Pro Air Heating & Cooling Reviews (1)

Review: Contracted Pro-Air to install a heating and air conditioning unit in my home. Heating system did not work throughout entire winter, causing extremely high heating cost's. (System was running in auxiliary mode) After calling Pro-Air over 4 times to complain and ask for them to re-evaluate the installation, while stating that we could not get the house warm the problem still existed with no resolution. When the weather warmed we attempted to run the air conditioning system for the first time. The Air handler and so-called duct work was supposed to be ran in the attic instead f the basement, for a better cost of installation labor, per Pro-Air. We never did received a deduction on our bill for the attic installation. When we attempted to run the air conditioner we noticed that the dining room ceiling had water pouring from it onto our table and carpet, as well as our living room ceiling fan had water dripping out of it!. After having enough of the problems with this unit, and no resolution, we called and requested that the problem be fixed immediately and that the system be removed...we wanted a refund at this point. The contractor told us that would never happen! We never heard back from Pro-Air. Our contract clearly stated 10 year warranty on parts and 1 year on service. The System was installed in late October and we had the leak in late April. (less than a year).

After the insurance adjuster looked in the attic, he concluded that the damage was absolutely caused by faulty installation of the unit and the drip pan. We hired another heating and air contractor to come inspect the installation and he found several mistakes in the installation that caused us to have heating problems and high electrical bills, including parts installed that are not up to Code. To fix just the heating and cooling system properly it is costing us an additional $1,500.00 at the least, not including our insurance claim, with a $1,000.00 deductible to repair the ceilings and replace water damaged areas to avoid mold contamination! This has been a horrible experience! The lack of professionalism by Pro-Air to remedy what was obviously their fault, is extremely frustrating and upsetting. To conclude I am still trying to pay off the heating bills over the winter that started at over $860.00 for only one month due to faulty installation practices.Desired Settlement: I would like Pro-Air to acknowledge their error and cover the additional costs of proper installation and additional insurance/ceiling repair/heating costs.
