This is the last of the incomplete jobs we were finishing from last year. Our old staff folded under the sales volume.Pro Basement has finished every job the customer has let us complete. We will explore legal action for breach of contract

10/05/2017: The business called and said they could come out tomorrow, 10/I explained that tomorrow would not work with our schedule so they said they would be out on MondayWe had thought that they abandoned our jobIt has been over a year trying to get them to complete the workI will contact Revdex.com to provide update.10/10/2017: Yesterday two guys came and they were here about 4-hours and they had to go get more equipment and did not come backThey came back today at 8:am and are still down there working (1:pm)One thing that I don't know if will be resolved is the lack of a light switchWe were told that we did not ask for oneWe feel he should have done that because we depended on him to know what he was doingWe assumed as a contractor he would put the light switches where they needed to beWe do not find this acceptable and we are not going to pay him to remove drywall to install the switch when it should have already been doneThe workers here told me that they hoped to be done by Friday10/20/2017: Emailed consumer requesting updateEmail was returned as not delivered10/20/2017: We will be gone next weekLast week they sent guys on Tuesday, Wednesday and ThursdayThey came out and did the plumbing and some paintingThursday they were close to being doneWe went down and looked and there are still items that need to be addressedThere are problems with the drywall and some of the door frames were cut too shortThe carpenter admitted they were cut wrongTheir solution was to put caulk under thereIt is too big of a space to do thisThere was a drawer that needed to be cut due to the plumbing and they cut the wrong drawerThey also got paint on our brand new cabinetsThe guy that was here wanted payment and when I said there are too many things that need to be addressed and I did not want to make final paymentThe guy left and we have not heard anything elseThe email you have for me is correct and I have received other email from youI will contact you when we return on the 30th and go over our list of things that need to be completed and repaired10/31/2017: I have attached some pictures of our basement showing some of the issues we still have for things to be completed. No one has been here doing any work since October 12th so we are starting into the 3rd week that no work has been done.On Friday the 13thone worker showed up and said he was there to do some touching up and that *** wanted to get paid that day. I told him there would be no payment because there were too many things left to resolve. He made a phone call and then leftThat is the last time anyone has been here. On Monday October 16th I texted the supervisor for our job and ask if he intended to send anyoneon Tuesdayand he responded "I am down workers, I will try to do something ASAP". On TuesdayI texted again and ask if anyone was comingon Wednesdayand he responded, "I am working on it"I did not text again and we have heard nothing from Pro Basement. We left for vacationon Friday the 20thand they had no idea we were leaving town and we heard nothing all of last weekWe are thinking that they have abandoned the job. Some of the pictures are hard to make out because they are of drywall tape that is bulging under the paint or paint on the floorSo althought some items are small others are not and if we don't get them addressed we will have to fix things they are being paid to do.Some of the door frames are cut wrong and we were told this by some of the workers and yet there solution is to caulk under themThey cut the wrong cabinet drawer to make room for plumbing and have not said how they are going to resolve thatThere is paint on the scribe piece at the end of the cabinets because as one of the people said "they don't like to use tape". This has been a nightmare, and I don't have any faith that the owner is going to do the right thing to fix things.11/08/2017: On 10/13, they sent one guy out to do workHe said he was there to do touch ups and collect paymentI told him I would not be making payment that day as there was too much work needing to be doneI did not say that I did not intend to payHe did not tell you this but we were way ahead on payment for a whileI have not heard from them regarding schedulingNext week we are open on the 13th, 14th and 15th for them to come complete smaller itemsThere is too much work for it to be done in one dayThe door frames will need to be replaced as we will not accept caulking as a solutionThey also will have to reorder the drawer that they cut.11/09/2017: *** and I talkedtonightand have decided that we do not want Pro Basement to come back to our homeWe have been told too many times that they are going to finish and it is the same drill over and over again. We were told in the beginning it would take about months and it has beenmonths and still not finished. We are done with them.We want a letter from *** *** agreeing that we can hire another contractor to finish the work that he is unable to doHe needs to agree that we can subtract the cost from the money we owe him from the original contract. We also want the warranties for the windows and doors and a written warranty on the work that was done by him, electric, plumbing, etc.If he is unwilling to agree to this we will obtain an attorney to accomplish this and also sue for damages for lost wages, pain and suffering and being mislead by him on matters pertaining to the remodeling of our basement.I was eligible to return to work the first of June and have been unable to because Pro Basement could not finish our projectThey had months from September until June to complete the project. *** has been totally stressed out over this and has seen the doctor several timesSo compensation for pain and suffering will also be sought after. We will also be seeking attorney fees since we were forced to take this action to get our project completed. This has been a nightmare for us and needs to stopWe can't take anymore and believe that the only way to resolve this is for someone else to finish.I don't know what the law is on things like this but there must be a limit to how long a company can do this to peopleWe want a response ASAP and don't want to wait weeks for an answerWe want an answer byMonday November 13th.11/14/2017: I have heard nothing as usual. I guess we will start gathering the information to turn I've to the Attorney

