I took two coaching sessions as well as the Bridging the Gap class with *** as part of a package that Prisma offers. *** is highly knowledgeable about medical interpreting and her teaching style is clear, supportive, and effective. I took her Bridging the Gap class and she really does teach the class so that you know the subject matter like the back of your hand. Her teaching style helps you to reinforce the subject matter, so that you are able to deal with situations that may arise in interpreting. The class is intensive and I feel prepared to take the national CCHI exam this Fall and I am looking forward to it!

In our coaching sessions, we went over strategies for me to get to a higher level in Spanish. What I liked the most was that in addition to giving me suggestions to improve my Spanish, she also analyzed how effective those strategies were and was able to point me in the right direction. After speaking with her, I have had native speakers tell me that they can hear a difference in my speaking abilities. She also provides honest feedback for your ideas which I have found to be valuable. We also reviewed simultaneous interpreting which for me is one of the hardest modes of interpreting. In our coaching session, she proposed different options for difficult situations and guided me through the best approach. She also asks questions to see if you are getting what you want out of the coaching sessions, so that she can help you in the best way possible. She has helped me to feel confident in pursuing a career in medical interpreting. I found her to be very competent and I would not hesitate to recommend her. Prisma International is a great company and I am so glad that I took the Bridging the Gap course and the coaching sessions.

the class was very messy and very bad even the person called Maria is unrespectful and she didn't give me some lesson remaining I wouldn't really recommended , sometimes she give me class just on the phone without webcam and the voice is very bad, also one time she let someone else working with her to give me the session and he was really not qualified and he can't even understand my questions and when in first 5 mins with him I felt I won't be able to continue the session I called her to give my money and she did reimburse me

Excellent Bridging the Gap (healthcare interpreting) training! I learnt a ton over the course of two weekends. The training was fully online and meticulously prepared. I highly recommend it without hesitation to anyone venturing into healthcare interpreting. It also helped me prepare for the CoreCCHI examination.

I learned a lot in this class! The teacher,***, was very knowledgable and definitely know that what I learned will help me in a job! My only complaint is the 10 hour days. After so many hours in class, it can be hard to take in new information. I would suggest spreading the class out more for the benefit of the students.

I took the Bridging the Gap - Interpreter training with Prisma International Co. The class is very comprehensive, the instructor is knowledgeable and includes a good series of audio visual aids. The exercises and role play help you to find your strengths and polish your weakness in a open and safe environment.

Class involved interactive activities, scenarios, practices, video - excellent combination of activities to facilitate Learning!!! Only suggestion would be allowing more time for information absorption - either provide materials ahead of class for review ahead of time, or spread class out across a couple weeks (allow weekend for study). Also excellent incorporation of different target/source languages!

The class was very informative and dynamic. The instructor is very knowledgeable and experienced in the profession. Practices and case studies where the highlight of the class to assure a successful interpreting session with provider and patient. Very please with the results. This was an intensive class and covered 18 lessons in four days. Despite the amount of material, the instructor proactively engaged students through course materials and interactions to make content more understandable and interesting. I would recommend Prisma International to people who are looking at obtaining excellent interpreting training while advancing professional development.
