lower than they wanted, came after us.

False advertiising. DEC is NOT a member of DKI.
Call DKI and confirm. yet DEC advertises as a member.
Dishonest and represents the lack of integrity with DEC., in our opinion.

Pictures of the molded items in our garage and written documents are available to Revdex.com.

The drain pipe from the shower on my upstairs bathroom began leaking on 7/18 through the ceiling of the living room on the first floor and onto the carpet. Once the plumber fixed it, he recommended DEC as reputable repair contractors (DO NOT ever make the mistake of listening to one contractor recommend another without doing your own research, they often send business to one another as a mutual business agreement). DEC came the next day and began the repairs, which consisted of cutting out the wet ceiling areas, cutting out the wet carpet pad, and putting drying machines in the living room and upstairs bathroom. Our insurance company came out to assess the damage and work with DEC on a quote for the repairs. The ceiling was repaired and repainted within the next week or so and we are very happy with how it turned out.

Now for the nightmare to begin. The insurance company and DEC argued for the next few weeks about how to best handle the carpet repair in terms of cost and what parts needed replacing. I understand that insurance companies try to minimize cost and contractors try to maximize profits but unfortunately myself as the consumer was left to suffer. It was next to impossible to get updates from DEC throughout the process as there are 4-5 people working on my case and none of them seem to communicate the updates to each other. I would try to get answers from one person and never receive a call back, only to get a call from another person who had no information asking how the project was going.

Once DEC and my insurance company agreed to terms on the carpet, (at the end of August, over 1 month since the incident) we were able to pick out the carpet from the listed options and move forward. We expressed interest in going ahead and replacing the carpet in our master bedroom additionally so that we did not have two types of carpet touching each other. DEC quoted me $1100 out of pocket for a 207 sq ft room to put in medium grade carpet on August 31. I explained that I there is no way it should cost that much and they said they would look into it. Weeks of waiting for an update and finally I hear on September 20th (over 2 months past the incident) that it can be done for less now. Fantastic, how much less? I don't get a new quote until September 27th, but I am fine with the new quote of approximately 600. I tell them to go ahead and order the carpet and we schedule an install day of September 30th. That day comes around and my wife takes a half day at work so she can be home by noon for the carpet installation. Unfortunately the carpet does not come in on time Friday, so we plan for Saturday. I check in with DEC on Saturday and I am told that the carpet delivery is now delayed until Monday. I take off work Monday and that Monday they tell me that the carpet is loaded up and they are on the way.

The first two men to arrive help me move all the living room furniture into the office and begin to cut out the carpet and pad in the living room. The plan is to do one room at a time and move the furniture accordingly. Once the living room carpet is removed, they inform me that the carpet is not ready and they will be back tomorrow. They leave the old carpet in a pile in my grass in the front yard and my living room is now a concrete slab with carpet nails sticking up everywhere. Furious, I call DEC to get this fixed since I am not available tomorrow and my house is left a mess. It turns out the trailer they were using to move the carpet had broken down. This is now around 2:30pm and DEC is supposedly looking for another trailer. I am supposed to be getting updates but of course I have to call every hour to see what is going on. At 530 I am told they were unable to find a trailer and that there is nothing they can do tonight. I recommend they call UHAUL and see if they have trailers, which DEC says they will do and call me back. UHAUL has 12 foot trailers you can rent for 30 dollars that can easily carry the carpet and hook up to any decent sized truck or SUV, but somehow DEC was unable to locate a trailer in the entire city of Birmingham over the course of 3 hours. It is now 720pm and of course DEC never called me back, which is standard for them. Now I am expected to take another day off of work this week to accommodate them.

77 days have gone by since my initial leak and I will spend tonight with my living room a bare piece of concrete and my furniture piled into various rooms of the house. I cannot accept their lack of punctuality in completing their tasks, the unprofessional way they handled this, or their inability to communicate to me. I am tired of taking off work to sit around the house waiting on them and I am sick of calling them trying to find answers.
I will gladly consider removing this when they decide to accept some accountability in this issue, "Go the extra mile", and fix the mess that I have been left with. At this point I shouldn't even be expected to pay for this.

Review: We entered into a leasing agreement with Prism Business Solution on February 26, 2015 for a [redacted] w/RADF, Paper Feed Pedestal, Saddle-Stitch Finisher (folding and stapling capability) & Hole Punch. Copier was delivered with promise to have Saddle-Stitch Finisher and Hole Punch parts delivered in a week or so... as of today, June 16, 2015 these parts have not been delivered and several attempt were made to no avail.

We need help in getting these parts as they are vital to our day to day operation. If Prism is unable to find the parts they contracted with us for they need to replace the machine. As up to last month we are paying and insuring for a machine that we don't have.

Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Thank you - distressed customerDesired Settlement: Receiving parts ordered and leased from Prism Business Solution.