This Customer is impossible to work it. We did service work even after the customer posted a negative review. Regarding her HVAC issueThey bought a old house The furnace and AC coil was probably never cleaned. Our concrete saw is a "wet Saw" and creates no dust!! We will
be taking legal action against this customer. Though this customer is unethical we still honored our warranty. Her Husband did the interior window finish there was no concerns brought to our attention related to any window installation issues.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/02/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The owner explanation makes it sound like I made a claims and that untrueThe claim was very validI did try to reach the owner over several days and he never reached back out(I have text messaging as proof) After this claim was filed he wanted to speak with my husband instead of me and that was fineSo, of course at that time we had no problem reaching himOver the course of a week he and my husband reached a solution and the issue was resolved

This company continued to not address these issues and was asked to not returnI feel the company should remove any remaining charges

The ***'s purchased a basement Egress WindowAfter the installation the ***'s did no routine home maintenance to prevent flooding in their Basement
*** ** of our staff went by the house to inspect the property after the
***'s had water in the basement*** ** found the gutters were clogged and over flowing directly into the retaining well
Gutter down spots dumped directly towards the well
Well back fill had subsided from pour maintenance
The ***'s filed a insurance claimThe restoration company their insurance company sent out tore out areas in the basement including a large "V" cut into their main basement area
Soon after, the ***'s found out they had no insurance coverage for
Flooding"
I contacted their insurance company to help and the adjuster implied the ***'s were under investigation for some type of fraud
The damage was a result of lack of property maintenance and indifference by the new homeowners
As a professional courtesy, we replaced the carpet once in their daughters bedroom
As no good dead goes unpunished, the ***'s still complained after not resolving the home maintenance concerns as a torrential rain again got the carpet wet
As a company policy we do not negotiate with Terrorists
We vigorously dispute this complaint

*** *** *** have been very patient as we are finishing the final items today on their project. We replaced 90% of our associates in the middle of the project finish. Our business doubled in size over months .....They have a beautiful basement as promised

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 14, 2015/10/13) */
The company said they would refund my moneyHold off for a few days

Mr *** had forgotten we did schedule a return visit to complete this jobWe arrived as scheduled and this job was completed

Mr ***'s basement is being completed as I type this. Our rapid growth of business in the past months has caused growing pains in our production dept.Add this to a customer that can not decide on finish locations and finishes and it is a recipe for delay. We are meeting every request that is
part of the contract as written as well as continual additional requests for changes. The ***'s and Pro Basement will both be very happy when the project is completed in next days.

We were working with Mr*** and then he has now asked us to quit working on his house. Our company had a GIANT growth spurt last year with a million dollars of additional business. The ***s were one of the final projects to be wrapped up. My *** is paid up on the status of the project and we are sorry he would not let us finish

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
IIt is total *** that we cannot decide on what to finishThey started this job in September and told us monthsNot once have we ever held up anythingWe had to hire other contractors to do our floor and cabinets because "Pro Basement" did not show up, sometimes for months at a timeWe had to threaten legal action to get him back out here againThis business is terribleThe owner is incompetent, rude, and does not communicate We have been told by former employees that one of the reasons they left is because they were tired of lying to customers This guy has a lot of nerve alto insinuate that we are the problem He doesn't have growing pains he mismanaged things and blames his employees and customers I have been told there are at least people in the same predicament as usI cannot believe he has the nerve to say these thingsI am sure he will probably retain a good rating though because he probably pays to belong to this organizationHis response is pathetic.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Good morning, Here is one of the estimates that we have received for repairing the substandard and not to electrical code, rewiring of our basement. Please see attachmentPro Basements response to our complaint was just plain sad. For having a "million-dollar year", it’s funny they couldn't get good, qualified people over to our house, on a consistent basis to finish our project to months ago Pro Basement may say that they "had a GIANT growth spurt last year with a million dollars of additional business", however, if that was the case, then why couldn't hire enough qualified people to finish our basementPro Basement also stated in their response that we are "paid up on the status of the project and we are sorry he would not let us finish." First, I would like to hope that we are paid up when there is maybe 35,dollars’ worth of substandard work completed and that we have paid Pro Basement 47,716.00. We now need to pay roughly 4,just to have the electrical redone that was not to codePro Basement’s claim to be sorry "he would not let us finish" we feel is disingenuous. How did we stop the company from finishing? It's been over a yearHow about Pro Basement not allowing us the use of our basement for over a year? Sincerely, *** and *** ***

This customer (wife) filed a complaint while I was working with the husband to do additional work outside the scope of our Egress Project The egress window is perfect. As a courtesy...we offered to put the customers fence back which was not part of the contract. The customer did not pay for
this. The FREE work was completed as scheduled with the husband. How can they complain about something they did not contract or pay for. No Good Dead Goes Unpunished............

Good afternoon,Here is another estimate of what is required for repairing the substandard construction and electrical work in our basement from Pro Basement. Please see attachmentAs you can see, 3,for electrical and 7,for the constructionAgain, we have already paid 47,to Pro Basement
