Pro-Balanced Corp Reviews (1)

I have been working for Aron enterprise for several years, the company uses Pro-balance as the payroll company. I never had a problem with Pro-balance until I asked them to do my 2012 tax return for me. [redacted] has insisted from that time that I am in debt to her for not paying the money owed for preparing my tax return. I had a receipt of payment I kept for more than a year. Once I moved into a new address in 10-2013 I threw it away. For more than a year I have been missing paycheck stubs. When I have emailed and asked for the pay check stubs I have been told they have been issued to my employer, My employer has not received them. I am told this company can not go back to 3 months for a check stub. As I understand the law I should be able to receive an entire years worth of stubs if I request it. I have been being charged a fee for child support to be taken out of my check, and I have been being shorted on my over time pay. Most recently I was Married in August 2014 I have submitted two different W4 forms to this company to change the amount of taxes being taken out of my check last on was submitted in early November. I have been attempting to call and have my taxes raised as I am now married with three children and it has not been done. This company and more to the point [redacted] is extremely unprofessional she is accusing me of not paying a bill which I did pay. Last year I owed the IRS because they have not taken out the correct amount of Money and are attempting to do it again this year all due to a bill that was already paid. I am being discriminated against and she is blaming it on my employer I have the emails to prove this. As I understand the law Payroll has until the next pay period to change a tax withholding it has been more then three weeks and I am paid on a weekly basis.Desired SettlementI would like the harassment of this company to stop. I would like my weekly pay check stub to be mailed to my personal address which is on file with Pro-balance. I would like my W4 changed and I would like[redacted] to stop asking me for funds that have already been paid. Business Response Pro-Balanced Bookkeeping & Tax service is a professional corporation contracted with many employers to calculate payroll. We also provide Income Tax Preparation services and did prepare this client's 2012 Individual Income Tax return. They feel they were being harassed for payment, in the 21 months since we prepared the return we have sent only 7 statements (see attached client history) requesting payment. We have not made a single phone call to try to collect payment. We do not feel this constitutes harassment. Not one time have they contacted us to discuss the balance on the account, nor have they sent us proof of payment. We are a bookkeeping service and our livelihood depends on us keeping financial records straight, but on occasion a payment is recorded wrong and we would always honor a record of payment. In the effort to appease this client we have credited their account for both our fees and all finance charges noting that they believe it was paid in full, so there will be no more requests for payment. Secondly as far as the paystubs, yes it is correct it is the law that EVERY person receiving a paycheck be provided a paystub stating their gross pay and any deductions taken out of that pay. We provide payroll services for more than 30 different clients at this time and every single employer is provided paystubs every single payday. It is the employer's responsibility to deliver those paystubs to their employees. We have been contacted directly by this employee occasionally over the years requesting paystubs. Which all requests should come directly from the employer (our client) not an employee, but since we had a separate working relationship with this specific employee, as a courtesy we worked directly with him. There has only been one time when we did not actually provide a copy of the paystubs requested and that was when he called and requested one whole year of paystubs. I told him that each paystub had the year to date information on the right hand column and that if he needed to know how much child support had been withheld his latest stub would show that amount for the whole year and I would gladly provide him with the latest paystub. I also informed him that if he actually needed each and every individual paystub for a whole year, either he or his employer would need to pay us for our time as each stub had to be created individually and e-mailed separately, because that's how the software works. He then hung up on me. As requested in the complaint effective immediately this person's paystub will be mailed directly to him at the address we have on file, as well as continuing to provide one to his employer. Also on the subject of child support, the fee charged for handling his child support is a fee dictated by your child support order and is passed on to the state to offset their costs of processing the payment. The handling fee is not charged by Pro-Balanced Bookkeeping & Tax Service, we do not charge any extra for processing any type of wage garnishment. If there are concerns about overtime pay that has not been paid it should be discussed with his employer. We strongly recommend all employees keep a thorough record of their time worked and provide that to your employer as needed. As of today, December 18, 2014, we have not received a request to change his withholding taxes, the most recent W-4 we have on file is dated 10/18/2010. If he has prepared a more recent form W-4 and provided it to his employer, they have not forwarded it to us. We have sent an e-mail and left a message with the employer trying to locate said W-4. I sent an e-mail to the last known e-mail for this employee last night with a blank W-4 form attached reminding him that it must be turned into his employer and they should submit it to us. In return we received a scathing e-mail from his wife saying this was not the correct e-mail address for her husband (although it was the last e-mail address we were asked to send paystubs to in Sept 2014) and that she considered this additional harassment by Pro-Balanced and as such would be contacting the Revdex.com again. This complaint just keeps stating request have been made and paperwork has been turned in but it never states to whom, the employer or directly to Pro-Balanced Bookkeeping, where, when? These are very unclear accusations. We work very closely with all of our employers but we will make a concerted effort to work closer with this particular employer to resolve any payroll concerns his employees may be experiencing. Please understand that us believing that individual income tax bill not being paid has nothing to do with the payroll concerns addressed. There has been no discrimination or harassment by Pro-Balanced Bookkeeping & Tax Service. So in summary we have contacted the client directly trying to resolve these issues, we feel this has become a personal issue and there is not really any way for us to professionally resolve it. We work very closely with all of our employers but we will make a concerted effort to work closer with this particular employer to resolve any payroll concerns his employees may be experiencing.
