Privett Electric was hired by Ms*** to do a complete re-wire of her home and bring all of it up to codeThe original price we quoted to Ms*** was an estimate and she was informed of this before the job startedMs*** was fully aware that the original price was NOT a
contracted priceMs*** was also informed before the job started that there might possibly be some sheetrock that would need to be cut to get wire down the wall and properly re-wire the houseShe stated that the crew could cut as much sheetrock as they needed to because she had a handyman coming in to do other repairs in her home after the electricians completed the re-wireThere were TWO switches that needed a little paint and sheetrock repair around themNot ALL the switches needed to be repaired as previously stated in the complaintThe outlets in the house that are no longer useable are ones that the crew could simply not access through the attic, but the electricians did take the necessary steps to get the plugs as close to the original location as possible making sure that Ms*** was not inconvenienced by the new location of the outletsThe plugs that were moved from the original location are ones that needed to be moved to be brought up to code(You can not have a plug hidden inside the cavity of a wall for the refrigerator and run the appliance cord through the hole in the sheetrock.) The house was not in a clean or very well-kept condition at all when we arrived, and the crew was constantly moving boxes, debris, dirty dishes, and trash to replace outlets and perform the work that was neededWhen the electricians left Ms***'s house, most parts were cleaner than when the electricians arrived on the jobAt the end of the job the crew walked through the house with Ms*** to ensure that she was satisfied, and she stated that she wasMs*** even drove to the Melrose tire shop to buy the crew lunch in the middle of the job after saying how great of a job the electricians were doingPrivett Electric also went back twice after the job was completed and installed some lighted switches and showed Ms*** that the new electrical outlets that were installed were tamper resistant and not brokePrivett Electric always strives to perform work that goes above and beyond the customers expectation and takes pride in customer satisfaction

I am rejecting this response because: The statement provided by Privet electric is simply not accurate. I took several pictures of the problems they left. Very little of the response is stated correctly. I hired someone else to wire the outlets that they said they could not do. But someone else was able to do them. They left the whole heating system tore apart and not rewired leaving no heat in one of the bedrooms. Yes I said we would fix sheet rock were it need to be repaired but I didn't mean all of them and the damage was major. They left all of their mess every where which has nothing to do with the condition of my house which was under going other repairs. If they cannot do an estimate closer then a $4000.00 difference they need to hire someone who can. I should have looked this company up on Yelp before I hired them. It might have made me change my mind.
